Later that day, students have the oppor- tunity to participate in the “Vow of Silence.” Huntsville High School students will be joining thousands of people around the world who are making a statement about children’s rights by saying nothing at all. The senior girls’ bas- ketball team competed in a premier tourna- ment over the weekend, notably beating a high-ranking team. The girls played very well and are eager to play their next game in the upcoming weeks. The senior boys’ soccer team remains unde- feated except for a single game lost to Parry Sound. Boys’ volleyball will also be starting up over the next few weeks. Huntsville High looks forward to the budding athletic talent that will reveal itself as we enter a new sea- son of sports. Fall has arrived at Huntsville High School, bringing new sports, new school units and new activities for local youth.

Several students from Huntsville have successfully been placed around the world through annual Rotary Exchanges. Students can gain insight into culture, language and traditions through these trips and many participants claim it is a life-changing expe-rience.

If you or a student you know loves to travel and try new customs, please contact Sue Fawcett for information and an applica-tion at 789-5594.
