This is vital during the early growth-stage as the young bird's body weight increases five-fold during the first ten days and requires a higher-quality, more readily digestible source of protein during this stage. By increasing the digestibility of the protein in Alphasoytm Gold, less undigested materials remain in the ileum. This leaves fewer residual nutrients for the growth of clostridium perfringens, thus minimising the risk of necrotic enteritis

+ The Yeast derived Mannan and Soybean Oligosaccharides (SBOS) in Alphasoytm Gold support the development of an optimal gut environment. This is key to the effective digestion and absorption of nutrients and enables the young bird to derive maximum value from the protein, energy and fibre supplied

+ The Yeast Beta-Glucan in Alphasoytm Gold play a role in supporting the development of the young birds' immune system. This means that birds fed Alphasoytm Gold can maintain performance in terms of body-weight gain and FCR, even when under pathogenic challenge or situations of stress

In 2017 the innovation team in Agilia set out to create a functional protein-rich ingredient tailored specifically to the needs of young poultry today. A protein that would provide young birds with exactly the right combination of nutrition and functionality to help them thrive and grow as part of an antibiotic-free feeding system. Agilia invested significantly in the research, development and testing of Alphasoytm Gold to ensure the product met with its stringent quality standards and outperformed the other main leading products on the market.

How the manufacturing process unlocks greater value

Soybean Meal (SBM) and other unprocessed protein sources can vary hugely in consistency and quality depending on the source of origin or the variability of the growing season. In poultry pre-starter and starter diets, raw material variability can lead to reduced performance.

The unique Alphasoytm Gold manufacturing process is designed to remove this variability, as well as unlock maximum nutritional and functional value from the SBM so the young bird can benefit.

The Alphasoytm Gold manufacturing process does five things:

+ It produces a highly-digestible, consistent quality product, with a minimum protein level of 52%

+ It improves the digestibility of all key amino acids by up to 2% for broilers

+ It creates a product with a unique healthy fibre content by reducing fermentable carbohydrates and increasing digestible carbohydrates

+ By altering the carbohydrate profile, the process also unlocks 16% more energy (compared to standard SBM), delivering a much needed boost to the young animal

+ The processing also reduces ANF’s to safe levels
