students to feel independent on research and with the help of modern applications for all courses can image the explanations more clearly rather than on the board. To innovate students creativity and thinking skills to outcome problems from the internet. One of the main issues youngsters can’t cope with are the long hours of listening to theories from their professors rather than joining in the activity which affects a few teachers in OFS, “ The lack of attention students pay during brief presentations frustrates my presence of this career” said Richard Glover, Head of English.

!“ Discovering the efficient ways of computers thrives the knowledge of each individual toward their future” mentioned Susan J. Peterson, Academic Advisor. To an extend of persuading the benefits of replacing the old-fashioned style of referencing through a Dictionary or a published Course book, Technology Programming seems like a sold deal for OFS. “ Learning through the web holds an unimaginable potential for innovating education” proudly said by a Grade 10 parent, Megan Baker. The school has focused through their goal that can further develop throughout their academic course and they strive for the best when it comes to their students education. Most parents are also willing to pursue their child’s education through the computers by using all sorts of applications improving their work skills and to show the capability of using the media can also benefit in their studies, to make contacting their peers or teachers when in doubt or to do smart research they can base on among their problems in the work lifestyle.

School principal Jed High had said, “The potential in technology has always been apparent, but we have never fully utilised it. By introducing a new entire online curriculum we hope to enable students to excel further than before and break boundaries and limitations that we have been restricted to before.” With the use of an online curriculum, this eliminates the traditional processes of

face to face classroom teaching. However, Overseas Family School recognises the value of having an entire online curriculum in comparison to the current one.

With the internet rewards stand benefits that have yet to come, other schools are beginning to see and recognise the potential and value of technology. As Overseas Family School takes the first steps to path of technological evolution, others begin to follow behind their footsteps. Overseas Family School believes that being the first to deliver an entire online curriculum is a large step.

Online-Schooling Sets Debates Around The World

Richard Glover head of the English department of Overseas Family School, expressed his notion regarding the rent decision that the school had decided to undertake. “Students’ increased dependancy on technology in every aspect of their academic lives is a double edge sword” said by Richard Glover. The restraints on including an entire online curriculum is unmistakable evident. With the use of an entire online curriculum, it eliminates the need of immediate feedback form students and teachers, polishing student collaboration skills and student interaction with the contact, which is being taught. Although the issue of having an entire online curriculum can be strongly argued against with many supporting points. What traditional face-to-face teaching has struggled for so long is the effectiveness to apply contact that can captivate and engage students. However the use of technology has shown its significance in students way of learning. !What Richard Glover has addressed is a partial truth of the issue. Not all of these restraints are always applied to having an online curriculum different curriculum have different retrains on itself. The combination of technology and current standard teaching has shown to be an acceptable balance of teaching. however the efficiency at which content is taught to students with an online curriculum is sent to be more superior by its adherent. The advancement of technology has always helped us solve new problems that we face mmd made life easier for us. Technology has showed us that there is always a solution to a problem. So why cant technology be a solution towards inefficient in our traditional teaching. !As time has passed, schools all around the world have refined and modernised their educational structures. OFS has become a role model for other schools to follow. OFS is currently in the process of reforming and developing their educational structure in order to accommodate and cultivate our attentions in setting a new standard of educational software around the world.

The New Learning Generation

‘Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets’ Leonardo Da Vinci said this once, He was one of the most innovative and igneous inventors of his time. He has become a symbol throughout the world that teaches us that nothing can stop us from learning. The only limit is your curiosity. !Recently this January, the first student to be entirely educated online as announced. Lara began her story when she had started studying Kindergarten courses online. During this time the internet was still a developing seed that had

yet to grow. She had graduated from MIT receiving an undergraduate degree in Information Technology. During her years in University she did not have to attend to any traditional classes. People have claimed that she has over 10,000 Facebook friends. Although many speculate that being taught in a completely isolated environment from online courses has caused many psychological impacts to her such as the inability to socialise with her friends and peers or insufficiency real life experiences. However these are valid points tat do bring attention to the issues. there have also been many researches regarding home schooling that bring light to theses issues. Being taught in a complete online-course is almost

identical to being home-schooled. “Students being home schooled have showed a higher academic results than those collected from schools. We believe that this is because they take a bigger part in their own learning, laying out their own learning party for themselves. Not only that but they still retain a same social status that any normal student in a regular school would have.” Dr. Fairly explained, since home-schooling is nearly identical to being

taught in an online-course. This research supports the clear benefits of being taught in an online-curriculum.! With OFS becoming one of the first schools to completely redefine their educational curriculum, we are slowly but slowly proceeding into a newer generation of learning. Lara has also remind us that anyone can and deserves the right to learn. Nothing should stop us from learning: our only limits are, our curiosity. As Leonardo Da Vinci once inspired young minds to learn, Lara has become the first student to set the standard of a new educational system.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Futuristic Statement! As Futurists we believe that change is necessary. Throughout the entire newspaper our aim was to focus on reflecting our belief of change. Our aim for this newspaper was to construct articles that show and reflect our statement and even try and convince other groups that change is a good thing. The futuristic claim on the idea of online-schooling obviously does acknowledge the impact of online-schooling worldwide but mostly supports the heavier advantages towards the technological advancement. As scientists say, change will always come. !The Newspaper and The Typical Reader!Throughout the newspaper our group tried to have articles that dint show complete bias towards change or towards ‘futurists’. We tried to have the opinions of all the different groups, opposing arguments and even most of the strongest points against the change. However we obviously did have to show some form of bias towards our own group and towards our statement. Our group tired to keep the newspaper as simple as possible with all images relating to at least one idea in each article. Our audience for this newspaper would definitely be people who believe that change is important. Or rather people who are for change. We believe that this newspaper would spread information along other believers that change is good for this world. After all technology controls us in today’s world. !Our Objective! Our main objective for this newspaper is to spread the word of change. As we believe change is important for the world, we believe that it is important to make other people think the same way we do. Raising awareness that technological advancement is a huge step in the world is another element of our overall objective. However the technological advancement in education is one change that that industry has never incurred. We strongly believe that the change should be accepted as a blessing in every aspect of our lives, especially when its related to education. In our newspaper we tried to communicate these ideas with the reader so that they understand why technological advancement is important. !!Ways Our Profile Has Impacted the Articles in our Newspaper! In our articles we have to assume that the change in the technological advancement in the educational system of OFS will result in positive feedback from almost every other school that implements it. Our profile also reflects that we should know or we should show some evidence that the new educational system will help other schools, thus students. Our futuristic profile also impacts our articles because we have to stick with continuously saying that ‘change is good’. As futurists we are have to believe that even though the change in the new system for the educational industry is good,it may cause other people to loose their jobs. This force us to persuade people into thinking that the new system is still better. We have also written our newspaper articles in ways that give the reader no clue as to how much money this system costs, who had to pay for it, why it has been decided to be implemented. We just had to support the new technology.
