This newsletter brings you a brief report about the work of the Chesterton Institute during 2011, and an overview of the continua- tion of our work, upcoming programmes and projects which are real- ity with the support of Seton Hall University and our supporters. The continuing development of the Institute's work in Europe and South America is certainly one of them. This year for the third consecutive year we will have conferences in France and Spain and in early November our sixth annual Latin American Series will be held in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. It has been an extraordinary year of conferences with hun- dreds of people attending the events including many young studentsa new generation of Chestertonians. In August 2011 the Institute co-sponsored the opening show at the 2011 Rimini Meeting: “The Ballad of the White Horse” which was attended by over 3,000 people. This important event coincided with the publication of the first Italian edition of The Chesterton Review. As the interest in Chesterton continues to grow around the world so does our publi- cation The Chesterton Review is published in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and the newly released Italian edition. May I make a direct appeal for your financial support for this on-going work? Though we receive occasional grants for specific projects, our yearly budget still requires the help provided each year by readers of The Chesterton Review. The subscribers of our jour- nal form a fellowship, and for almost forty years, your donationslarge and smallhave enabled us to continue our work of bringing Chesterton's wisdom to a world which is more badly in need of it than it has ever been.
