A redenvelope (hongbao in Mandarin) is a monetary gift whichis given in Chinese society during holiday or specialoccasions. The red color of the packet symbolizes goodluck. Happy Chinese New Year - “wishing you greathappiness and prosperity.” In Mandarin: “gong xi fa cai”(pronounced gong she fa tsai).
