Recipe of the MonthChicken Cordon-bleu
Ingredients 8 small boneless, skinless ½ C margarine chicken breasts ¼ C white wine 8 thin slices ham ¼ - ½ C sour cream 8 slices Swiss cheese parsely, minced 1 egg salt & pepper 2 C bread crumbs, with Parmesean cheese
Directions Flatten chicken breasts with meat clever or mallet. Place slice of ham and cheese on each chicken breast. Roll up and secure with string. Dip chicken in egg and roll in seasoned bread crumbs. Heat butter in skillet. Brown breasts. Reduce heat and cook until done, about 30 minutes. Remove breasts. Add wine and sour cream to drippings. Mix. Add parsely. Put chicken back in wine sauce. Heat and serve.

THE AUSTIN AffILIATE Of THE PANCREATIC CANCER ACTION NETwORK
Announces the 2010 PurpleStride 5K Timed Run and 1K Walk to be Held September 25th at the Hill Country Galleria
wHAT: The Austin Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will hold its second annual PurpleStride 5K on September 25th, 2010. There will be a timed 5K and 1K Fun Run/Walk. Proceeds will benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. This event will be family friendly and will have live music, drinks, and snacks. Pets are welcome and dogs can be registered to walk!
wHY: Pancreatic cancer is usually undetectable and often deadly. There are no routine diagnostic tools to detect pancreatic cancer, and many times it has no early symptoms. Pancreatic cancer research is heavily underfunded, and awareness needs to be raised to help fight this deadly disease. This disease does not discriminate and impacts men and women of all ages and ethnicities.

United States.• Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality among the leading
cancer killers. 94% of pancreatic cancer patients will die within five years of diagnosis – only 6% will survive more than five years. 76% of patients die within the first year of diagnosis.
• There are no early diagnostic tools and there is no cure. • This year, 43,140 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic
cancer and 36,800 will die from the disease. • It is the most under-funded, under-recognized and least-studied of
