Harbour Café, Venachar Lochside We are originally from the UK

and still have family there so in April when we went home for a holiday we decided to get married while

home with family and friends! We wanted to find a venue that was traditionally Scottish, romantic and

relaxed and yet formal enough for a wedding with all the trimmings. We had been to Venachar Lochside

for lunch before and liked it and when we went and asked about having our wedding there, nothing was

too much for them. We organised the wedding in three weeks and with the help of the lovely and helpful

staff, the perfect wedding was arranged. The sun was shining, the view over the loch was amazing. The

staff put all the chairs and tables on the grass for us and we got married outside. The reception was

upstairs and we managed to fit 52 people in comfortably. We even had a DJ for the night-time part. The

food was amazing and we had everything from scottish salmon to roast beef.

I could not have wished for a more perfect day in a more perfect place. Now that I am back in Sydney I

will always remember our special day there. I would recommend Venachar Lochside for a wedding as its

just so special. Heaven x 5* value, 5* service

A first class lunch in an excellent We had an excellent lunch with a great view across the

loch. The food was very tasty, well presented & good portions. The only negative was the time it took to

serve the food but we put this down to the fact it was all prepared fresh. The delay allowed us to enjoy

the view & the company. The staff were very attentive & importantly not over attentive. We will be back

when we are next back in Scotland when we take out my parents for lunch.

We would like to say thank you for everything you and all the staff did to make our

wedding so special. We had a fantastic day and our families and guests have not been able to stop

talking about what an amazing time they had! We would also like to thank the chef who did an

amazing job. The meal was incredible - such a wide variety of food and all delicious. We have had a

lot of comments from people about how good the food was and the vegetarians were impressed

with the variety of dishes that they had to choose from. We really had the perfect day and can't

thank you enough for making it happen. We will definitely be recommending you in future!

Hi. we're from London visiting family. We've eaten in the

restaurant twice in the last week. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. I have to say that this is

some of the best food I've ever had. The breakfasts were excellent and the dinner was delicious. I

had the 'full-on' breakfast - and it was! My partner had the healthier vegetarian breakfast and it

looked good enough to eat. For dinner she had parmesan and herb polenta and I had two different

types of lamb on the same plate. Both great. My father had a huge plate of fresh mariniere mussels

which he proclaimed as wonderful. I'm not a big dessert eater but I'm told by the family that they

were great too. Good children's menu. Friendly service. If I lived in here I would be a regular. 5*

value, 5* service

Check out the fresh fish with batter. To die for!! Lovely views and wonderful

atmosphere. Well worth the few miles drive from Callander.

asked for more. The food was great, the organization great, the location was great. worth flying halfway

round the world for!

This is a wee gem of a place. Great food and fast and friendly service. My fiancee is a

'foodie' and she pronounced her starter (scallops) the best she'd ever had! I had the sea bass fillets as a

main course and it was superb. Everyone at the table was ooo-ing and ahhh-ing at the taste and quality

of the food. Go soon!! 4* value, 5* service

I visited the restaurant tonight , for the first time, It will not be the last. Three of

our party started with the scallops and declared them excellent. I had the salmon pate also superb. The

main courses were equally enjoyable, the service was friendy and relaxed. Unfortunately we did not have

room to sample the interesting array of desserts. This is definitely a great addition to a village that has

previously struggled to produce a decent restaurant. Well done!. 4* value, 4* service

Excellent amazing food. We visited on Tapas Tuesday and ate like kings.

After hearing good reviews we finally got round to visiting and were very

impressed. The waiter was friendly without being over bearing and intrusive. The food was very

fresh and tasty. The Steak and Ale Pie was cooked beautifully and the pie top was so light. My

husband's beer battered cod was lovely also. We both said we will be returning to try more dishes

on the menu. 4* value, 4* service

We have been abroad for three years and have now returned and were looking for

somewhere decent to have lunch. We found it. Good food, freshly cooked with good friendly

service. Interior decor is a bit dark but we will certainly be back to sample what looks like a

delicious evening menu. Keep it up, there is a desperate need for places like yours in this area.

After driving past a few times we called in for coffee, and

after seeing the cakes, just had to indulge. The location is beautiful right on the banks of Loch

Venachar with seats outside if the weather permits. All the cakes/pies are made by the cook and

not bought in. It is just a pity that we were on the way home. The pies looked very tempting but

had to settle for cake only. The menu was inviting and we will go back when we visit the Trossachs

again. The service was efficient and very friendly.
