Greetings
The 2019 Winter season got off to a good start with the NSW ski fields opening early on the
31st May. August was a bumper month with a metre of snow falling over 5 days around August
the 11th.
Both lodges had high occupancy this year with Mt Hotham turning a profit.

Lodge Maintenance
Jindabyne On-site management is contracted to Lois Merrinan who is located in Jindabyne (not at the Lodge). Her
telephone number is (02) 6457 2337. Contact Lois if you have any problems such as damage to the Lodge,
breakdown of equipment, lost keys if the Lodge Captain cannot assist.
A dishwasher leaked towards the end of the season resulting in water damage to
the kitchen floor, carpet and floor level carpentry. The carpet was lifted and dried
and the underlay replaced. The insurer has been to the property and the Board
are yet to receive the assessment.
The deck plans have gone to the council for DA approval.
Painting of the facias and eaves has been delayed due to difficulty finding a
contractor to carry out the works.
Hotham
Minor works will be carried out over the Summer season as part of normal maintenance and upkeep.
As usual, the code for the front door has been changed for the Summer season.
Memberships for Sale
If you wish to enquire about the purchase of A, B or C memberships, please contact Bob Philp on 0448 983 022. Likewise, if you wish to sell your membership, please contact Bob Philp as there are people waiting to purchase memberships of our club.

REMINDERS The following is extracted from the club website and is a pre-season reminder.
Duty Roster A duty roster is located on the inside of each bedroom door and the Noticeboard near the kitchen. Please co-operate by doing the
daily “chores” allocated to you. Garbage bins need to be put out on certain nights for collection (check the Noticeboard). It is
preferable to totally fill one garbage at a time to minimize collection costs.
Consideration for Other Patrons All common areas are available for all patrons, and all patrons should be sensitive to the needs of others.
Keep noise to a minimum, particularly at night and early in the morning (not everyone wants to get up at 5am and get to the first lift
of the day!). If you have been out partying at the local clubs or hotels, and you are coming home very late, please be aware that any
sound made at late hours will carry throughout the entire lodge, especially if using kitchen appliances.
Non-paying guests may visit you in the common areas, but are not permitted to stay overnight. Patrons are responsible for the
behaviour of their guests (including paying for any damage they may cause).
Lodge Captain He/she represents the Club’s management. If you require assistance or advice, or you would like to make a suggestion or complaint,
please see him/her. Remember that he/she is also on holidays like you.
The Lodge Captain (after notifying the Accommodation Director of the Club) is empowered to take any necessary action to ensure
the proper running of the Lodge.
Before Departure Advise the Lodge Captain if you are departing early.
Clean, vacuum and tidy your room and ensuite, and the spaces you used in the refrigerator, freezers and kitchen cupboards etc.
Fill out the Register next to the front door and leave the room key in the door lock.
If you are the last out of the Lodge, ensure all internal bins are emptied.
Ensure all windows and doors are locked (this is also important during your stay!).

Member News Thank you to Sandy Gilfillan who sent through some photos of their recent trip to Tahoe for
some skiing with the Epic Pass.
Sandy writes,
Just thought you might like to see a couple of photos from this winter in Tahoe (Heavenly
mostly). We had approximately 500 inches here and there are some resorts still operating,
in fact we are going to mammoth mountain just south of here on July 7th for a couple of
days skiing. Tahoe has 3 resorts on the Vail Epic Pass, Heavenly, Kirkwood and Northstar
all of which we typically visit during the course of the season.
Regards, Sandy
