IESNA FULL CUTOFF GUIDELINESA light fixture with a light distribution where no candela (light) occurs at or above an angle of 90° above nadir. Additionally, the candela per 1000 lamp lumens does not numerically exceed 100 (10%) at a vertical angle 80° above nadir. This applies to all lateral angles around the luminaire.

THE EVOLUTION OF LIGHT CONTINUES

Today’s stricter zoning requirements for control of light pollution require outdoor fixtures that can reduce light spill. The Hilton Flat Lens Series features the benefits of traditional Vertical Burn Technology combined with the cutoff advantages of a flat lens to form a high performance hybrid fixture based upon the latest improvements in lamp and reflector technologies.

A vertically oriented lamp is completely surrounded by the reflector system to control the lamp output, produce sharp cutoff and optimize light distribution.

The lamp’s arc tube is perpendicular to the lens, minimizing arc image and maximizing the distance from the lens surface.

As a result, perceived glare is reduced.

The vertical burn luminaires equal the cutoff and glare control properties of horizontal burn fixture technology while matching maximum performance of vertical burn fixtures listed as IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America) semi-cutoff. The Hilton Flat Lens is the perfect solution for meeting IESNA’s requirements for acceptable full cutoff classification and uniformity ratios. The Hilton Contoured Lens is ideal for site designs which call for lighting large spaces using higher poles. Like the Hilton Flat Lens, the Hilton Contoured Lens features a reflector system which totally surrounds a vertically oriented lamp. This maximizes light distribution and uniformity.

Providing broader lighting coverage from every fixture in an even, uniform distribution pattern, the Hilton Contoured Lens brings you increased visibility and security. With the Hilton Contoured Lens, fewer poles and fixtures can be used to improve cost efficiency.

LSI has expanded its line of high-performance, Vertical Burn Hilton fixtures to offer you more choices than ever before.

As the latest addition to the Hilton family, a flat lens fixture is now available to meet the growing demands of stricter zoning requirements. The Hilton Flat Lens offers lighting uniformity and efficiency, in addition to full cutoff as defined by the IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America).

Also, part of the expanded Hilton family is the Hilton II and the Hilton II Small. With the Hilton II and Hilton II Small, LSI has packaged the distinctive styling and unbeatable performance of the original Hilton in a smaller, more compact, more architecturally appealing fixture. The Hilton II and Hilton II Small provide the same range of choices you’ve come to expect from this sophisticated line of outdoor fixtures, while providing lower EPAs.

Designed to enhance today’s architectural styles, the Hilton Series’ soft, rounded lines will complement the curves of any building.

In addition, a variety of choices are available with the expanded Hilton Series to help you meet your lighting needs perfectly:

ARM MOUNTING A one-piece, extruded arm with internal bolt tracks offers easy mounting. Arm is compatible with all fixture mounting configurations.

POLE-TOP MOUNTING The cast aluminum mounting hub conceals the wiring compartment and mounts directly to LSI’s unique “pole-top mounting plate” via a high-strength, grade five steel bolt with nylon insert and split-lock washer for double locking. The fixture is pre-wired for ease of installation.

Support arms consist of four 11/16” O.D. aluminum rods.

TOP-ACCESS (HILTON II AND HILTON II SMALL ONLY)The Hilton II and Hilton II Small Top-Access disc or dome cover offers easy access with no loose hardware. Three stainless steel, captivefasteners seal the top cover to the housing to keep out insects, dustand moisture.

HOUSING

HILTON LARGE: The Hilton Large features a one-piece, spun aluminum housing with a cast aluminum door. Four stainless steel, captive door fasteners provide secure closure and allow for easy bottom access with no loose hardware.

HILTON II: Designed around a 1000 Watt Metal Halide Reduced Envelope lamp, the Hilton II’s smaller, more compact housing results in reduced windloads for lower EPAs. Existing poles can be used for retrofitting, while lighter-gauge, less expensive poles can be used for new construction.

HILTON II SMALL: Available up to 320 watts, the Hilton II Small’s smaller, more compact housing (only 20” in diameter) results in reduced windloads for lower EPAs. Available in dome and disc top styles.

LIGHT SOURCES

Clear lamps are supplied as standard. Pulse-Start Metal Halide, Super Metal Halide, Metal Halide, Metal Halide Reduced Envelope and High Pressure Sodium lamps are available to meet your lighting needs. (See Ordering Chart for available lamp/housing combinations)

REFLECTORS/DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS

Nine high-performance, high-tech reflector systems are available. The Hilton II and Hilton Large reflectors are field rotatable for flexible, uniform light distribution. Choose from Type II, Type III, Type FA, Type FP, Type FT, Type FR, Type V, and ART (Advanced Reflector Technology) Type AFT and Type AI. LENSESThe Hilton Series offers flat lenses for sharp cutoff lighting, and contoured lenses when broad lighting coverage is preferred. All flat and contoured lenses are sealedto the cast aluminum lens frame (Large) or into the bottom of the top-accesshousing (Hilton II and Hilton II Small) with continuous EDPM gasketing toprevent entry of insects, dust and moisture.

FINISH COLORS & ACCENT STRIPINGEach Hilton fixture is finished with DuraGrip®, LSI’s baked-on, polyester-powder coat finishing process. LSI’s DuraGrip finish withstands weather changes without cracking or peeling, and is guaranteed for 5 full years.
