2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and
is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped
for every good work.
The Holy Scriptures include all 66 books of the Bible, beginning
with the book of Genesis and ending with the book of Revelation

things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and
unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own
destruction.

1 Timothy 5:17-18 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and

Note: Not only do the Holy Scriptures come from God, but He has given them to us in such a way that we can depend on them as being
2 Peter 1:20-21 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture
came about by the prophet's own interpretation.
For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke
from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
They are Useful for Teaching us what to believe and how to Live
They are Useful for Convincing us of wrong beliefs and wrong behavior
They are Useful for Restoring us to Right Beliefs and Right Behavior
They are Useful for Training us in Righteousness
Note: Verse 17 tells us that the Holy Scriptures are useful for the four things mentioned above in order that “the man of God,” ie: the believer in Jesus Christ who belongs to God “may be perfect,” ie: complete in the sense that he is “thoroughly furnished” or “fully equipped” for all good works
