To date, we have sold over 12,000 tickets with over 70% of the postal codes coming from outside St. Albert! Thank you to all of you for making this so successful and enjoyable. See you at the Rally!! Mike Howes Chair With just six weeks to go till show time, I could not have more confidence in our group of volunteers and our chances of enjoying a successfully run event! The review meet- ings with the various CCA reps and our directors in October went very well and enabled our directors to fine tune their plans and gain confidence in the direction they have been heading. The logistical walk through in November was evi- dence too that each of you have now taken charge of your areas and have now be- gun to engage the rest of our volunteers. You are an awe- some board and it was evi- dent and not overlooked at how much preparation and planning has already taken place. I am very excited about the rally on the 14 th and having everyone out to Apex Casino to be suited up in our volun- teer apparel! This will also be our last full get together be- fore the event, and with Christmas in the mix, the event will be just around the corner. It seems that time is slipping away. We are only a stones throw away from the World Financial Group Continental Cup. The event is almost here and I know we will be ready to welcome the World’s best curling teams and all the fans that enjoy this great sport. Thank you all for coming out to have your uniforms sized and I look forward to seeing you again in December. Please make sure to note that we will be kicking off the entire World Financial Group Continental Cup with the Volunteer Ap- preciation Party. We appreciate you so much that we want you to join us on Wednesday January 12 @ 5:30 pm, in the Patch for a lovely dinner before the first day of the event. Doors will be open after dinner to your friends and family for the Opening Ceremony at 8:30 pm in the Performance Area; then off to the Keith’s Patch to dance the night away as we get ready for another epic event. The second volunteer rally will take

place on Tuesday, December 14.

The main goal for the rally is to pick

up your uniform. We will be doing a

brief rundown of the event, any per-

tinent information about access to

the building, cases of emergency,

volunteer etiquette and frequently

asked questions.

It will give you an opportunity to

join us for a meal and walk away

with your accreditation pass, uni-

form and all of your questions an-

swered. It is extremely important

for you to make time to pick up your

uniform. We will be running groups

according to their committees.

Please come at your assigned time.
