ABSTRACT
Cyberport is an important Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure project being developed in Hong Kong. Its aim is to support the HKSAR’s Information Technology (IT) and Information Services (IS) strategy, and is a symbol of Hong Kong’s determination to be a leading digital City.
The Cyberport combines state-of-the-art interactive technology with a nurturing environment to facilitate the cross-fertilisation of ideas. It provides the essential infrastructure for the formation of a strategic cluster of like-minded IT and IT-related companies. Architects and planners have given careful attention to every single detail in designing and constructing Hong Kong’s IT flagship. There are ergonomic workspaces with ocean and green views; a cybercentre and IT street of world-class standard. The professional community at Cyberport should take pride in being part of Cyberport with its modern architecture, intelligent offices, state-of-the-art broadband telecommunications infrastructure, a wide range of shared facilities, and open landscaped areas. Each and every element has been carefully orchestrated into the natural seafront setting on this 24 hectares of land at Telegraph Bay of Hong Kong Island.
