More accolades to our wonderful cake bakers, be

The children thoroughly enjoyed all the fabulous activities on Friday. They especially enjoyed watching Mr G skip. After hearing this I was looking forward to their written recounts about the day and I wasn’t disappointed. We shared many funny
stories about the events.
Keep practising basic facts at home - I am noticing an improvement in their knowledge but they can forget some facts they previously knew. We play games together to practise these as well as daily practise of our new facts. At present we are learning our doubles to
20 – a challenge for all.
Kind regards. Julia
Kea (Miss Stewart)
Well here we are half way through the term and it is time for a big clear up of resources at school and home. If you could begin looking for any safety vests, school readers or library books that you may have under beds and down couches it would be much
appreciated.
The children have had their current spelling lists for two weeks due to pets day and other interruptions. They will get a new spelling list
for the coming week on Monday.
As part of one of our topics in class we have been looking at how animals and people adapt to living in harsh climates. You can find a YouTube clip about the Sahara desert on our ultranet page under
Topic.
Reading will be resuming as normal after a week of running
records.
Regards. Megan

Hi everyone,
Open Day on Friday was fantastic, I really enjoyed seeing all the children with their pets, meeting the Grandparents and seeing all the cakes going under the hammer. Congratulations Johnny for winning ‘Supreme Pet’ on the day. An awesome effort. Johnny has now entered his calf into the Canterbury A & P School Championships which are scheduled for next week. Good luck
Johnny (from the whole school).
Thanks. Jenni
