If local skills are trained, Alphatron engineers will only be required for the final setting up and the trial trip. Fully engineered The final bridge can be composed at an early stage, because of its modular construction. This includes all engineering details the shipyard requires in order to proceed. Our Rotterdam office is available for full engineering backup in case of queries during the building process. Composing assistance (optional) If the owner or the shipyard need assistance in selecting the right modules, at cost a CD-rom can be provided, to compose the bridge lay out using standard ALPHABRIDGE components. Sightlines An optional Vstep software module will be available to assist the shipyard in designing the final bridge lay out and sightlines by using ALPHABRIDGE standard components. Free selection of brands In many occasions, the selection of navigation and communication equipment is a matter of personal taste and experience with the manufacturer and its representatives. Within the ALPHABRIDGE concept, clients can choose freely from a selection of manufacturers and models, represented by Alphatron Marine. Although the standard configuration includes equipment manufactured by Alphatron, like ALPHACON conning software and the ALPHACHART electronic chart system, other components from selected makes can be integrated into the concept on request. INS The Alphatron bridge concept can be composed to comply with INS rules alternatively. According to owner’s demands a special megayacht version is available. Voyage Data Recorder A type approved ALPHADATA VDR system can be integrated in the system, using all available data. Additional modules In line with the standard listed modules, extra required modules for offshore, dredging and workboat applications can be designed and manufactured. Adjustable height When it comes to ergonomic design of work- stations, regulations need to be followed. The ALPHABRIDGE concept holds a unique facility to adjust the height of the monitors and the work shelf by 18 cm. Standard supplied as a manual setting, but optional by an electrical device. Now, for the first time, navigation and communication equipment can be operated from both a sitting or a standing position without compromise. Common design Unlike other bridge console concepts, the ALPHABRIDGE holds standard operating modules of the same size and design. Easier to watch, safer, a more aesthetic look and ergonomically right. Space saving design By using flat screen technology only, the ALPHABRIDGE is based on the principle that the bridge console solely houses control and display equipment. As an option, the main electronics are installed in various 19 inch cabinets, mounted in a remote location in the wheelhouse or in the void space. All main cabling joins here, so the various signals can be commonly used as an input to all equipment, including the VDR. Thanks to the above obtained space, the forefront of the wheelhouse is limited to the absolute minimum, even enabling access to the windows in front of the bridge console. Engine room automation Hardware is available within the ALPHABRIDGE concept to integrate a yard-supplied engine monitoring system. If required, Alphatron Marine can supply the full engine automation system as an option, by manufacturers Servowatch, Bakker Holland Bimac system, praxis or the small vessel alarm system ALPHAGUARD.
