HOW TO PLAY

PLAYER SELECTIONThis game is only available in single-player mode.

OPTION SELECTIONThe player can choose between 3 options:• Option 1: the python will move with basic speed• Option 2: the python will move with basic speed multiplied by 1.5• Option 3: the python will move as fast as it can

GAME PLAYThis game was developed on borrowing of the classical game “Snake”.

Whenever the python eats an apple, it will grow. With each apple, it will be harder to control the snake. The snake will move to the last direction as long as the player navigate to another direction. Try to avoid running into the outside of the game area and watch out that the python doesn’t eat its own tail.

Whenever your snake reaches the length of 32, your snake will be restored to an length of 4, but the movement speed of your snake will increase.

WHATEVER ELSE IS IMPORTANTWith each apple your scores will increase. So the length of you snake will mean your current score minus the start length and will be aggregated.

HIGH SCORE MEMORY

RESTARTING THE GAME

As long as your machine is on, with the game cartridge in place, the highest score is retained. To see this score, press the Reset button. When the machine is turned off and the cartridge removed, the score is lost.

To restart a completed game with the same number of players and the same game option, press any of the four buttons once the game is over. If you wish to restart the game before it is completed, or change the number of players or the game option, press the Reset button.

CREDITSThis game was developed by Maximilian Schiller and programmed in C and MC6809 assembly language. It is the outcome of a student project which was part of the advanced elective course “Robot Programming” at Pforzheim University, Germany, in spring term 2016, supervised and tutored by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Peer Johannsen.
