The Integration of Supply chain in Port High potential port is depend on how well the
port connecting with the hinterland access and improving the services by integrating and collaborating with partners.
Port is the link to the Global supply Chain.

Port of Blyth which located in UK, estimating that there are only 20% of the arriving containers moves straight out from the port, rest of the container will go into port distribution centre or logistics centre to unpacking, storage, repacking and stacking on the pallet forward to distribution.

The Information Technology in Port Supply Chain
• The supply chain management is recognised as an important area for information technology innovation.
• Information technology integrated is a major challenge for the supply chain in the port.
• For Example: Singapore employs the PORTNET system which is part of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) also has their Computer Integrated Terminal Operations System (CITOS).

The Automation Technology and Equipments in Operating in Port supply Chain
• Terminal Logistics Control (TLC) System can maximize the terminal productivity with optimized real-time planning, job scheduling and dispatching and checks the current containers and equipments in the terminal and send the job for automated yard machines to process the job.
• Kalmar Fleetview Technology, controlling and monitoring straddle carriers, forklift truck, terminal tractors, Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) and straddle carriers in the control room.
• The remote controlled bridge crane for handling the containers.
• Radio Frequency Identification (RFID ).
• Therefore, increasing the speed and safety of moving the containers, reduce the terminal congestion and increasing the port supply chain flexibility and efficiency.

Hanjin New Port Corperation (Cyber Logitec TLC System)
Kalmar’s Fleetview Technology, including a satellite- based GPS and wireless network between the terminal operating system and Fleetview itself. The core of Fleetview is a graphical real-time map operations displayed in the control room.

Conclusion Ports integrated with value added services providers, in order to increase the
efficiency and effective to the customers.
Ports are the essential place for the value added logistics in global supply chain
Port become to the link to the Global Supply Chain.
The efficiency information sharing and technology innovation can drive success in port supply chain.
The automation technology and equipments faster and stable to connect with the logistics providers and transportation providers. Therefore, it increase the efficiency between the port and supply chain partners.
