Inerrancy has to do with TRUTHFULNESS, not precision.

The issue isn’t whether or not it was a direct quote – the issue is TRUTHFULNESS.

Inerrancy is not about perfect grammar, it is about TRUTHFULNESS.

How can the Bible be true when there are errors in it?

Matthew 27:5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

Acts 1:18With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out.

Upon closer study we see that it is not an error or contradiction, but rather even more information regarding the event than we would have had if we only had one person’s point of view.

How can the Bible be completely true and without mistakes if humans wrote it?

God has never spoken falsely in His Word, and even when humans have made mistakes, God made sure that none of the overall message was compromised.

Isn’t it only true when talking about faith and faith practices?

Everything in Scripture is there because God intended it to be!
