ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR B.TECH – I YEAR STUDENTS
Malla Reddy College of Engineering& Technology (MRCET) organized an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted B. Tech-I year students on 2 August 2019. Students along with their Parents and Guardians were warmly welcomed by the Chairman, Ch. Malla Reddy and the Principal, Dr.VSK Reddy. It aimed at making the parents and students aware of the various academic aspects of the course that they have opted, the rules and regulations of the Institute; they also ensured parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students. Around 975 students were present.
The programme was inaugurated by the Chairman, Ch.Malla Reddy after the invocation of Lord Ganapati by lighting the lamp. The visionary Chairman highly motivated the first year students to be “thinkers”. He quoted Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalmam’s famous line i.e., “Think Big, Dream Big and Achieve Big. That is the true success of your life.” The participants got motivated by his own experiences that he had come across in his life during his initial stage.
The Principal, Dr V.S.K. Reddy inspired the students with his optimistic words. He emphasized the importance of the Technical Education and the need of the Technocrats not only for India and also for the entire globe. He suggested the students to be proactive. He also promised that the students will be ensured placements if they are focused to do hard work right from the first day of their classroom session during their student life.
The HEAD of Humanities and Sciences, Dr.V. Madhusudhna Reddy addressed the gathering with Great Spirit and motivational words. Out of his great dedication of hard work and grandeur experience in the field of Academics, he rendered his valuable suggestions to all the participants in general and the B.Tech. I year students in particular for making their future glow. He advised the parents to be more cautious all the times in order to supervise their wards at every phase of their life to ensure their attendance and good academic performance.

Mr. Manash Mishra, as a Life Coach & Peak Performance Coach, has been working to empower individuals for over 9 years now. Over the years he has touched thousands of lives and has left an impeccably positive mark on their souls. He has founded the organization JAMPS (Just About Making People Successful) in order to help people from all walks of life. Mr. Mishra lectures and hosts workshops, nationally and internationally, related to all aspects of life.
On the first day of the induction programme, Mr. Mishra made the students realize how crucial it is to set up goals in one’s life and equipped the students with a wide range of strategies to reach them without losing the balance in life. His speech was not just informative and inspirational but also entertaining. Therefore, Students were enthusiastically observing and absorbing the insights given as they were made to involve in some activities.

“COMMUNICATION SKILLS”
As part of an Induction Programme, Malla Reddy College of Engineering & Technology (MRCET) had organized a guest lecture on “Communication Skills” for the students of newly admitted B.Tech – I Year in the Main Seminar Hall on 3 August 2019. The speaker for the lecture was Dr.M.Vishwanadham, who is presently working with “IMPACT” being organized by Sri.Gampa Nageshwar Rao, a well-known motivational speaker. The objective of conducting the session is particularly to motivate the students with value orientation to BECOME BETTER CITIZENS.
Earlier, Dr.M.Vishwanadham had worked as a Professor in the Department of Commerce and Business Management, Osmania University, had rich academic experience for 35 years at various levels of UG & PG in Osmania University, Hyderabad. He held several highest order of academic and an administrative positions to his credit during his long saga career in Osmania University, Hyderabad. After his retirement, he started his second career particularly to motivate
the people and students. He conducted numerous lecturers, authored many books on Personality Development.
During his lecture, Dr.M.Vishwanadham started some brain storming sessions to all the participants to realize the importance of imparting “Communication Skills” just not for only four years, but also for their entire life. Besides, he also advised the student to incorporate certain skills such as Motivation, Personality Development, Stress Management and Effective Leadership Qualities to face any challenges that they would experience in the future.
At the end of the session, he distributed books to all the participants.
Dr.V.Madhusudhana Reddy, Head, Department of H & S had presented over there and shared his suggestions on Communication Skills to the newly admitted students.
GUEST LECTURE BY Dr.B.V.PATTABHIRAM on
“UNIVERSAL HUMAN VALUES”
Malla Reddy College of Engineering College (MRCET) organized a thought provoking Guest Lecture by Dr.B.V.Pattabhi Ram with 950 newly admitted B.Tech-I year students. Dr. B.V. Pattabhi Ram is a famous Psychologist with over 30 years experience in delivering success to individuals and organizations, and a Magician of extraordinary calibre. He is also a personality development trainer and motivational speaker. Authored numerous books on various topics pertaining to Motivation, Self-confidence, Mind Power, Values and Ethics to empower the youth.
He received numerous awards in India and abroad such as UGADI Puraskars, Kalaratna HAMSA award, JADURATNA title, Honorary Citizenship from Mayors of Nashville & New Orleans and more. He was felicitated by Presidents of India - Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma, Sri R. Venkataraman and Dr Abdul Kalam for his outstanding work.
He has transformed many lives. He has been conducting targeted soft skills workshops across India, US, Middle East & APAC regions; and delivers HRD training & personal counseling for students, parents, teachers, corporate-employees, factory-workers and government departments.
During his lecture, he tried to empower the students by using globally-proven techniques coupled with his own
approach of counseling. He used the handouts consist of critical puzzles and self-analysis tests to gaze the mental strength of the students. He stressed the need to incorporate Universal Human Values for every student in the present society to over the stress and strain. Through his magic, he enthralled the targeted people like students to get motivation towards their goals.
Students took an active participation in the activities that he conducted during the programme and realized the need to learn values and ethics in their life.
The Head, Department of H & S, Dr.V.Madhusudhana Reddy had graced the session to be taken an active participation by everyone.
AN INSPIRING TALK ON “POSITIVE MINDSET”
The programme was organized on 05th August 2019 under the great visionary, the Principal Dr.V.S.K. Reddy and the prominent Head of H&S Department Dr. V. Madhusudhana Reddy. The much-admired motivational speaker Mr. Yandamoori Veerendranath was received with great enthusiasm by the students, faculty members and the management of M.R.C.E.T.
He employed his wit and mesmerized the audience greatly. He asked the students to be more positive minded and set their goals seriously. The speaker suggested the students to have a pleasant mindset to achieve greater goals in life. He enlightened the students about the concept of hard work by quoting an example from the Bhagvath Gita.
The Principal, Dr V.S.K. Reddy felicitated the guest with a memento.
Department Visit by B.Tech-I Year students
During the Induction Programme, all the newly admitted B.Tech – I Year students visited their respective departments such as E.C.E., C.S.E., M.E., I.T., and A.E. ON 7 Aug. 2019 to observe the facts of their respective departments. Students were welcomed by the visionary, Dr.V.S.K.Reddy, Principal, MRCET along with Dr.V.Madhusudhana Reddy, Head, Department of Humanities & Sciences. Through this visit, students observed their place of learning (Class Room), Laboratories, the process of attendance, the system of discipline and the other academic oriented activities, briefed by the faculty of concerned of the respective department in the college.
