The International Seniors Team Championship
The Puerto Rico Senior Golf League, Inc. is a non for profit corporation, organized under the laws of Puerto Rico.
The League was founded in 1998 with the objective of promoting golf for the seniors and the general population in the Island.
The League organizes over 30 tournaments every year for its members.

In addition we run an Interclub Match Play competition that includes eleven of the golf clubs in the Island.
From the original 59 Founding Members we have grown to over 1,200 members in all Puerto Rico.
The League is affiliated to the Puerto Rico Golf Association, the governing body of golf in the Island.

During the Puerto Rico Open celebrated last year, the League provided 62 volunteers to the PGA.
In 2009 we will continue our support to the Puerto Rico Open with additional volunteers.
In 2004, during the International Golf Federation World Amateur Golf Team Championship (WAGC) we provided 55 volunteers to the IGF.

With a population of 194,636, Ponce is Puerto Rico's second largest city (San Juan is the first and Mayaguez is the third). Ponce is known as "La Perla del Sur" (Pearl of the South) and "La Ciudad de los Leones" (City of Lions). Ponce was founded in 1692 by Juan Ponce de León's great-grandson, Loíza Ponce de León.
