RULES & REGS CORNER GROUNDS CORNER

Rules & Regs Committee The Facilitators

It's not surprising that folks get confused about rules governing minimum rental periods in Sarasota County. They can vary by city limit, proximity to coast, condo or single family etc. Also most

private communities have their own set of limits. However, there is nothing confusing about the rules for leasing in The Isles. It's all there under Article IX, Section 5, page 52 of the

association documents. In Summary: The entire home must be rented. There is a minimum rental period of four consecutive months. All leases should be submitted to the Association not less than 20

days prior to the effective date. The homeowner is liable with their tenant for any claims or prop-

erty damage. The proliferation of such websites as AirBnb, VRBO, etc. may encourage more residents to offer their home for rent. That is their prerogative, but they must abide by the four month minimum

as well the other rules. It is important to the stability of The Isles that we maintain mini-

mum standards for rentals. We anticipate and appreciate your usual cooperation. Next meeting: Jan 16th @ 9:00 in the Town Center All are welcome. Robert Brosnan-Chairman

Grounds Committee The Green Thumbs

GARDEN CORNER

Updates from BrightView January 2018 The New Year is right around the corner, and with it are the cooler daytime temperatures and nights. The cooler tem-peratures have certainly slowed the growth of turf and plant material. We will continue to be diligent in providing the qual-

ity work needed to keep the neighborhood looking its best. The turf will continue to be monitored for insects, but it is less likely to show signs because of the lack of stress from reduced temperatures. With the reduced rainfall, irrigation will be checking for hotspots and assuring these areas are

fixed. The cooler temperatures will bring an increased possibility for some turf related fungus which we will be keeping a very

close eye on for you. Mowing will be an alternating weekly service and will include all the usual suspects, mowing, blowing, weed whip and hard surface edging. The only difference soft edging will be done

once per month. The detail crews will remain hard at work to keep your shrubs beautiful for the season. Keep in mind that if ornamen-tal lights are added to shrubs, that they will be skipped until

they are removed. Finally I want to wish all of you a very Happy Holiday Season! BrightView appreciates your loyalty and commits to creating a

beautiful place to live. Matt Sievert Account Manager

Calling All Ping Pong Enthusiasts

With our new Ping Pong table ready to and some nice paddles, too, we’d like to encourage players to come to the Gazebo Circle every Sunday afternoon

at 3pm for play. We’ll enjoy watching each other

play and rotate players as each game is completed. Bring your chair, drinks, and snacks if you desire, and socialize with neighbors as we increase our skills in playing ping pong. Gather your friends and enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon. If you have any questions, please contact Isabelle Paris, email:

The Isles Bicycle Club would like to give a big THANK YOU to all the residents who contributed to our 2017 Toys for Tots toy drive. We filled three SUVs

with the largest number of toys we have ever donated. We met our Marine contact at Captain Eddy's restaurant on December 14 and transferred the toys to his truck. He

was most thankful for the donation. Thank you again for your continued support of our annual

collection. The Isles Bicycle Club-Jim Corso
