Soil Judging Success  Recently the John Glenn FFA Soil Judging Team competed at the area contest in Elkhart. We had four members qualify to compete at the state contest. October 17th, they traveled to Columbus, Indiana to compete with kids from all over the state. John Glenn came home with a ninth place finish and special honors to Jessica Peterson, with an individual placing of ninth overall. Congratulations to Faith Wright, Aubrey Bennett, Jessica Peterson, and Jason Gill for their success!

Quarter Horse Congress This past May, the Marshall County Horse Judging Teams competed at the Indiana State Horse Judging Contest. The Senior Team consisting of Hannah McLochlin, Faith Wright, Aubrey Bennett and Haley Kaiser were named the State Champion 4-H Team. In addition they won the Champion Oral Reasons Team of the contest. Several individual honors were earned. The team then competed at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio. Earning tenth place overall, Indiana was well represented by these successful young ladies.

FFA Homecoming  Bailee Cook and Bobby Wise were nominated by the chapter to represent us during the football homecoming. They had the chance to proudly support the John Glenn FFA Chapter and everything we stand for!

Falloween Summary  The 2015 Falloween Festival was all around a huge success. We had an abundance of members come out and volunteer. Our milk shake and meat stick sales were outstanding, as were our fall mums. On Sunday the chapter hosted a kiddie tractor pull, and petting zoo. Congratulations to first place pullers; Akel Raven, Amber Brems, and Aaron Bradbelt. Also to our second place pullers; Mike Cuthbert, Naomi Bowen, and Kassandra. The kiddie tractor pull had a great turnout at around 50 kids registered! The kids, as well as adults, enjoyed the petting zoo all day Sunday. A big thank you to Chazney Keller for organizing this amazing petting zoo.
