Hello all,

Firstly I would just like to say what a positive time I had looking after the info stall onSaturday morning at our shop in Riverside Plaza. 5 generous locals gave donations to PolioPlus, and this came to a grand total of $46.25. Not to mention that I spoke with another 2 or3 people who were interested in what we do for the community. The ladies in the shop werealso happy because they had a great day of sales (over $140 which is great for a Saturday). Iam still looking for volunteers to look after this for 3 hrs on Saturday mornings. If you canhelp please let me know as I am working on a roster.

Also Entertainment Book sales are going very well please remind your friends and family.

The Canada Day Fun Run volunteer committee are proud to invite you to joinus for our annual run/walk for cancer research. All the money raised at thisfamily event goes directly to the Cancer Council ACT, to fund research,education and support services in the ACT region.

Event details are as follows: Date: Sunday 30 June 2013Time: 10.00am Location: Stromlo Running Track Stromlo Forest Park, Uriarra RoadRegistration: $20 for an Adult, $10 for a Child or $50 for a Family (2 Adults &2 Children) Registrations on the day from 8.00am, however depending on numbers lateentries may not be timed and therefore ineligible to be considered for prizes.

This year we are implementing a brand new online registration process,making it easier, more user friendly and personalised with your ownfundraising page!

In the regsitration process you'll be able to create an account with your ownusername and password, which will allow you to send the link to your personalfundraising page to your family, friends and colleagues letting them know

about your participation in the Fun Run and also asking them to sponsor you.You can personalise your fundraising page with text, photos and videos totruly make it your own!

As in previous years the Lions Club of Belconnen will provide all participantswith a delicious, free pancake breakfast with genuine Canadian maple syrupand there will be plenty of fresh fruit, tea and coffee on hand.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

It takes hundreds of volunteers to make the MS Walk and Fun Run asuccess. Volunteer your time on Sunday 2 June or before and help usraise $1.1 million to support Australians living with multiple sclerosis. Allvolunteers will receive meals/snacks and a volunteer T-shirt. And of course, you'll have a whole lot of FUN! Share this post with your friendsand head to www.mswalk.org.au to apply.

Canberra: We need volunteer crew to help us set up for the event onSaturday June 1 and to pack everything down on Sunday afternoon. Youcan volunteer for these positions and still participate in the walk or run.

Flex those muscles and support a great cause!
