This book is about a boy, Todd, who lives in a world of only men. They are all infected with “the noise germ” which allows everyone to hear each others thoughts and it also killed all women. He meets a girl who doesn’t have the germ and with his dog, who also has the germ, at his side he flees from his town and goes on a journey.
