Ulm’s Ghotic Churh

Situated in the west coast of Augsburg and worth a look is the city of Ulm, which features a Gothic church with one of the tallest spires in the world (525 ft/160 m) - the view from the top is worth the exhausting climb. Some of the medieval city have walls remained, and there is a nice town hall with an astronomical clock .

Baden - Baden

This is the Black Forest's (and perhaps Germany's) most famous and luxurious park. It has many fine Old World-style hotels where visitors sometimes spend weeks relaxing in the town's famed mineral waters. (Some of the thermal springs have water temperatures of up to 68 C)

Bamberg Bamberg was founded in the

2nd century. The Roman Emperor Heinrich II built here his imperial cathedral . The cathedral is a striking mix of Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles, and houses a number of graceful sculptures . Bamberg also has one of the quirkiest town halls - its Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) sits in the middle of a bridge. One of the world's odder museums is also in town - the Museum of Two-Headed Animals.

Berchtesgaden Berchtesgaden was home

to Hitler's Eagle's Nest retreat - not much of the building remains, just a few basement walls are left standing. The scenery is the main draw: The narrow road winds ever higher toward the top of Kehlstein mountain. Just below is the fjord-like Konigsee, one of the most spectacular Alpine lakes in the region. Still it must have been a pearl

Lake Constance

• Germany's largest lake, which is also bordered by Switzerland and Austria. It's an old-fashioned resort area, with one of the warmest summer microclimates in the country. It's also a big fruit-growing region. There are several resort towns along the northern shore of the lake, which are connected by road and ferry.

Bonn

This is the city where Beethoven was born (the Beethoven Haus is in Bonngasse) and a opera house. Sudstadt, a nice quarter built in the Grunderzeit (late 1800s), is also worth to have a quick peak. Other sights include the Poppelsdorfer Schloss, Bonn University (housed in a palace) and the Bundeshaus (former seat of the German parliament). The Kunst und

Aachen, It gained glory as the capital of Charlemagne's empire. From 936 to 1531, it served as the coronation city for Holy Roman emperors, many of whom are painted on the facade of the Town Hall. The most impressive sight is the Aachener Dom, a beautiful cathedral - a rich treasury

Set among lovely tree-covered hills along the Neckar River, Heidelberg is one of Germany's most romantic cities, Renaissance and baroque styles. It has towers, turrets, a courtyard and gardens. In the internet someone said to notice how the stone changes colors depending on the angle of the sun.
