Verse 2A delegate to the First and Second Continental Congresses,A diplomat in France and Holland during the Revolutionary War,A minister to the Court of St. James [1785-1788],A vice pres under our George Washington.Defending the British soldiers in the Boston Massacre,Drafter of the Declaration of Independence,Establishing the Treaty of Paris,Fighting in a campaign against Thomas JeffersonHe was fond of strong government,He received more votes than Jefferson,Who knew that this small eventWould make him president!
