I have really loved the cool breeze and the fresh crisp air. I think fall is probably one of my favorite seasons. It just seems like everyone is in a better mood and happy during this time of the year. Everywhere you go people are more energetic, and seem to be getting out and enjoying life more. I also know it is a great blessing to a lot of our family who are unable to get out much due to their health. What a great blessing it is to just be able to open the windows and get some fresh air, or to go out and sit on the porch. All these things remind me of what a truly blessed people we are. God has certainly shown his love for us all by creating us and blessing us with the wonders of this earth, which He also created. As the Psalmist once said, “Praise be to God, for His works are truly marvelous!” This week has been another great encouragement in the fact that our sister Retha was able to get out of ICU and has actually now gone home from the hospital. Although she is doing better, let’s all keep her in prayer that she might have a quick and full recovery. We also want to continue to remember Clista Krebs as she continues to recover from her surgery. So far she is doing well and we are thankful to God for this. We certainly want to remember others who are struggling with health issues. Brother Tom Long will head to Texas next Sunday afternoon for more tests. Let’s all pray for even more positive results from the chemo. Also, let’s remember brother Dave Guiheen. He sees another doctor this week, but his health continues to decline. Let’s remember him and Becky in prayer and encourage them in every way we can, as they deal with this difficult time. I certainly don’t mean to leave anyone out, but these are the more urgent updates and prayer needs of this week. I encourage us always to get a prayer list and remember all those who need to be remember before the Mighty Throne Of God! Keep in mind that we are only about 3 weeks away from our Fall Gospel Meeting. I know everyone will do their best to be a part and to take part in the this time of growth in the teachings of Christ. Also, remember that this coming Sunday is a 5 th Sunday, so we will be having a potluck and special contribution. I hope we can all give extra to help make up for some budget shortfalls for this year. I look forward to seeing you this Lord’s Day. Until then, put God first in all things and you will always be blessed! *Ray Sullins*
