The Mc Kinney's Halima & Jeff Mc Kinney's Web Page This is my wife, Halima, and I on 27 February 2005 in Chignik Lagoon, Alaska. We had just watched some late shows on Television, and we were laughing about some silliness that we had enjoyed. I am holding the cam-corder, and taking still pictures. Also, there was a very beautiful moon that early morning that I took pictures of. To the right is a picture taken in early 1926. It was taken in Memphis, Tennessee, by my grandfather, Jeff Mc Kinney (I never met my dad's father, as he died in 1949, and I was born in 1954). That is his shadow, and my grandmother, Blanche, who I knew, and loved very well, is holding my dad (Jeff Sr.) Below is a picture of my wife in 2003, in Sharjah, UAE on Al Wahda street, (we were married on 17 July 2003, one hundred years to the exact day of my grandmother Blanche's birth). She is here with me now (24Sept05), and reminds me to say 'hi' to Michael (Kutbidin), Murad, Malika, and our mother in Tajikistan, Firuz, our son (who took that picture after I left UAE), and his lovely wife, Malika, and our daughter Farangis. Also a picture of our apartment (foreground, and school in Chignik Lagoon). Stay in My Corner I've Got Love for my Baby Melinda, circa 1968 Dream Come True 24SeptHal-Jeff 21 December 2005 Fort Yukon, Alaska Merry Christmas to all! Any one who links onto this web page at: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~jlmckinn/24SeptHal-Jeff. html might be able to link on to some of my music. I am still new at all this but I love music, and the '60s was a good time for me and my songs. I will try to add to this from time to time. Halima and I saw the Dells in Brooklyn this past summer. They told the crowd to remember this night. That we will never hear this again after they are gone. I will start with some Stay in My Corner (1968). In 1968 the Young Hearts of Los Angeles made "I've got Love for My Baby." I'd like to be able to link you up with Bobby Taylor and the Vancouver's "Melinda" (1968). I can't right now although I can listen to it on the internet. My favorite from the 60's of course, were Detroit's own Temptations. I have "Dream Come True" ready for any listeners! Enjoy! (...and I love you, better than anyone before..) file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Jeff%20L.%20Mc%20Kinney%20Jr/My%2...ments/Personal/WebPages/22Sept05/New%20&%20Improved/24SeptHal-Jeff.html (1 of 6)12/27/2005 11:10:29 AM

-Halima and Jeff-

Here is my wife's picture on the Brooklyn Bridge,

on 18 July 2004, 17 days after my she was allowed to come to America. Lower Manhattan in background. She said to me that she would like to someday live in Brooklyn, so that she could walk to Manhattan. Summer of 2005, we lived in Brooklyn.

The Mc Kinney's

25 December 2005 Fort Yukon, Alaska.

We are here in Fort Yukon, enjoying our second Alaska Christmas together. Above is a picture that Halima took of me on the Brooklyn Bridge in 2004. To the right is a picture that I took of her a couple of hours earlier on a ferry taking us to Liberty Island, and Ellis Island in New York Harbor. These two pictures were taken on 18 July, 2004.

If you can not see this web page and all of the pictures, click on to 24Sept05Hal-Jeff which is just under Dream Come True, which is just under the block with my Grandmother holding dad. That link will take you to a file that replicates this webpage (c'est va?). Hmm!? In other words, two blocks straight up click on to: 24Sep05Hal-Jeff for a pdf of this web page. It takes a minute or so to

upload! ;-) Love, -Jay-

This picture was taken by me of my wife, Halima in Sitka, Alaska. It was taken somewhere around the 13th of August, 2004. To the right is a picture taken the same morning (early Sunday on 27 February 2005) as the very top picture of Halima and me. That is Jupiter to the left of the moon.

Halima and me in Manhattan on the day after our 1st anniversary (18 July 2004). To the right is later that day on the Brooklyn Bridge. That silly blue tag on my chest, is from a visit that we took to the Museum of Natural History (or something like that) that we visited on w79 at Central Park. We visited after this picture, and before some of the others from that day, and I forgot to remove it!

This is my first cousin Sybil Griffin. Aunt Elease and mom are in the picture to the right. They are the 3rd and 4th born of the five girls that mom's parents had. Below to the right is Cousin Louise, Kit (Aunt Elease' son, my closest relative in age), and my mom.

This is Sybil's mom, our aunt Bay. I last saw her forty years ago to this exact day. We had Christmas of '65 at our new house on London Street in Detroit. Aunt Bay was there, as was most of us (dad, mom, Jill, Joel, Kim &Kit, Ga-ga, Billy, Tony, Keith, and our new born Kelly, Bunny, Leon, I believe that the Bookers were over that day. Uncle Sam and Sybil were over, also. She got sick 13 days later, and we lost her on 14 January 1966.

Here is a picture of Aunt bay in the late '20s early 1930's. She is with Uncle Richard (+1935), and either Uncle Tom or my grandfather (her dad). I used to confuse Uncle Tom for my grandfather even when I was a kid, they resembled each other so much facially. We lost grandfather in 1982.
