A Heart for the Family. “And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children” (Luke 1:17). It is interesting that of all the moral implications of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the one that stands out the most is for the father to care deeply for his children. There is no greater joy for a father than to see his children come to know Jesus and for them to grow up walking with Him. A Heart for the Family (continued from page 1)

It was so precious to see James Reid baptize his own son, J.D. Easter Sunday, and to hear how J.D. came to know Christ. One of the joys I have as a pastor is

to see many of our men, and their wives, leading their fami-lies in their walk with Christ. And several of our single moms valiantly raising their children up to know and walk with Jesus. Not a Program. Many of you prayed for at least three of your

family and friends who do not know Christ and invited them to our Easter service. I want to encourage you to continue to pray for them and continue to invite them to our services and other opportunities for them to hear God's Word.

You and I get to be conduits of God's love and mercy as we reach out to them. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season

we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have oppor-tunity, let us do good to every-one, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:9, 10)

Let us also pray for each other, so that whenever we open our

mouths, words may be given to us so that we may fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:19). Excitedly looking forward to be back in the pulpit soon.
