Let’s talk

PFD Giving Fall is traditionally a time of harvest and abundance. Here in Alaska, fall is a time to settle in to the steady rhythm of life and put to rest the frenzy of summer sunshine, travel, and visitors. We feel the waning day length, look to the mountains for termination dust and sense the approach of winter. This stirs us to stock up the pantry, start to think of the holidays to come, treat ourselves to one last round of summer sales and think of what we want to get to help us make it through the winter. Buoyed by the PFD, these things are possible. As you make your list of what you want to ready for winter, I hope it includes Anchor Park. This fall we provide opportunities in abundance—Sunday school, Bible study, Potlucks, a pie auction, a holiday bizarre, special services. As you add to your closet, your garage or your kitchen that new thing to help brighten winter, I hope you remember to add to Anchor Park to help us all get through together. Our church, our parsonage, our mission work, our conference, our com-munity and the organizations and causes we care about continue. Join us in contributing to the abundance we feel at Anchor Park. Share a slice of your PFD and partake of the fellowship we have together. See you in the pews. - Rachel Morse, Finance Chair
