The Nessie Ambassador’sTrip Report

Or…how to survive the Loch Ness Monster

BACKGROUND:

- My name is Jose Andres Hernandez Godoy

- I was born in Mexico 10 years ago

- My dad is Javier Hernandez Petriz, my mom is Laura Godoy and my sister is Ana Paula Hernandez Godoy

- Besides Mexico, we lived in Venezuela for nearly 3 year, when I was 4 years old

- We’ve been living in the US (Chesapeake) for 2 years already

- I have been interested in Nessie since I was about 4 and it was great to be named the Nessie Ambassador!!!

- Now that we are Honorary Members of the Scottish Community, we are thinking about changing our name and found the:

CLAN MACHERNAN

TRIP REPORT:

- All started when the Make a Wish Foundation asked me about my wish…with no doubt I said I wanted to go to Scotland and hunt for Nessie…

- We had a great send-off celebration where we met for the first time, people from the Scottish Society and the Police Drums and Pipes band…that day was fantastic!!!

TRIP REPORT (cont’d):

- We went to Scotland for 8 days and visited: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Fort Augustus and obviously…the Loch Ness .

TRIP REPORT (cont’d):

- We took a couple of tours in the Loch and I am positive I saw something moving in the water…I truly believe that Nessie exists!!!

- The captains let us conduct the boats and we could monitor the radars.

TRIP REPORT (cont’d):

- We visited Urquhart Castle, the Caledonian Canal and the Loch Ness Exhibition Center… I did not like when they said that all the evidence of Nessie is false!

TRIP REPORT (cont’d):

- We went to the Cawdor Castle with its beautiful gardens, to the Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh and the tomb of the people from the Culloden battle.

TRIP REPORT (cont’d):

- We visited a bagpipe factory and tried to play the pipe…it is so hard... We got some rocks from the Loch and played Pooh sticks in the river…that was fun!

TRIP REPORT (cont’d):

- I tried haggis and really like it!

- We visited other cool places and met very nice people.

- The trip was very exhausting but I enjoyed it very much!!!

Mission Accomplished

Thank you all for making my wishCOME TRUE!!!
