Surprising Results: V 6 – 7.

Jesus is naturally supernatural. He shows He is Lord of creation. He is an abundant God. “In the rush, something profound

dawns on Peter. What has taken place is no accident; only an agent of God could have produced such a catch in the middle of the day” (Bock).

A Humble Confession: V 8 – 9.

Peter is overwhelmed by the holiness and presence of Jesus.

He becomes acutely aware of his own sinfulness, and asks Jesus to depart from him, because of his human frailty.

‘Peters confession becomes his resume for service’. Bock.
