President Fred explained that the $1500 donation made by PP Rosemary Do-mecki was in honor and memory of George Keeling. PP Rosemary designated it to be divided and used so that four RCPC members could become Frank Monroe Fellows for only half of the usual donation of $750. PP Ley Waggoner recapped some of the successes of the three previous Dentistrys with a Heart. He said that volunteers were especially need-ed at HP Methodist Church.

President Fred reported that Tim Millis had given him an NFL commemorative coin, which will be raffled off to raise money for the RCPC Foundation. Tickets are $5 apiece; the drawing will be on February 15. He also an-nounced a special program on the evening of March 7, which will replace the regular meet-ing on March 8. Spouses and guests are in-vited. There will be a happy hour at 6:00pm, and the meeting will begin at 7:00pm.

cy, but it is failing dismally. In Egypt, Libya, and other coun-tries, the disenfranchised and the young people have over-thrown dictators who have ruled for decades. However, the dictators brought stability

to the countries. In all of these countries the one dominant political entity is the Muslim Brotherhood. They are not democratic, but oppose anything Western and anything that is not traditionally Islamic. It is based on ex-treme Wahhabi Islamic beliefs. Prior to World War I, there were no states in the Middle East; there were areas under the governance, but they were ruled by their own ethnic tribes. After WWI the Middle East was divided into states arbitrarily, including groups who histor-ically had not gotten along. In Syria the rebel-lion is not against a cruel dictator; instead it is ethnic sectarian civil war. The rebels have no central command. Tartus on the coast is a major Russian naval base, the only warm water base they have. The rebels are being helped by fighters from other countries sup-ported by the Muslim Brotherhood. Last month Egypt became Sharia compliant. Mohamed Morsi is a member, but not the leader, of the Muslim Brotherhood. They are also behind the take over of Mali, which the French are op-posing. The goal of the Muslim Brotherhood is to create one world under Islam, the Ummah, which does not recognize nations.

THOUGHTS ON . . .

Walking is manʼs best medicine. As to diseases make a habit of two things – to help, or at least, to do no harm.Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportu-nity.Everyone has a doctor in him; we just have to help it in its work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets know-ledge, the latter ignorance. To do nothing is sometimes a good remedy.

HE PROFITS MOST WHO LAUGHS BESTWith Apologies to Blondes

A blonde's dog goes missing and he is frantic. His wife says "Why don't you put an ad in the paper?" He does, but two weeks later the dog is still missing. "What did you put in the paper?" his wife asks. "Here boy!" "Here boy!" he replies.

An Italian tourist asks a blonde, "Why do Scuba divers always fall backwards off their boats?" To which the blonde replies: "If they fell forward, they'd still be in the boat."
