There’s the powerful, yet efficient 2.8-litre, GD-6 turbodiesel engine giving you 130 kW@ 3400 r/min across both the Double Cab and Xtra Cab ranges. Or you can choose the high-performance 4-litre V6 petrol engine that produces 175kW @ 5200 r/min in the Double Cab. The Hilux Dakar Limited Edition also has all the torque you need with up to 450Nm@1600-2400 r/min, depending on which model you drive away with.

Performance is underpinned by suspension that lets you push the limits, an ultra-durable ladder-frame chassis, and all the features to power through any conditions: Hill-Assist Control, Traction Control*, Trailer-Sway Control, Differential Lock, Vehicle-Stability Control and, in the 4x4 models, Downhill-Assist Control* and Active Traction Control*. Both the 6-speed auto and manual transmissions unleash undeniable torque in situations where acceleration, power and speed are crucial. With a choice between 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains, you’re always in control.

THE NEW FACE OF TOUGHThis is what tough looks like. We’re talking a whole new face. The newly redesigned front bumper and grille are finished in gloss black and grey. And there’s no compromise to the class-leading ground clearance, approach, departure or breakover angles for extreme off-roading situations. Outside, the black theme is carried throughout with complimentary gloss black door handles and side mirrors. The Hilux Dakar Limited Edition has LED headlights, LED front fog lamps and LED brake lights, Daytime Running Lights and 18” alloy wheels.
