† In order to become the new LHTBM Religious Order, in March andApril 2003, during Lent, we visited and presented The Mission to the

Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, and had meetings with Bishops and

Priests from The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and

Societies of Apostolic Life, and The Pontifical Council for the Laity.

Following the instructions of the Congregation, we are in the process

of fulfilling all the necessary requirements in order to submit them

to the Holy See.

“Approving new forms of consecrated life is reserved to the

Apostolic See alone. Diocesan bishops, however, should strive to

discern new gifts of consecrated life granted to the Church by the

Holy Spirit and they should aid their promoters so that they can

express their proposals as well as possible and protect them with

suitable statutes...” (Canon 605)

† The Chicago and Dubuque Archdioceses have sent Bishops,

Theologians, and Priests to review written material and interview

The LHTBM. Many hundreds of Mission members and Priests within

The Mission, as well as supporting Priests, have testified and

witnessed to them of the conversion of their Hearts, having changed

their lives to live The Holy Contemplative Way of Life by following

Jesus Christ, Which is “The Holy Journey to Heaven”, by learning to

Love God and one another through The LHTBM.

I want to Be a Saint !!!- The School of The SaintsTM -

My Christmas has changed, because I don’treally care about presents. I know that Jesus is mypresent. I know that Jesus is about to come and Heis going to to fill us with His love and grace. I wantmy heart to shine with decorations likevirtues, good deeds, and prayer. My family tries to be a holy family by doinggood deeds, praying, trying to go to church daily, and trying to go on all the reatrets. I have changed in one year by having half anhour of quiet prayer. Also, I pray the Mission prayer, rosary, and Chaplet of Mercy. I understand Scripturemore and don’t play with my fingers during quietprayer and try to think more about Jesus. I am notdistracted when I have quiet prayer. The Mission tought me this!!! God Bless You!Kasia P. / 12/12/04 / age 9 / grade 4th

God’s blessings to you in this beautiful and Holy Season of Advent. It is atime for focusing on preparing our hearts more fully for Christ’s Coming. I asked

the students of the School of the Saints to reflect about: what it means to be aHoly family, how they were preparing their hearts for Christmas, and to reflect ontheir spiritual growth in the last year. They were given one hour in my presencein the school to write on these questions, and I assure you that these are strictlytheir own writings. Only Evita asked for an extra 30 minutes.

I myself find it hard to believe the conversion of their hearts to becomeHolier every day throughout the year. As a 30 years Catholic school teacher andas principal of The School of The Saints, I would like to share the clear and pure, straightforward writings of the children. Count it all blessing as you read theirreflections and may you and your families be especially blest this Christmas and

always.Sister Betty

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are the holy family. To be a holyfamily is to do God’s Holy Will. I do this by not being angry towardsmy brother. I don’t always hit my brother back when he hits me. I’m patienttowards my brother and my sister. By being obedient to God through my parentsand teachers, I can help my family be a holy family. Also, by praying, respecting, honoring God, helping, sharing, and doing good deeds, I can help my family beholy. By loving God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and loving ourneighbor as ourselves, we can be members of a holy family. Holy Family – prayfor us!Christmas is different, since I’ve been in the Mission. The Mission shows me

how to be prepared, that’s whythere’s Advent. The Missionshowed me that Christmas isn’tabout singing Christmas songsand getting presents. It is aboutJesus coming to your heart.Jesus coming to your heart is thebiggest present! That doesn’tmean that getting presents iswrong, but they can’t be #1 inyour heart.Yes, I changed in the last year.My prayer is better. MyObedience is better, my Charity,Poverty, Unity is better. I stillhave to work on SpiritualChastity – only one God. Please,Pray for me! God Bless You!

I want toopen my heart forJesus to come in-side my heart. Jesuswants me to be purifiedand sanctified all the timeduring Advent andChristmas. I want Jesusto speak to my heartthrough sisters, teachers, parents of the Love HolyTrinity Blessed Mission.Jesus is saying to myheart, if you want followMe, deny yourself, takeup your cross and followMe up to the Way of theCross. I want to listenmore to Jesus andteachers at school. I wantto grow in HumbleObedience to God, be-cause He was listening toHis Mother Mary whenHe was 12 years old go-ing to Nazareth. Jesusloves because He died forme and for everybody tohave Salvation throughHim and to be closer toHim in His kingdom whichis the Holy Journey toHeaven and the Way ofthe Cross.

A Holy familyis a family from God. My family teaches me how to be closer toGod. We are reading the Holy Bible every day every night. My familygrows in Holiness and in God’s Holy Love everyday. We are going to Mass everyday. My family corrects me when I amdoing bad everyday of my Life. A holy family is a family that belongs toGod.

I want to change my heart to a better Life. Iwant to change my heart for Jesus. Jesus is the way, thetruth, and the everlasting Life, and whoever goes in God’s Light willhave everlasting Life through Jesus Christ. Saint Paul said, “no longer helives but Jesus Christ lives in Him”.

Amen!! God Bless You All.

To be a holy family is to pray and to help mom anddad, to do quiet prayer, read the Bibleand listen to mom and dad Do good deed and listento GodNot to hit John and to help mom.In the last year I have changed. I listen better, and Iwork better and I pray better.

God’s blessings to all of you thisChristmas Season and throughout theNew Year.I would like to share with you thekindergarten reflections.

I asked our kindergarteners, Klara, age 6,Joanna, age 5 and Paul, age 5, to share,“How are you a Holy family? How do youfind Jesus in your family? How has yourfamily changed this past year?”

The children then told me. I wrote theirexact words on a sheet of paper and theythen printed their sharings. I did not makeany corrections. Jesus has truly touchedthese children’s hearts through The Love

Holy Trinity Blessed Mission.

Scripture (Mark 10:14-15):“Let the little children come to Me; do notstop them; for it is to such as these that

The Kingdom of God belongs. Truly I Tellyou, whoever does not receive TheKingdom of God as a little child will neverenter It.”

God Bless You,

A holy family is united with God. My family is trying to be a holy family. My family is trying to obey the five holy virtues: humble obedience, charity, chastity, poverty, and unity. We do three good deeds everyday.Thats how my family is trying to be a holy family. The time before I was in the Mission in Christmas I was looking for gifts. Then, I said a prayer andsaw it was Jesus’ birthday (a special one) and we are invited. The L. H. T. B. M. is on DiverseyAve. and Sayre. There will be a big green sighn. When my dad first knew about the Mission, Iwent to Mass everyday and went to The School of the Saints. If you have a son or daughter, ifpossible bring to School of Saints please!

Since we are all very different, it is hard for my familyto be Holy in many ways. Many times we disagree onthings, we argue, we want things our way, but at leastwe try to be Holy. Whenever we get intothose small fights or disagreements, wetry to apologize to each other imme-diately and ask for forgiveness, and wepray to Almighty God and beg Him toforgive us. Our family tries to attend Holy Massdaily, and we try to have daily family prayer. Manytimes, I see other families or friends going outsomewhere while our family goes to church to adoreJesus. Of course, we do have family and friends thatwe visit with, but going outisn’t the most important. Weall try to have friends that willlead us to Christ, not awayfrom Him. Our family triesto help each other out. Ifsomeone has a problem, wetalk about it and try to beloving. It’s not always easyto let go of our old ways, but with the help of the HolySpirit, we will able to resistall the temptations of Egypt, which is the world, and runto the Promised Land,Heaven, on the HolyJourney.

Whenever I thought ofChristmas as a child andwhile I was growing up, themain things that came to myhead were things such asdecorating the house, making the Christmas Eve dinnerwith my grandma, and the presents. Of course, I knewthat Christmas was the day that Jesus was to be born, and my family prayed and sang Christmas carols, butI always had thought of Christmas as a time to spendwith family, to eat, sing, and receive and give gifts, etc. I didn’t even think that Christmaswas actually a time when Jesus, the Sonof God, came to this Earth to save us.He came to die on the Cross for us andsave the world – to open up the Gatesof Heaven. If he hadn’t come, I wouldn’tbe who I am today and where I amtoday, walking the Holy Journey. I nowrealize that I shouldn’t be wanting gifts, but rather I should be giving gifts. Godgave us His only Son to save us by dyingfor us, so why shouldn’t we give to ourbrothers and sisters in Christ, especiallythose less fortunate than we are. SinceGod gave such a big gift, I now see that Christmas isa time of giving – not receiving. The only gift that Ishould receive is Christ into my Heart. I have tobecome a perfect manger for Baby Jesus, so that Hecan live in me.Ever since I was a little girl, I always thought that Iwas a perfect little angel. I’d always received

compliments and I never saw many imperfections inmyself. Now, I am beginning to see my sinfulness. What I once didn’t think was a sin, I now realize howbig of a sin it actually is. Whenever I see that I’m doingsomething that is against God or another person, Iimmediately start praying and begging God for mercyon my soul, and I apologize to the person I mistreated,or at least I try to. If I don’t pray quiet prayer daily, Ijust can’t fall asleep that night. I need spiritual foodjust like I need physical food, and when I’m hungry forspiritual food, I have to feed myself with God and HisHoly Word. Whenever I’m in a bad mood or rebellious,or when I just need the help of God, I start praying the

Mission Prayer, andimmediately I calm down. It’s a big comfortto know that atevery time of theday, people fromall over are sayingthat powerfulprayer of unity forthe whole worldand especially theyare praying for allthe intentions ofevery person in theMission who isalso saying thatprayer daily. Evenlast year, I was still stuckin the world. I still hadworldly thoughts andfollowed people – NOTGOD. Now I’m slowlystarting to detach from the

world, with the help of the Holy Spirit. I still do somethings that I did before I was in the LHTBM, and it’sOK, because Everything God gave me is for my use –I just can’t make it my God. I’m realizing thatthe main cause of all my sins is my pride.Ever since I was a little baby, I wasalways very prideful. If I didn’t get myway, I would scream, cry and rebel. Istill have the same pride that I had as achild, and it has to be completelychopped out before I can enter Heaven.I also tend to be very impatient, especially around my family. The onlyway that I can truly be helped is if I givemyself completely to God and leave allmy problems to Jesus. He will take careof them. I know that God is completemercy and He will forgive my sins if Iam truly sorry and deeply repent. I nowsee how thankful I must be to God for sending HisSon to die on the Cross for all my sins, for sending methe Holy Spirit to be with me and guide and protectme, for sending me Guardian Angel to defend me fromall evilness, and for the beautiful biological and spiritualfamily God has given me.

I am going to my church, St. Hyacinth Basilica, to offer the Holy Mass and say a HolyRosary and do quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. After school I am my homework atthe Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission. I am praying for my whole family onEarth and my Heavenly family is praying with me.

I am preparing my own heart for the coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ and our Savior,Reedemer and Healer. I will rejoice saying: Thank you God for my mother and my Earthly dadand for giving his only Son our Lord and our Holy Mother of God.

I am preparing differently for Christmas this year. Not by our action of our mouthwe are holy, but by our hearts we are holy and perfect, and Purifiedand Sanctified through the power of the holy Spirit like Saint Joseph, the husband of Virgin Mary and all the Saints, Martyrs, people ofheaven and earth and the entire Church of God,please pray for us and be with us forever andand ever. Amen.

I will try to be obedient to my parents and I be always tomy own parents and I will repent for disobedience.

My family did not get to the stage of holiness yet, butwe are trying and we really want to be a Holy Family.Lots of people might think that we are a Holy Family, because we pray

a lot and go to church every day. That really does not mean a lot. Tobe Holy you not only have to pray with your lips, but also with your heart. Also, when you are at massyou not only go to mass to make your parents happyor just to sit through mass but you have to live it,and you have to participate in it too. My family triesto do that because we all want to get to heaven. That’s our goal — TO GET TO HEAVEN.

From last year we are preparing differently for Christmas this year thanall the other years. The reason for that is because the Holy Journeycame into our hearts. The Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission taught my family theway to get to heaven, our true home. All these years I myself thought only about presents andmoney. That’s the only thing that mattered to me. I really didn’t care about anything else. But it all changedthis year. I stopped worrying about presents, and I started to worry about my salvation and whose birthdayit really is. It’s Jesus’s birthday not mine, so why should I get the presents, not Jesus. This year I want togive everything up and give God glory. The best gift I could receive is God in my heart and to go to heaven. The best gift to give Jesus is your body and soul and your whole life. This year I also am going to try to stopsinning and start to pray more quiet prayer. That is how I am preparing differently for Christmas this year.

Tom P. 15 12/9/04

This year we are preparing for Christmas muchmore different from last year. This year I didn’treally think about the Christmas tree or thedecorations or the clothes. I’m really tryingto focus only on Jesus and to have a cleanheart. So far, I am trying to be Holy, but I am sometimestempted by the Devil and I disobey. I still have to work onbeing a saint, that’s for sure!

I have changed in the past year because I see that Iam doing more quiet prayer, and we praying more as afamily. I also am doing more good deeds thisyear and with God’s Love.

Did you ever think about all the wonderful things God has created? I think you should, because in this time of Advent I think we can thank God for everything. We can thankGod all the time! Especially for our lives.

I hope we meet in Heaven !!God Bless You!!

To be a holy family is to be obedient to God and love Him with yourwhole heart. To be a holy family is to read God’s word every day, do quietprayer, and practice what God told you. I pray a lot to God and go toMass every day. I learn from other saints how I can become a saint, so Ican go to Heaven. Christmas means to me now that Jesus is coming onearth to save us and to open the gates of Heaven, so we can go to Heaven.Jesus also came on earth to die on the cross for us and for our sins, because He loved us and wants us to be saints. Christmas also means tome that Jesus has to be born in my heart.

I have changed by knowing the Mission and learning how to be asaint by following the holy journey to Heaven. I learned how to be obedientto God and to teachers and how to humbly fulfill God’s commands.

To be a holy familyis to be obedientand do God’s Willnot my will. A holyfamily should loveeverybody on earth. It alsomeans that I can’t grumbleand I should do gooddeeds. If someonehurts me, I will

forgive them and pray for them.Christmas is different now, because we do it for

the glory of God and to clean our hearts. The mostimportant thing is to prepare our hearts for Jesus.

I have changed in one year by reading the bibleand praying more. I’m still working on loving everyoneand not being silly. I’m also working on being obedientand doing good deeds.

“Yet among the mature we do speak Wisdom, though It is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to perish.

But we speak God’s Wisdom, Secret and Hidden, Which God Decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understoodthis; for if they had, they would not have crucified The Lord of Glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor thehuman heart conceived, what God has Prepared for those who Love Him” — these things God has Revealed to us through The Spirit; forThe Spirit searches everything, even The Depths of God. For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit thatis within? So also no one comprehends what is Truly God’s except The Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but

The Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the Gifts Bestowed on us by God. And we speak of these things in words not taughtby human wisdom but Taught by The Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual. Those who are unspiritual do notreceive the Gifts of God’s Spirit, for They are foolishness to them, and they are unable to understand Them because They are spirituallydiscerned. Those who are spiritual discern all things, and they are themselves subject to no one else’s scrutiny.” 1 Cor 2:6-15

“I Gave them Your Word, and the world hated them, because they do notbelong to the world any more than I belong to the world. I do not ask thatYou take them out of the world but that You Keep them from the evil one. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world.Consecrate them in The Truth. Your Word is Truth. As You Sent Me into theworld, so I Sent them into the world. And I Consecrate Myself for them, sothat they also may be Consecrated in Truth.” J 15:26-27

As a coordinator of The LHTBM Family Groups in Chicago and Iowa, I asked if parents of children attending the Meetings of The Love HolyTrinity Blessed Mission could encourage each child to write a reflection about the impact of receiving The Word of God through The MissionMeetings, and how it changed his/her personal, family life, and also their understanding of the Advent season. What is different now in the

child’s preparation for Christmas, and how was it before this time, when they did not participate in the Meetings? The children brought theirown reflections and here are their own words. Anna

Hi ! my name is Olivia J. 9 year old.

How did my family change? My family changethat are doing good stuff together. On Sundaywe pray on the table singing songs and readingthe Bible together. I read the bible everyday anddo quiet prayer for 30 minutes. I have homeworkfrom meetings at the Love Holy Trinity BlessedMission so it incourages me to pray more quietprayer everyday. And it is more easier to say sorrywhen I argue with my brothers or sisters or withmom to say sorry to them and to the God. And Itry to do good things because I know the Godsalways know what am I doing. I know I have tohave love inside my heart to love every personand most God, so I pray for it, and I have hopeJesus will be borned in my heart for Christmasand give me that love.

God Bless you.

To me holy family is a family that goes tochurch and prays as a family at night, becausethen we can grow closer to God. We aremaking the Holy Journey together by helpingeach other with spiritual problems and byhaving quiet prayer. We are preparingdifferent because this year we are going toknow more about why Jesus came. TheHoly Journey is important to mebecause we learn the path toheaven so we go to heavensooner.

Austin S., grade 7

A Holy family isa faith practicing family.

As a family we journey together by prayingtogether and we go to LHTBM meetings

together.

Since becoming members ofLHTBM we celebrate

Christmas with the focus onGod and not on the gifts.

LOVE HOLY TRINITY!!!!!

Holy families are people who have holy loveand share it with others and have a desire

to go to heaven and meet Jesus. Were making this journey together as a

family because if one of us falls away from

the path the family can help us get back on it.

I’ve learned that you shouldn’tprepare for the worldly stuff you getat Christmas but to prepare for the

birth of Christ and we prepare for thebirth of Christ by praying more.

My name is Daniel and I have four sistersand one brother, all younger. I want to share withyou, what helps me when I go every week to theLove Holy Trinity Blessed Mission meeting everyThursday at St. Ferdinand. The changes I see inme is how God changes me in quiet prayer, atfirst my mom had to force me to do quiet prayerbecause I really didn’t think it was worthit just tosit and think about God. But the summer retrithelped me to understand that God changesmy heart by quiet prayer and reading theGods word every day. In my family I seedifferent changes that now we say sorry to Godand each other allways if we argue, and weremore obidient to our parents. Befor we came tothe LHTBM we used to argue alot and stay madeat each other until the other person first sayssorry. Now there is less yelling in the house andnow we solve our problems peacefully. Christmasis coming up and what I learned about Christmasis that its not just about presents and decorations, and getting. Its about celebrating the coming ofJezus, and giving. Now we have the second weekof the Advent, and is to prepare my heart for thecoming of Jezus, Me and my sisters try to dogood deeds on this Advent an this is the way wetry to get ready for Jezus to be born in our hearts.I wish you a Blessed Christmas.

GOD BLESS YOU,Daniel J. age:13

I would like to thank God for all thatHe has given me, especially Christmas andAdvent. Over the years, my family and Ilooked forward to the time of Advent asrejoicing in waiting for the coming of ourLord Jesus Christ, and also Christmas as atime of just giving and sharing, and a wintervacation. My family and I two years ago didnot pray so much during Advent andChristmas time, but now, instead of justgoing about our daily lives during Advent, wepray more, a lot more. This happenedbecause the LHTB Mission taught usabout the true preparation for Jesus’Birth, through the Bible meetings andvarious retreats throughout the year. Wego to Mass every day, not just once a week.We also try to receive the Sacrament ofReconciliation at least three weeks apart, notjust once a month. I now think that Advent isnot only a time for rejoicing, but also a timefor prayer, fasting, adoration of the BlessedSacrament, or, basically, “Making straightthe way for Our Lord!” – (Luke 3:4-6). Myfamily has recognized that, and thanks be toGod for that.

God Bless You All - Charles H. (Karol),age 15

My name is Franiu. Since we have beengoing with my mom to the meetings of LoveHoly Trinity Blessed Mission, we read theHoly Scriptures every day in our house. Weare spending more time every day in prayerand we are attending the Holy Mass moreoften to receive Lord Jesus into our hearts. We would like to grow in God’s Love andsome day meet in heaven. I realized thatprayer is the meeting betweenGod and me. I would like to follow Jesusand be a better person. I would like to beholy. I know that this is a difficult matter, be-cause I have many vices and habits. Godcan however change me and can help me togrow in virtues. I thank God that I can attendthe meetings, read and reflect over the Wordof God.We are celebrating the holyday of Christ-mas in our family with joy. Advent it is thetime for preparing our hearts for coming ofLord Jesus. Through the Mission, I realizedthat Lord Jesus must be born again in myheart and I would like to prepare a cleanheart for Lord Jesus.

Franiu L. age: 10

Not every one who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall

enter The Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does The

Will of My Father Who is in Heaven. On that day many

will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your

Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and do many

mighty works in Your Name?’ And then will I declare to

them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you evildoers.’

“Every one then who hears these Words of Mine

and does Them will Be like a wise man who built his

house upon the rock; and the rain fell, and the floods

came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house,

but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the

rock. And every one who hears these Words of Mine

and does not do them will be like a foolish man who

built his house upon the sand; and the rain fell, and the

floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that

house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.”

And when Jesus Finished these Sayings, the

crowds were astonished at His Teaching, for He Taught

them as One who had authority, and not as their scribes.

I am in the Holy Trinity Mission for morethan three years now. Over those three years I feelthat I have grown in God’s Holy love. Before Iwould always look at the bad things in people andlife. Now, I look at people as God’s children andlook for the good in them. I look at life as God’sgift to me to live the way He wantsme to and to serve Him for Hisglory.

I used to not understand whysome things happened. I still don’tunderstand some of them but Iknow now that everything happensfor a reason because God let ithappen to test me.

Not one day goes by with-out me thinking about God. Nomatter what happens good or bad,I thank Him for it. I learned thatGod is the only one who can trulyhelp me. We are nothing but dirt, and without God watching over us,we would not be able to achieve anything. Even ifI achieve something it’s for God’s glory only. He isthe one who let me achieve it.

Whenever something upsets me and I gopray, I know God is listening to me and will helpme out. I feel so comfortable knowing he is therelistening to my exact word. It gives me the feelingas if Jesus would be sitting by me. I know that noone can help me as much as God can. I know thatI still have a temper, and I am not very patient, butwith prayer, time, and trust in God everything willturn out right.

I know that this mission also changed mymom a lot. She is more of a quiet person and nowconcentrates more on God and praying then theearthly things. She grew in patience because I knowI do a lot of things that upset her, but she is verypatient with me.

Christmas is really soon. I haveheard a lot of times that there is moreto Christmas than presents andmeeting with the family but I neverfully understood what else is there. This is the first year when I amalready feeling different about theupcoming holiday. I am excitedabout seeing the family and openingpresents, but what I am most excitedabout is celebrating the birth of JesusChrist. But not celebrating it as anearthly holiday but in my heart.

I have started the quietprayer not too long ago,and I believe that because

of the quiet prayer I will experienceChristmas differently. The quiet prayer isdifferent than praying using words. Quiet prayergives me the feeling of God’s presence around me.During Christmas I know I will welcome Jesusdifferently. Instead of welcoming Him into my earthhouse I will open the door to my heart. The feelingof God’s presence during quiet prayer and the feel-ing I have about celebrating the birth of Christ is anunexplainable feeling. To know the feeling one hasto experience it on his/her own.

that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does

He Prunes so that it Bears more Fruit. You are al-

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit That is from God, so that wemay understand the things freely Given us by God. And we speak about them not withwords taught by human wisdom, but with Words Taught by The Spirit, describing spiri-tual realities in spiritual terms. Now the natural person does not accept what pertains toThe Spirit of God, for to him It is foolishness, and he cannot understand It, because It isjudged spiritually. The spiritual person, however, can judge everything but is not subjectto judgment by anyone. For “who has known the Mind of The Lord, so as to counselHim?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Cor 2:12-16

A Holy family doesn’t consist of only blood relations.A Holy family is simply a group of people whose main focusin life is to do the Will of God. The Will of God is to getback to Heaven. The only way we can do this is to beperfect and free of the ways of the world, like money, fame, and power. My family and I have grown a lot with the helpof God and the Holy Journey. For the past year or so, wehave family prayer time before we get ready for schooland after everyone is home, everyday. We are also tryingto live a Holy life. We are all trying to be nicer in ourspeech and actions towards each other. We are also tryingto stay away from things that are not of God, like certain,TV shows and books. It seems like whenever Christmascomes up in a conversation my mom always seems to say,“This Christmas is going to be special.” And I agree withher because Christmas this year is focused around Jesus instead of around what presents areunder the tree. It wasn’t until Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission that we realized that. If itwasn’t for LHTBM I don’t think that my family would be as close as it is because wehave realized that the only way to make it through life is to not put faith in peopleonly in God. Theresa C. 18

What is a holy family? A holyfamily is a family that has prayertime and always has God in theiractions and throughout their day.I would not have beenable to do this withoutthe mission. God is the mostpowerfulest thing on earth.

A holy family is a family that treats each other with respectand loves one another with holy love. (ex. Jesus, Mary& Joseph)

We journey together as a family by giving each otherspiritual advice. We help one another grow and we prayfor each other.

Since LHTBM we understand the true meaning ofChristmas and don’t get caught up in the worldlyperspective of Christmas. Everyone used to get sostressed, but-now we don’t put so much focus onpresents. We focus on the true meaning, Christ.

Audrey H.Age: 13

A Holy Family is a family that has a great desire

to go to Heaven. It’s also a family that shares God’s

Holy Love with others. We are making this Holy

Journey as a family by coming together every

morning and night to pray. We also try to go to daily

mass as a family and stay connected to God by sitting

in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

During the Christmas season our family tries to thinkabout the real reason for Christmas. It is about the birthof Jesus and not of the worldly things like presents andshopping.Learning about the Holy Journey and my Catholic faithhas helped me to Love more. I Thank God for the LoveHoly Trinity Blessed Mission.

A holy family is a family that prays alot. Prays beforethey eat. When you go to Reconciliation God washesaway your sins. When you pray, pray with yourheart. God does not want lip service.

The best example of holiness has always been theHoly Family: Mother of God, St. Joseph and LordJesus. I desired to live in such a family filled with Loveand Peace, totally focused toward doing God’s Will.Yet, I couldn’t create such a family. I didn’t knowwhat mistakes I was making in relation to my husbandand children. The Holy Spirit through LHTBM startedto open my eyes. The very first thing I recognized inour family was that both of us, my husband and I,were duplicating our own parents. Whatever webrought out of our own homes, and traditions copiedfrom our friends or created by ourselves – we appliedin our own children. And these were not alwaysbringing us toward God.

Thanks be to God that all of our families belong toLHTBM, and all of us more and more desire Holiness. We don’t draw attention toward each other anymoreas we had done before. Our hearts are seeking Godalone. The consequence is that preparation for theChristmas celebration is totally different than it usedto be. I became more alerted, and I am not allowingsin to take place in our family any longer. The Wordof God, prayer, Holy Sacraments, andadoration of Lord Jesus in the MostBlessed Sacrament – these are rulingover our family now. I am in fear justthinking of offending God, disconne-cting from the greatest Happiness, breaking the thread of grace throughsin. We don’t need a thread but a river of Grace, because without it we fall every step of the way. Whenwe see it, we pray to God louder and louder: God rescue

Being for few years in the LHTBM, I can seemy life. What kind of lifestyle I was livingbefore and where I was going. For the last12 years I’ve been a truck driver andgenerally speaking, I’m not home. Thisabsence is a constant running away fromlife and family duties. I was always like that, and being honest, I felt comfortable with it.In that never-ending run, many times I wasforgetting God and His Love. Yet God in hismercy noticed me. I started attendingLHTBM weekly meetings. My wife, becoming pregnant, helped me to make thisdecision. There was a necessity of switchingfrom long distance truck traveling to localdriving. During these meetings, I heard thatthe Word of God needs not to be understoodby my mind, but my fully opened heart. Aftersome time, I noticed that on the way whileI’m driving, there is a hospital where they

Gradualness and Conversion9. To the injustice originating from sin-which has profoundly penetrated the structures of today’s world-and often hindering the family’s fullrealization of itself and of its fundamental rights, we must all set ourselves in opposition through a conversion of mind and heart, following ChristCrucified by denying our own selfishness: such a conversion cannot fail to have a beneficial and renewing influence even on the structures of society.

What is needed is a continuous, permanent conversion which, while requiring an interior detachment from every evil and an adherence to goodin its fullness, is brought about concretely in steps which lead us ever forward. Thus a dynamic process develops, one which advances graduallywith the progressive integration of the gifts of God and the demands of His definitive and absolute love in the entire personal and social life ofman. Therefore an educational growth process is necessary, in order that individual believers, families and peoples, even civilization itself, bybeginning from what they have already received of the mystery of Christ, may patiently be led forward, arriving at a richer understanding anda fuller integration of this mystery in their lives.

ON THE ROLE OF THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY IN THE MODERN WORLD

Called to Be a Saintby Almighty God our Eternal Father

us! Lord, help! And we rely on the Almighty, not onourselves anymore.

While preparing for Christmas we hope to put up aChristmas tree decorated by the children, if God allows. We hope for a special dinner; so just like last year, however, different. The outside of the Christmascelebration has become so far, like in the fog. The

outside is not the center of attention any longer. Now,by using earthly things, we give glory to God; we don’tserve those things, like slaves would, anymore. It ishappening, because the waiting and the desire areaimed at something else. We are waiting for the birthof Jesus, who out of Love towards us, chose a placein very miserable stable. Out of unlimited Love, Hehumbly did His Father’s Will by dying on the cross.Out of Love for us He opened the gates of HeavenlyKingdom. Emmanuel is among us. I just need to askHim, to invite Him into my heart and clean this heart,so it will be pure and decorated for my Lord.

There is one more very important change. Instead ofpresents for each other, that are covering over thetrue significance of the events of Christmas, all ofus are preparing presents for LordJesus. This is His Birthday, not ours. All of us are trying to do good deeds for Lord Jesus insecret, only for the glory of God. Later, all the childrenare going to put the notes into beautifully decoratedboxes. We are offering to offer these presents to theChild of God during these holy days.

The holiness that I see in the Holy Family, I find in theLHTBM as well. All brothers and sisters are my closestfamily, because they are concerning as much aboutmy salvation as about the salvation of all children ofGod. Getting ready for Christmas, all have the samedesire: to unite with God forever.

God Bless you,Alicja H.

offer Mass in which I may participate. Foryears I was driving this route and had neverseen this. A similar situation was with theAdoration of the Blessed Sacrament. I foundout there is an opportunity to do so quiteclose to me. And in this way a great sinner,as I was, began to get closer to God throughthe LHTBM. Soon after, Ania was born.More responsibilities came, and it lookedlike there was not going to be any time leftfor myself or for the adoration of the BlessedSacrament. The truth is different. Byapplying all the things I heard at themeetings into my life, the conversion began.I started to look at my actions day by day, such as how I was dealing with other people,my wife, and my children. My relationshipwith the children wasn’t good. Drivingthrough the city, I knew well all the shoppingareas that were cheaper. Through

participating in the LHTBM meetings, Iunderstood that I need to change my lifeand especially my attitude toward my wifeand children. I no longer can run away towork and escape from my duties as ahusband, but now I help my wife, and takeand read the Word of God. It is my duty asan earthly father to bring my children to God.God can call me any time but my childrenneed to know where is their true Father. Thanks be to God that He revealed thewisdom of Christ, through the LHTBM, tosomebody like me, who is nothing. In theGospel we can read that a bird will not falldown without God’s permission, that hairare counted on our heads. Now I see howgreat a blessing is each day, each moment,in which I can only be sorry before God thatI am a sinner, I go through life and I sin andI rebel and turn back to God, and God is

allowing me to live to the next Christmas.Being in LHTBM I see thiscoming Christmas in a differentway. Advent is the time ofpreparation of heart. Cleaningall unnecessary lusts, laziness, and business from it. It is a time inwhich each day is a great win in the NewbornJesus. It is joyful waiting time, full of joy, because now I see, that only in Him I haveeternal life, and in His birth and life is mysanctification. From the moment of His birth, the Holy journey to heaven begins andJesus is inviting me to it.This Christmas we decided not to putpresents for children under the Christmastree, in order to not to lose the most importantrelationship with God.I thank Almighty God for the gift of life andfor LHTBM. Another year is passing by – a year of lifegiven by God the Father. Did we use this last yearto change our lives and the lives of our family intothe life of a Holy Family?

The example to follow, for parents andchildren, should be only one – God’s example –the Holy Family from Nazareth. The Mother ofGod – humble and faithful, always leading us toJesus, exhorting us to do everything that her Sonis telling us. Joseph – quiet and hard working, fulfilling well his duties of caretaker, and fulfillingconsciously God’s Will. Also Jesus, the exampleof child, who is obedient to His Parents. Their lifewas simple, but holy above all, and this is the onlyexample for every family to follow. All familymembers, if they will look up to God, and haveHim be the center of their daily life, will reach thegoal and fulfill God’s Will. And God’s Will is oursanctification and our return to the HeavenlyKingdom. It is the example we want and try toimplement in our home. We learn to focus on Godand on the things that please Him. We learn everyday to grow in God’s Love, how to live with Godand for God. We learn how to concentrate onlyon God and on that which pleases Him. This isresulting in a daily spiritual transformation of ourfamily. We help each other and support each otherthrough prayer, hoping that our merciful God willforgive our sins and lead us to eternal happiness.

Yes, God gives us grace and transforms ourhearts. Our lives finally took on the true meaning, the true sense. Now we all know why and whatwe are living for. How wonderful when all of us,parents and children together, can talk about thesame: how do we live each day? Are we gettingcloser to God? Is everything we do for God’s gloryor for our own glory? Are we growing in the HolyVirtues, in God’s Holy Love? What is still holdingus back from following only after Jesus Christ?Asking such questions sets the path for our actions.Holiness is our only goal!

This last year was a time of great changes,it was a time of revolution in our family. Thanksbe to God for this Grace. Thanks be to God forThe Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission in our HolyRoman Catholic Church, through which the Lordshowed our whole family what is most important– our turning to Heaven. This is the goal of ourfamily’s daily journey during which we want to bepurified, and sanctified by God’s Power and Grace, that all of us use well the time given to our familyon this earth, and all of us reach eternal life. Amen.Let it be! What else would a mother’s heart wantfor her husband and children – only salvation. Whatwould a husband desire more for his family – onlyholiness. And how wonderful would it be if we allget to the Home of the Lord, our Father – you, dear sister, and you, dear brother, with your wholefamily.

The Way to Heaven, the Wayof Holiness is certainly not beyondone’s range. It is the Way of theCross – the Way of Jesus Christ, and it is given for each of us! This Wayis simple, if we follow Jesus. Neither mom nordad can be the model for children. Our duty asparents is unceasingly pointing to Jesus Christ asthe only and perfect model to imitate. For whatkind of example can any of us parents be, sincelike all others, we fall down and sin.

Again, in newness, yet so much deeper, wehave heard that we are CHILDREN OF GOD.Walking on The WAY to HOLINESS becomes

simpler and more joyful now. The LORD GOD somuch wants our SALVATION. After all Heprepared a place for us in Heaven. This awarenessof who we are and who we are to become; wherewe are and where we are to go, and daily listeningto the Voice of the Lord, to know only from Himwhat we should do to gain Eternal Life, helps us inwalking on The HOLY WAY to Heaven. In the lightof God’s Word, which is the fullness of Wisdom andTruth, we put and check our actions. Not with shoutagainst shout, not anger for anger, but growing inGod’s Love, which creates us into God’s Image andLikeness. We explain to our children (reminding toourselves at the same time) that every disobedienceand rebellion, anger and irritation, all that, in reality,is always against God. Only His Power frees us

from hate and vexation, and allows to forgive, andreceive humiliation. Solving hardships or problems ispossible only with God, because Jesus Christ is TheWay, The Truth, and The Life. Our family, thanks toGod’s Grace, has belonged to The LHTBM for fiveyears already.

And we will never be able to giveenough thanks to the Most High God,for in His great Mercy He brings backsuch sinners like us to the true life inJesus Christ, in our Holy RomanCatholic Church, through The LoveHoly Trinity Blessed Mission.

With all this, we share it here and witness aboutit. The Holy Spirit filled our hearts throughout thelast five years of listening to and living with God’sWord, according to the instructions of The Love HolyTrinity Blessed Mission. The fruits of transformationslowly can be seen in both the children and us parents. Our aspirations, and also our daily activities, becameuniform: reading God’s Word, which has The Powerto transform our hearts and to give us Eternal Life;participation in daily Holy Mass, common prayer, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, talks on subjectsof soul and of spiritual growth, and Mission meetingsevery week. With God’s help, we try to change thelife of our family into a holy family’s life.

It is not only an addition to a schedule of awhole week. It is a continuous carrying of our cross,a continuous rising from fallings and begging Godfor forgiveness, and a continuous cleaning of heartand growing in Holiness.

To The HOUSE of GOD, our FATHER, wego on together, caring about one another, about oursalvation and the salvation of all others. Attainmentof a gold medal in Olympics requires many sacrifices, many hours of training, discipline, denying of one’sself, and all that for one-time splendor, for one’s glory.Attainment of Holiness is something more then thevictory in games – it is ETERNITY. Attainment ofHoliness in a family is an unceasing begging God forthe Grace of the transformation of the hearts, forHis Forgiveness, for His Love and Wisdom.

Only God can teach us this Loveand Wisdom but there is one con-dition: we must desire it with all ourstrength and with all our heart. Just sucha resolve we made in our family, the resolve whichwe repeat every day – in words and deeds. Today,on the eve of Christmas, we endeavor even more tobecome a holy family in God’s eyes. Advent is ahumble preparation of our hearts, and simultaneously, greatly joyful expectation for coming of Jesus Christ.

This Joy in the prospect of meeting our Lordis over everything else that has been going on in ouroutward preparation for Christmas, because everymoment of this outward and inward preparation, wewant to do only for God’s Glory.

How on earth could you not praise the Lord, when children strive to do as many good deeds asthey can – not to be noticed, praised and given gifts– but so that through such doings they would preparethemselves for meeting with the Baby Jesus.

We want so much that our hearts, as well asall parents and children, and all our brothers andsisters, would be so clean and ready for the comingof our Lord, now in the time of Christmas, and inevery day of our Holy Journey to Heaven.

God Bless You!

Margaret and Peter S.

Rid yourselves of all malice and alldeceit, insincerity, envy, and allslander; like newborn infants, longfor pure spiritual milk so thatthrough it you may grow intoSalvation, for you have tasted thatThe Lord is Good. Come to Him, aLiving Stone, rejected by humanbeings but Chosen and Precious inthe sight of God, and, like livingstones, let yourselves be built intoa spiritual house to be a HolyPriesthood to offer spiritualsacrifices acceptable to Godthrough Jesus Christ. For it saysin Scripture: “Behold, I am Layinga Stone in Zion, a Cornerstone,Chosen and Precious, and whoeverbelieves in It shall not be put toshame.” Therefore, Its value is foryou who have faith, but for thosewithout faith: “The Stone Whichthe builders rejected has becomeThe Cornerstone”

Family Prayer59. The Church prays for the Christian familyand educates the family to live in generousaccord with the priestly gift and rolereceived from Christ the High Priest. In effect, the baptismal priesthood of the faithful, exercised in the sacrament of marriage, constitutes the basis of a priestly vocationand mission for the spouses and family bywhich their daily lives are transformed into“spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God throughJesus Christ.”(149) This transformation isachieved not only by celebrating the Eucharistand the other sacraments and throughoffering themselves to the glory of God,but also through a life of prayer, throughprayerful dialogue with the Father, throughJesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit.

Family prayer has its own characteristicqualities. It is prayer offered in common, husband and wife together, parents andchildren together. Communion in prayer isboth a consequence of and a requirementfor the communion bestowed by thesacraments of Baptism and Matrimony. Thewords with which the Lord Jesus promisesHis presence can be applied to the membersof the Christian family in a special way: “AgainI say to you, if two of you agree on earthabout anything they ask, it will be done forthem by my Father in heaven. For wheretwo or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”(150)

Family prayer has for its very own objectfamily life itself, which in all its varyingcircumstances is seen as a call from God andlived as a filial response to His call. Joys andsorrows, hopes and disappointments, birthsand birthday celebrations, weddinganniversaries of the parents, departures, separations and homecomings, important andfar-reaching decisions, the death of thosewho are dear, etc.-all of these mark God’sloving intervention in the family’s history. They should be seen as suitable momentsfor thanksgiving, for petition, for trustingabandonment of the family into the handsof their common Father in heaven. The dignityand responsibility of the Christian family asthe domestic Church can be achieved onlywith God’s unceasing aid, which will surelybe granted if it is humbly and trustinglypetitioned in prayer.

OF POPE JOHN PAUL II

ON THE ROLE OF THE CHRISTIAN

FAMILY IN THE MODERN WORLD

Called to Be a Saintby Almighty God our Eternal Father

In those days came John the Baptist, preachingin the wilderness of Judea, “Repent, for TheKingdom of Heaven is at hand.” For this is hewho was spoken of by the Prophet Isaiah whenhe said, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness:Prepare The Way of The Lord.” Matt 3:1-3

“In those days a decree went out from CaesarAugustus that all the world should be enrolled. Thiswas the first enrollment, when Quirinius wasgovernor of Syria. And all went to be enrolled, each to his own city. And Joseph also went upfrom Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea,to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who waswith child. And whilethey were there, the timecame for her to bedelivered. And she gavebirth to her first-bornson and wrapped him inswaddling clothes, andlaid him in a manger, because there was noplace for them in theinn” (Luke 2:1-7)

Jesus was born inBethlehem – a special, chosen city. Bethlehem -the “House of Bread”became the birthplace forthe Word that becameflesh, and truly God gaveus the Bread fromHeaven.

However, the cityof Bethlehem is not theonly place that Jesus chosefor Himself. He would liketo come into every heart, family, city and nation. Andwe as a family would like to welcome Him with heartsfull of love, joy and humble adoration.

In the moment of Jesus’ appearing in this worlda new flame was lit. This flame will never beextinguished. We pray and beg God that this flame ofHis Love never be diminished in us.

Jesus was born in very humble circumstances.God chose the manger for His earthly birth. Therefore,if we want to welcome Him in our families we shouldprepare humble hearts. When He will come, ourfamily can truly transform into a holy family.

To be a holy family means to grow in obedienceto the Word of God, the teachings of the Church, practicing God’s Love, solid daily work, self disciplineand to grow in the holy virtues.

In our family life we were always looking for adeeper relation with God, and gradually, through theteaching of The Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission, this desire became alive. We see important changesin our priorities. God’s Truth entered all areas of ourlife and we started an incredible Holy Journey.Recognizing God’s presence in our hearts, we changedour view of the world around us. Everything we do

should glorify God. Thisis the tremendous impactof The Mission upon ourfamily. We as parentsrealize a great respon-sibility that God hasplaced on us, and nowwe know what it meansto raise children andprepare them forHeaven - our true home.We see that it is mostimportant for children toknow that God truly lovesthem and they are Hischildren. They need tolisten to Him, to knowHim, and to be with Him.That’s the way the littleones can learn to haveconnection with God andto love Him. We knowthat to learn this, childrenneed the daily practice. Therefore we have tospend time with them. Asthe coaches, we have to

show them how to love God and other people, practiceprayer and daily Bible reading, and receive the HolySacraments. Now we see how they are trying tobecome more obedient, trying to follow our guidance. They are able to see their mistakes. This allows themto understand that they need God’s help to changetheir weaknesses. We can use even our mistakes forGod’s glory.

Now we have Christmas time. We desire thatthis special moment will be the true welcoming of Jesusin our hearts. We wish and pray that every family inthe whole world will open the door for Our Savior andreceive the Holy Love, joy and peace that come withEmmanuel – God Who came to us, and is with us.

I wish to thank God for the great Loveand Mercy He has given me, and also, that he gave His life for me so that I couldlive. I thank God that He has given usthe Holy Sacraments so that I could feedmy soul for the time of this earthlypilgrimage. And now I wish from thedepths of my heart to thank our HeavenlyFather for his great gift to the Church -the Holy Mission (the Holy Journey toHeaven). How loving is our HeavenlyFather, how He takes care of us, so thatwe could someday be with Him alwaysin Heaven.I am and have been regularly attendingthe meetings, as well as the Love HolyTrinity Blessed Mission Retreats, forseveral years now. With great joy I wishto share that the Good Lord through theHoly Mission causes the great miracleof the change of my heart. As a CatholicI always wanted the salvation of my soulas well as my loved ones. I thought thatattending Mass, plus morning and eveningprayer, was enough to gain salvation.

Since my childhood I rememberChristmas as a time of joyfulcelebration in our family circle. It wasa time led up to by a bustle of holidaypreparation. It was general cleaning ofthe house, dressing a Christmas tree, shopping, searching for gifts, and at theend, culinary works. However, the lasttwo years this celebration had acompletely different dimension. It isvery sad that for many years we werebusy with so many things that hadnothing in common with the mystery of

Ecclesial Service53. The ministry of evangelization carried out by Christian parents is original and irreplaceable. It assumes the characteristics typical of family lifeitself, which should be interwoven with love, simplicity, practicality and daily witness.(127)

The family must educate the children for life in such a way that each one may fully perform his or her role according to the vocation receivedfrom God. Indeed, the family that is open to transcendent values, that serves its brothers and sisters with joy, that fulfills its duties with generousfidelity, and is aware of its daily sharing in the mystery of the glorious Cross of Christ, becomes the primary and most excellent seed-bed ofvocations to a life of consecration to the Kingdom of God.

The parents’ ministry of evangelization and catechesis ought to play a part in their children’s lives also during adolescence and youth, when thechildren, as often happens, challenge or even reject the Christian faith received in earlier years. Just as in the Church the work of evangelizationcan never be separated from the sufferings of the apostle, so in the Christian family parents must face with courage and great interior serenitythe difficulties that their ministry of evangelization sometimes encounters in their own children.

It should not be forgotten that the service rendered by Christian spouses and parents to the Gospel is essentially an ecclesial service. It has itsplace within the context of the whole Church as an evangelized and evangelizing community. In so far as the ministry of evangelization andcatechesis of the Church of the home is rooted in and derives from the one mission of the Church and is ordained to the upbuilding of the oneBody of Christ,(128) it must remain in intimate communion and collaborate responsibly with all the other evangelizing and catechetical activitiespresent and at work in the ecclesial community at the diocesan and parochial levels.

APOSTOLIC EXHORTATION FAMILIARIS CONSORTIO OF POPE JOHN PAUL II

ON THE ROLE OF THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY IN THE MODERN WORLD

Called to Be a Saintby Almighty God our Eternal Father

How great was my mistake! It was duringthe Mission meetings that I found out thatmy heart must be free of all filth (sin)and be holy. It was on the Missionmeetings that the Holy Spirit, through thegroup coordinators, teaches me and givesme solid direction, what I should do, inorder to cleanse my heart. Through usingthese directions, as well as listening tomy spiritual director, who leads me alongthis path to God, I noticed my change ofheart – the Good Lord is doingeverything. God showed me that myholiness and that of my family is thegreatest treasure. Now I look completelydifferent at this life here on Earth. I knowthat these worldly things are needed onlyto help me get to heaven, and not be mypriorities in life – like before. When myheart started to change, my family didalso, my children and my husband. Goingtogether for the Holy Eucharist, we giveour children to God, begging Him to leadthem through this life, so that He wouldgive them strength in order to resist

temptation, and to always choose Him. Isee that you can always count on ourFather in Heaven. If a person wants inhis heart to become holy, then God willgive it to that person. I see how Godchanges our family, especially in the lastyear. I am noticing the change of valuesin my children, that our Heavenly Fathermust come first. We try almost every dayto read God’s Word, knowing that theWord is God Himself and that this Wordhas the power to change our hearts. Wepray with quiet prayer (prayer of theheart) sometimes longer, and sometimesshorter, corresponding to what thechildren can stand. Since they are atdifferent ages, it isn’t easy, but they knowand they try as hard as they can. Now itis Advent, the time of awaiting the comingof Our Savior, and this time we arespending it a little differently. It is notthe time for presents and thestores, but a time to prepare ourhearts, so that they would beclean and beautiful, decorated

for the coming of Our LordJesus. My heart must beoverflowing with humility andmust become poor like thatstable of Bethlehem, in whichOur Savior was born. That is a greatjoy not only for me, but also for myhusband and children. They now look atChristmas a lot differently than a fewyears back. All this our Good Father inHeaven taught us through the Meetingsof The Love Holy Trinity BlessedMission. I would like to again thank Godfor The Mission, and for The School ofThe Saints. The Mission is the School ofSaints. The School is not only for children, but for everyone – no matter how old. Iknow that there is a long road ahead ofus, but I firmly believe and trust that theGood Lord will purify and sanctify ourhearts completely, if we will want to gofarther, if we stand before Him with alowered, humble, and begging heart, likethe Saints did.

God bless - Krystyna P.

The Word that became flesh. Our GoodGod, through The Love Holy TrinityBlessed Mission, showed us veryclearly what is the most important in thisand any other period of our lives. Ofcourse, all things that were good up untilthis time are still good, but is necessaryto put in the proper place the mostimportant aspect of Christmas. JesusChrist, the Eternal Word, Brings to usthe most important gift that mankindcould receive. He lowered Himself andhas shown to us the way back to the

Father’s House. Is there something more beautiful ormore important? I understood thatJesus must be born in my heart and inmy family. If only it would happen, myheart must be as the little stable that Hechose as His birthplace. My heart mustbe meek, humble, and alerted so themystery of birth will happen. Formany years I did not realizethat my heart was an inn orrather a den of thieves wherethe door was locked and

Jesus could not choose it forHis birthplace. Therefore, duringthis Christmas with the music of carolsand sounds of bells, my heart willconstantly repeat the Words from HolyMass: “Lord, I’m not worthy to receiveYou but only say The Word and mysoul will be healed”. Christ told us thatHe came to heal those who are in abad life condition. And for this healingfor my soul, and for my close andspiritual family, I beg today.

God BlessMark P.

The Love Holy Trinity Blessed MissionTM - The School of The SaintsTM

First of all, let me start bythanking and praising God for theLove Holy Trinity Blessed Mission. It is through this Mission that Ilearned what the Catholic faithand the Sacraments in the CatholicChurch are truly about.

Although I was not raised Catholic, I

felt called to the Catholic Church from

a very young age. I remember when I

was in grade school, asking my

parents if I could go to the CCD classes

at the Catholic Church. My mom went

to the priest to ask him. He said I

couldn’t because my parents were not

part of that church. Although disap-

pointed, I accepted his answer. I still

had great hope that someday I would

be able to attend the Catholic Church

in town.

The answer to my prayers

came when I was in 9th grade. The

Catholic Church in town needed an

organist for all of their Masses and had

asked me if I could help them out. I

began going to all of the Masses on

the weekend plus the special Lenten

services at the time. Praise God!

There were some people from

the previous church that I attended that

were not happy that I was attending a

Catholic Church. Over the course of

the next several years, my parents and

I received much persecution and

letters from these people. Nothing was

going to change my mind, though. I

thank God for the parents He sent to

me who supported me at that time.

I have to admit, I didn’t know

what everything in the Mass meant,

but I knew in my heart that there was

“something” there that I just didn’t understand

yet. I knew that I wanted to have the Mass

and the Holy Eucharist at my wedding, so the

night before my wedding I was baptized

Catholic by the parish priest.

As I already said, I didn’t know much

about the church. I didn’t know many of the

prayers, the Rosary or why we did the things

we did during the Mass. I had what I would

call “a crash course” when I started teaching

in a Catholic school. There was still something

missing though. I knew that, but I didn’t know

what it was.

Our marriage certainly was not built

upon the rock foundation of God. This, of

course, we did not realize until years later

when the sand we had built our marriage on

began to be washed away in the stormy trials.

We believed in God, but didn’t know

how to have God as a real part of our lives.

We were the kind of people that went to

Sunday Mass at 10 a.m. because that “was

the thing you did” on Sunday. If we missed

Mass, well there was always next week. It was

definitely not a very Holy attitude, but we

knew nothing else and didn’t have a spiritual

director to guide us. At the time, though, we

didn’t think anything was wrong. We now see

how sinful our past lives were and how much we

have to repent over.

It is through God’s love and mercy that He

called our family to the Mission so we could learn

what the Catholic Church truly is. Words cannot

express how thankful I am.

It is not easy trying to be a holy family. There

are so many struggles in our everyday lives. Ev-

erywhere we turn, there is something there to pull

us away from God and His great love for us. We

think we are doing the “right” thing, only to be

shown later, through God’s great wisdom, that it

is not helping us to grow closer to Him. All I can

do is thank God for His wisdom in showing me

my sins. I thank Him for all He has given us al-

ready and I continually beg Him to have mercy

on us and show us our sins. I continue to repent

over the ways I have led His children to the world

or to myself, instead of to their Heavenly Father.

Preparing for Christmas is different since

joining the Mission. We always read from an

Advent book that I had as a child, but now we see

the importance of the Holy Mass and what

Christmas TRULY means. It is so beautiful to share

Mass as a family on Christmas Eve and Christmas

Day. We put the emphasis on the miracle of Jesus

and not on the material aspect the world throws at

us.

Our lives are definitely different since join-

ing Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission. Not just

during Advent, but the whole year. It was such a

blessing last summer to bring the children to daily

Mass. I could see a difference in their behavior

when school started and they could no longer go

to daily Mass.

We do still have many daily struggles. I

see the rebellion in the children at different times.

I also see how they are a reflection of my own

sinfulness and rebellion. I continually beg

God for His love and mercy and guidance in

raising His children. I know that I have to be

holy in order for them to be holy. I know that

I cannot give what I don’t have. It all starts

with putting God first in our lives, the

marriage next, then the children.

We, as our Lord’s humble

servants, cannot understand the

power and the magnitude of the Mis-

sion. Only when we arecompletely purified andsanctified and reach Heavencan we truly understand theentire Mission and itsmessage. Until then we musthumbly obey our Lord, repent and beg for His mercy. We must pray for and lovethose who do not under-stand.

I am so grateful to God for

sending the Mission to the Catholic

Church. I am grateful that He called

my family and I to be members of the

Mission. The peace that the Love

Holy Trinity Blessed Mission has

brought to us is proof that God is there

for us in our time of need. I love God

and trust in His great Mercy. I know

that I will fall many times, but I know

that God is forgiving, and I need to

repent and ask for His forgiveness.

I can only pray that He

continues to feed us His Holy Word

and heal me, my husband, the chil-

dren and the world. Each day I beg

God for His love and mercy on us. I

beg Him to keep our hearts open to

His Word in the Catholic Church through the

Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission. I want so

much for my family to be in Heaven some-

day. I know that through theSacraments in the Catholic Churchand Love Holy Trinity BlessedMission, we have the chance. I know

I am such a sinner and unworthy, but I

continually beg God for His love, mercy and

wisdom upon all of us.

I would not be where I amtoday in my Catholic faith withoutthe Mission. It is truly a gift fromGod. I can see His Blessings that we are

receiving from this Mission. We will thank

God eternally for the Mission. I know this can

only be a work of God and it is through the

Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission in the

Catholic Church that my children can learn

more about their faith and the Journey to

Heaven.

Having the Journey and the Mission

in our lives is such a blessing. We have so

much to learn and so little time. I never want

to go back to how our lives were before

our lives. Praise God!

As we struggled to answer the questions as a family,we realized that we have a long way to go to be a holyfamily, which is putting God above all, even each other.A holy family prays together and isn’t afraid to sharetheir faith with one another. A holy family journeystogether to prepare to meet Christ. In our marriage,John and I tend to have more holy conversations thanany other type of conversation, since becomingmembers of LHTBM. In fact, since becomingmembers our life has flip-flopped. Prior toLHTBM, we didn’t go to Mass or partake

A holy family exists with the presence of Godin their family. God is first in a holy family.

Our family, which consists of mom and dadand three teenagers, are members of theLHTBM. Our desire is to live withGod’s presence in our life so thatwe may know His will for us andfollow Him. Does that mean that wedon’t have struggles in our life or fall at times?Of course not. Each day we have things thatcome at us to try to pull us away from God.But the beauty of our life as a family in TheLHTBM is that we know that it is only byGod’s grace we were brought together tolive as a family here on earth. God has placed us in thisfamily so that we may grow in humility and obedienceand love. Just as many of us are at different places in ourjourney with Jesus, so it is in our own family. Those whoare stronger in their faith carry the weak just as Jesusdoes. We pray for those who are struggling just as Jesusprayed for us.

We were both raised in a Catholic home where ourparents taught us the blessings of our Catholic faith andthe importance of Mass and the Sacraments. As we

Educators in Prayer60. By reason of their dignity and mission, Christian parents have the specific responsibility of educating their children in prayer, introducing themto gradual discovery of the mystery of God and to personal dialogue with Him: “It is particularly in the Christian family, enriched by the graceand the office of the sacrament of Matrimony, that from the earliest years children should be taught, according to the faith received in Baptism,to have a knowledge of God, to worship Him and to love their neighbor.”(151)

The concrete example and living witness of parents is fundamental and irreplaceable in educating their children to pray. Only by praying togetherwith their children can a father and mother-exercising their royal priesthood-penetrate the innermost depths of their children’s hearts and leavean impression that the future events in their lives will not be able to efface. Let us again listen to the appeal made by Paul VI to parents: “Mothers,do you teach your children the Christian prayers? Do you prepare them, in conjunction with the priests, for the sacraments that they receive whenthey are young: Confession, Communion and Confirmation? Do you encourage them when they are sick to think of Christ suffering to invoke theaid of the Blessed Virgin and the saints? Do you say the family rosary together? And you, fathers, do you pray with your children, with the wholedomestic community, at least sometimes? Your example of honesty in thought and action, joined to some common prayer, is a lesson for life, anact of worship of singular value. In this way you bring peace to your homes: Pax huic domui. Remember, it is thus that you build up the Church.”(152)

in any of the Sacraments. I wasn’t evenCatholic. Since LHTBM, I converted tothe Catholic religion and we partake inthe Sacraments on a regular basis. As afamily our journey is much the same. We easily bringGod into our conversations and we are constantlybringing what we learned from our LHTBM meetingsinto our daily lives. Christmas is another area that haschanged since LHTBM. So much time and effort wasfocused on shopping and preparing our home for theholidays. We were too wore out and stressed to even

see the true meaning. Now it isn’t about the materialgifts, it is about taking the time to prepare our heartsto meet Christ and to be thankful for the gift He gaveto us, Himself. A gift we are able to share witheveryone every day of the year.

May you have a Christ-filled Christmas, and God Bless You.

We NEED to Focus on being a Holy family

look back on our 20 years of marriage,we see how we didn’t always recognizethese blessings of our faith and theSacraments in our life. God has pro-tected us, and it is only by His Great Lovethat we recognize these great gifts Hehas given us. For so long, we werecaught up in the things of the world. Wespent our time concerned about our jobs, money and the “things” we had.Although we had put God somewhere in

that life, He was not first in ourlife. By His Grace and Mercyand The LHTBM, we are livingour lives very differently. Ourconcern is for the Salvation ofeach other’s souls as well as ourchildren’s souls. We realize theneed to focus on being a holyfamily. God is asking us to bringour children to Jesus. The world hasa lot to offer them but we have to guide themtoward a desire for Jesus. Our children mustlearn to trust in God and to know Him andlove Him. This is what we want to pass on toour children, and that they then may pass it

on to their families for generations to follow.

This Advent we desire to focus on God’s presence moreand more in our lives, and to thank and praise Him for themany blessings He has given us. As a family we continueto make the commitment to attend LHTBM meetings, topray together and listen to God’s Word. Together, then,we hope to become that holy family which God desiresfor us - the family where the presence of God lives.

If you then, whoare wicked, know how to give good gifts to yourchildren, how much more will your Heavenly FatherGive Good Things to those who ask Him.” Mt 7:7-11

In Luke 1, we read that the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Mary. Shewas told by the angel Gabriel that she would conceive a son by the power ofthe Holy Spirit, and this child is to be called Jesus. “Therefore, the Child tobe Born will be Called Holy, The Son of God” (Luke 1:35). Mary did nothesitate. Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of The Lord; let it be to meaccording to Your Word” (Luke 1:38) Joseph then took Mary to be his wife. Both Mary and Joseph said with a willing heart “Yes” to God. They wereready to follow God’s will. In these 2000 years Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are the Holy Family to the world. God’s willwas fulfilled through them. Even with all the trials, per-secutions, and everyday challenges, they stayed faithfulto God, doing God’s work on earth. They are our exampleof love, faithfulness, and holiness. We too are called to be a holy family. We are asked to do God’s will in ourlives. What does that mean? In (John 2:5) Mary said to the servants at thewedding feast at Cana, “Do whatever He Tells you.” Jesus, our Teacher, throughout the Gospels states what we should do to be Holy. In Matthew 4Jesus tells us, “Repent, for The Kingdom of God is at hand” (Matt 4:17).Later, in Matthew 22, Jesus teaches us: “You shall Love The Lord your Godwith all your Heart, and with all your Soul, and with all your mind. This is thegreatest and First Commandment. And a second is like It. You shall Loveyour neighbor as yourself” (Matt 22:37-39).What does Jesus say to our family? In clear terms, we as a family need toturn away from sin, focus on God first, and love the people around us, includingall people we meet in our everyday lives. Our family has a long way to go.We are on the Holy Journey only by the Grace of God.We know we are sinners and need to purify and sanctifybefore we meet God. As a family we need to help eachother grow in our relationship with God and one another. Our family does this by praying together the Unity Prayer, going to Holy Mass together, attending LHTBM meetingstogether as a family and some meetings individually, anddoing family quiet prayer together. Our focus is learningto love God first and then our family and other people. Atthe same time, we are praying to God and trusting in His Love and Mercy fortwo other family members who are not in Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission. Two of our sons are working in the world and allowing the world to be theirfocus. We will keep our eyes and hearts focused on God, as we believe onlyGod can change hearts and lives, not us.As a couple, we are trying to help each other grow in holiness and keep Godfirst in our lives, then our marriage, and then our family. We were told that ourfocus as a married couple is to help each other go to Heaven. That is our goalas well as our heartfelt desire that our family grows in holiness, each memberof our family, not just some of us. When we pray together, we are allowingGod to prepare our hearts and change our lives. Going to prayer meetings,(including a couples group), and Holy Mass, as a couple, also helps us keepGod as the center of our lives. As a couple and as individuals, we know Godhas brought us to this Holy Journey. We also know we have far to go with allour imperfections, weaknesses, and all the times we focus on the world insteadof God. However, we have received many, many blessings from God andwe are very grateful. Praise God!As we prepare our hearts during Advent for the Holy Day of Christmas, ourfamily is trying to keep God as the center in our lives. Praying together andindividually, going to Holy Mass, and not allowing the world to overshadowthe meaning of this Holy Season, is how we are preparing our hearts forJesus. Yes, Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission is helping us keep our focuson God as we prepare our hearts, and this is truly our blessing.Praise God now and forever! John and Monica D.

The Christian Family’s Ministry of Evangelization

52. To the extent inwhich the Christian familyaccepts the Gospel andmatures in faith, itbecomes an evangeli-zing community. Let uslisten again to Paul VI:“The family, like theChurch, ought to be aplace where the Gospelis transmitted and fromwhich the Gospelradiates. In a familywhich is conscious of thismission, all the membersevangelize and areevangelized. The parentsnot only communicatethe Gospel to theirchildren, but from theirchi ldren they canthemselves receive thesame Gospel as deeplylived by them. And sucha family becomes theevangelizer of manyother families, and of theneighborhood of whichit forms part.”(123)

As the Synod repeated, taking up the appeal which I launched at Puebla, the future of evangelization depends in great part on the Church of thehome.(124) This apostolic mission of the family is rooted in Baptism andreceives from the grace of the sacrament of marriage new strength totransmit the faith, to sanctify and transform our present society accordingto God’s plan.

Particularly today, the Christian family has a special vocation to witnessto the paschal covenant of Christ by constantly radiating the joy of loveand the certainty of the hope for which it must give an account: “TheChristian family loudly proclaims both the present virtues of the Kingdomof God and the hope of a blessed life to come.”(125)

The absolute need for family catechesis emerges with particular force incertain situations that the Church unfortunately experiences in someplaces: “In places where anti-religious legislation endeavors even toprevent education in the faith, and in places where widespread unbeliefor invasive secularism makes real religious growth practically impossible,‘the Church of the home’ remains the one place where children andyoung people can receive an authentic catechesis.”(126)

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, The HolyFamily. A humble family, completely centered on Godand doing HIS will, not their own. Yes, God, I love Youthis much. Yes God.The Love Holy Trinity BlessedMission has helped us to focus onthe perfect Holy Family, in whatThey are, and what we would liketo become.A Holy family has God at the topand center of each and every thingin their lives. From their conduct,to their thoughts, God is with them in all. They seek God’swisdom and guidance in all their actions, continually tryingto do only the Will of God, and being humbly obedient tothe Will of God. Pleasing God is a higher priority thanpleasing the world, because at the moment of our death,we must stand before Almighty God… alone.(1 John 2:17) “Yet the world and its enticements are passing away. But whoeverdoes The Will of God Remains forever.”A Holy family takes great hope in God’s love and mercy, staying connected to theliving water through reading the Word of God, Quiet Prayer, Verbal prayers,Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Humbly participating in the Sacrament ofReconciliation and Thankfully participating in the Holy Mass at every opportunity.A Holy family has the courage, only through the strength of Jesus, to LIVE as aHoly family, and to witness Jesus in times when the world seems to be heading ina different direction.A Holy family is what God intended for every marriage. God is the focus of thecouple as they accept the will of God in all areas for that marriage .When a marriedcouple journeys together in their Catholic Faith, God will guide them in the decisions. There is a fullness and richness in the marriage that nothing on this earth canreproduce. The world provides so many false pictures of whatthe sacrament should be, all self-centered and materialistic. The Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission has been theinstrument to open our eyes to the sanctity and holinesswhich a marriage should have. As a couple, traveling thisHoly Journey together is a Blessing from God, but also anexpectation from God. In His Divine Plan, He created us as spiritual/human persons, to live a Holy life individually and as a married couple. TrueHoly Love within the marriage, is to help one another getto Heaven, walking together with Jesus Christ.Saying yes to God, and living as He wills, allows the grace from Heaven to flowthrough the marriage to the children. This blessing will flow from generation togeneration. (Ex 20: 6) “Bestowing mercy down to the thousandth generation,on the children of those who Love Me and keep My Commandments.”This is God’s promise to us, that we will be blessed abundantly if we keep HIM 1st

in our hearts, which is His temple, and in our homes. It is the Love of Christ thatcontinually guides us as parents and as spouses. To Love as Christ loved;to serve God by serving one another. That is our Mission. The Advent season and Christmas has taken on new meaning as we grow inGod’s Love as a family. Preparing our hearts for Jesus has taken the place ofpreparing our home for presents. Where in the past it had been avery hectic time, with many different worldly and busythings, now it is becoming simpler, with less and less exteriorpreparation, and more interior preparation. Preparing ourheart for Jesus. Cleaning more junk out of our heart, sowe can make room for HIM to live there. In many ways though, this is the Journey. We don’t just stop preparing for Jesus on December 25th; wecontinue the Advent journey of emptying out for Jesus each and every day of ourearthly life. Jesus loves us so much, that it is His wish for us to be with HimEternally. We cannot live in hope for our Eternal Salvation without making thatheart connection with Jesus here on earth. Prepare and welcome HIM into yourhearts each and every day of your earthly life.

God’s Blessings, Bill and Linda C.

The Broader Communion of the Family21. Conjugal communion constitutes thefoundation on which is built the broadercommunion of the family, of parents andchildren, of brothers and sisters with eachother, of relatives and other members ofthe household.

This communion is rooted in the naturalbonds of flesh and blood, and grows to itsspecifically human perfection with theestablishment and maturing of the stilldeeper and richer bonds of the spirit: thelove that animates the interpersonalrelationships of the different members ofthe family constitutes the interior strengththat shapes and animates the familycommunion and community.

The Christian family is also called toexperience a new and original communionwhich confirms and perfects natural and human communion. In fact thegrace of Jesus Christ, “the first-born among many brethren “(56) is by itsnature and interior dynamism “a grace of brotherhood,” as St. ThomasAquinas calls it.(57) The Holy Spirit, who is poured forth in the celebrationof the sacraments, is the living source and inexhaustible sustenance of thesupernatural communion that gathers believers and links them with Christand with each other in the unity of the Church of God. The Christian familyconstitutes a specific revelation and realization of ecclesial communion, and for this reason too it can and should be called “the domestic Church.”(58)

All members of the family, each according to his or her own gift, have thegrace and responsibility of building, day by day, the union of persons, making the family “a school of deeper humanity”(59): this happens wherethere is care and love for the little ones, the sick, the aged; where thereis mutual service every day; when there is a sharing of goods, of joys andof sorrows.

A fundamental opportunity for building such a communion is constitutedby the educational exchange between parents and children,(60) in whicheach gives and receives. By means of love, respect and obedience towardstheir parents, children offer their specific and irreplaceable contribution tothe construction of an authentically human and Christian family.(61) Theywill be aided in this if parents exercise their unrenounceable authority as atrue and proper “ministry,” that is, as a service to the human and Christianwell-being of their children, and in particular as a service aimed at helpingthem acquire a truly responsible freedom, and if parents maintain a livingawareness of the “gift” they continually receive from their children.

Family communion can only be preserved and perfected through a greatspirit of sacrifice. It requires, in fact, a ready and generous openness ofeach and all to understanding, to forbearance, to pardon, to reconciliation. There is no family that does not know how selfishness, discord, tensionand conflict violently attack and at times mortally wound its own communion:hence there arise the many and varied forms of division in family life. But,at the same time, every family is called by the God of peace to have thejoyous and renewing experience of “reconciliation,” that is, communionreestablished, unity restored. In particular, participation in the sacramentof Reconciliation and in the banquet of the one Body of Christ offers tothe Christian family the grace and the responsibility of overcoming everydivision and of moving towards the fullness of communion willed by God,responding in this way to the ardent desire of the Lord: “that they may beone.”(62)

A holy family is a family that prays together, discusses their faith, and helpseach other grow in holiness with God. The parents of a holy family guide thechildren toward God, and the children are humbly obedient to their parents. The members of a holy family love each other and wanteach other to go to heaven. Our family prays silent prayer together and discusses what we’ve learned andwhat has touched us from LHTBM meetings. We also make it a habit to praythe unity prayer together. Whenever we stray from our paths towards God, weremind one another what is truly important. As Christmas approaches, we are preparing by focusing on the reason for theseason, Jesus. We are preparing our hearts for Jesus’ coming at Christmas andhis second coming. Rather than worrying about what gifts we will receive atChristmas, we are striving to purify our souls so that we might enter the narrowgate. We are truly blessed to be a part of Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission. It hasshown us how we can help our family become a holy family. We are trulyblessed.

Mike and Anne S.

This Advent season we can look back at other years and see somechanges in how we approach the season. In past years our “busy” lives wouldseem overwhelmed with the thoughts of getting everything done for Christmas, which meant baking, entertaining, buying gifts, etc. Before we knew it,Christmas was over and the true meaning was buried beneath it all. Thisyear, because of the gifts God has given us through theLHTBM, our first priority is preparing our hearts, byspending time with Our Lord in quiet prayer, readingscripture, and really appreciating God’s love and mercyin the Holy Mass. The Gospel and the homilies speak directly to us onhow we are to wake up and prepare ourselves. As a couple, we discuss thisand try to help each other to see opportunities where we can grow in holiness, also at times when we fall, we can see how God has helped us up. We are sotruly thankful to God for so many blessings that He’s given us and we want todo what is pleasing in His eyes. Our goal is to become a holy family, through the Grace of God, to bring our children to knowtheir true Father and to be able to help each other walkin the footsteps of Jesus.

The Holy Fa-mily. That isthe image Isee in mymind when Ifirst pictureC h r i s t m a s ,the image ofJoseph, Maryand JesusChrist, thebaby. Then I hearthe strains of “OHoly Night”, sungby my father fromthe choir loft.Christmas hasalways beenimportant to myfamily and me, as Iwas growing up ina small Catholicparish, and now, asI raise my ownfamily. The memo-ries are rich and the awe of Christ’s birth and the miracle He brought I willnever forget. Then my mind jumps to other images of Christmas, decoratedChristmas trees with fancy presents underneath, a lightly falling snow amongstthe glowing Christmas lights, we need more lights, when will we get our tree up,oh what am I going to say in this year’s Christmas letter, there isn’t enough timeto get the baking and shopping done, etc…

This is where my journey begins, my journey to keep my focus always onGod. Attending the LHTBM Advent retreat has been anopportunity for me to stay away from the mall and redirectmy attention to preparing for the birth of my Lord andSavior, Jesus Christ. This is a time for me to focus on my individualjourney and my family’s journey toward becoming a reflection of the Holy Family.Their example of living as a Holy Family is set before us. They lovingly acceptedthe life God had set before them. They obeyed His will, not knowing what theirfuture would bring. Their goal was to be obedient to God and to bring glory toHim in whatever they did.

I struggle on my journey, as a child of God, a wife, and a mother. I look atthe life of our Mother, Mary, and know that I too need to be obedient to God’swill in my life. Through LHTBM, I have been able to see my reflection in myfamily. I have learned how my sinfulness can be seen in the fruits of my mar-riage and in my children. I have also learned that the image of the Holy Familycan be reflected in my family. I need to make that loving connection with Godour Father and stay close to Him in prayer, Scripture, and the Sacraments, andthen my family will begin to be more like the Holy Family.

My family had the opportunity to attend the family retreats this past year.It was a time to focus on our growth as a Holy family. This is not something Ireally had put much thought into in the past. I considered our family tomore of an “All American” family, but never really sawthe image of the Holy Family as something obtainable. Ihave learned to be more consistent in my prayer life, that I have to becomeconnected to Almighty God first, then united with Him and my husband, andthen the graces will flow down to our children. Now, when I close my eyes toform the first images of Christmas, I smile when I see the picture of Joseph,Mary and Baby Jesus. I smile more as I humbly pray that my family will be areflection of that Holy family too.

Merry Christmas and God’s Blessings to you and your family,Katie G.

The Love Holy Trinity Blessed MissionTM - The School of The SaintsTM

As I prepare for the coming of the Lord this Holy Advent Season, recalling all His goodnessand mercy to me a sinner, it makes my heart swell in thanksgiving.I am celebrating, too, the beginning of my tenth year as a member of The Love HolyTrinity Blessed Mission. Here, through LHTBM, the continual work, out of God’sHoly Love, the Truth - God’s Holy Word, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I’mlearning how to become Holy as God has commanded us. It is truly awesome. Thewords are very hard to find to tell all the blessings of the Lord through this Mission.

I am learning that this Holy Journey of the Soul, going Home to our HeavenlyFather, to be with Him for all eternity is truly a walk of Trust and HumbleObedience to His Word.

Reflecting on the Advent Season, I think of (Matt 5:3), “Blessed are the poorin spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Jesus is giving me another opportunity to repent, to empty out of all that is notof God, to acknowledge more deeply how poor I am without Jesus. I am re-penting for my sins, begging Him to come and make His home in my heart.

Through LHTBM, I am learning Jesus wants to live in me,and wants for me to live in Him. Not justsomeday in Heaven, but beginning now, more and more each day, until I reachthat everlasting union with the Holy Trin-ity.Through LHTBM, I have come to knowwhy I’m here on earth: to be reconciled toGod and to be re-created to His Image, each day to prepare my heart for Jesuscoming by following Him,which is the HolyJourney to Heaven, the Way of the Cross.

(Matt 8:20) says, “Jesus answered him,‘Foxes have dens and birds of the skyhave nests, but the Son of Man, hasnowhere to rest His head.’” That scrip-ture compels me to ask myself, what kindof resting place is my heart for Jesus? Idon’t look far to see pride, self-righteous-ness, self-centeredness. I need so muchrepenting and cleansing to be a restingplace for Jesus. That’s why I have to goon this Holy Journey to Heaven. The LHTBMhas been teaching, nurturing, and equipping me to makethe changes in my life. This is a life-long process anddoes not happen overnight. I have so far to go. But as Ilook back and reflect, I see God’s Faithfulness, His Loveand Mercy to me a sinner. I keep hearing in my heart, through Holy Scripture, Our Father in Heaven calling,“Come to me” I can see some of the changes God hasmade in my heart. I can see how He has delivered mefrom so much sin and evilness. I desire to serve andGlorify the Holy Trinity and witness His Love and Mercyand Word to others. The Sacraments and the Bible andPrayer are so vital to me now. I so much want to continueon this journey, and one day be united with my Father.

(Rev 22:17) says, “The Spirit and the Bride say Come.Let the hearer say. Come. Let the one who thirsts comeforward, and the one who wants it receive the gift ofLife Giving Water.” (eternal life).

(Rev 22:20&21) – “The One Who gives this testimonySays, Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, LordJesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.”

As I look backHow clear to see

How faithful GodHas been to me

There are no wordsThat I can find

Only His LoveOverpowering the mind

How good and kindAre all His ways

He treats us notAs we deserve

Humbly let usTrust His Word

Let us followTo the Tree

Choosing HimUnceasingly

All the pain we suffer hereStemming from our lack of fear

Helps us grow fromYear to year

Now this is how the Birth of Jesus Christ cameabout. When His Mother Mary wasbetrothed to Joseph, but before they livedtogether, She was found with Child throughThe Holy Spirit. Joseph Her husband, sincehe was a righteous man, yet unwilling toexpose Her to shame, decided to divorce Herquietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of The Lord appeared to him in adream and said, “Joseph, son of David, donot be afraid to take Mary your wife into yourhome. For it is through The Holy Spirit thatthis Child has been Conceived in Her. She willbear a Son and you are to name Him Jesus, because He will Save His People from theirsins.” All this took place to fulfill what TheLord had Said through the prophet: “Behold, the Virgin shall be with Child and bear a Son,and they shall name Him Emmanuel,” whichmeans “God is with us.” When Joseph awoke,he did as the angel of The Lord hadcommanded him and took his wife into hishome. He had no relations with Her until SheBore a Son, and he named Him Jesus.

Matt 1:18-25

In the beginning was The Word,

and The Word was with God,

and The Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.

All things Came to Be through Him,

and without Him nothing Came to Be.

What Came to Be through Him was Life,

and this Life was The Light of the human race; The Light Shines in the darkness,

and the darkness has not overcome It. A man named John was Sent from God. He came for testimony, to testify to The Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not The Light, but came to testify to The Light. The true Light, Which Enlightens everyone, was Coming into the world. He was in the world,

and the world came to be through Him,

but the world did not know Him. He Came to what was His own,

but His own People did not accept Him. But to those who did accept Him He Gave Power to Become Children of God, to those who believe in His Name, who were born not by natural generation nor by human choice nor by a man’s decision but of God. And The Word Became flesh

and Made His dwelling among us,

and we saw His Glory,

The Glory as of The Father’s only Son,

full of Grace and Truth. John testified to Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of Whom I said,

‘The One Who is Coming after me ranks ahead of me because He Existed before me.’” From His Fullness we have all Received, Grace in place of Grace, because while the law was given through Moses, Grace and Truth Came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. The only Son, God, Who is at The Father’s Side, has Revealed Him.

John 1:1-18

Now there were shepherds in that regionliving in the fields and keeping the night watchover their flock. The Angel of The Lordappeared to them and the Glory of The LordShone around them, and they were struck withgreat fear. The angel said to them, “Do not beafraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good newsof great joy that will be for all the people. Fortoday in the city of David a Savior has beenBorn for you Who Is Messiah and Lord. Andthis will be a sign for you: you will find an Infantwrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in amanger.” And suddenly there was a multitudeof the Heavenly Host with the Angel, praisingGod and saying: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth Peace to those on whom His Favor Rests.”

When the Angels went away from themto Heaven, the shepherds said to one another,“Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see thisthing that has taken place, which The Lord hasMade Known to us.” So they went in hasteand found Mary and Joseph, and The Infantlying in the manger. When they saw this, theymade known the message that had been toldthem about this Child. All who heard it wereamazed by what had been told them by theshepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in Her Heart. Then theshepherds returned, glorifying and praisingGod for all they had heard and seen, just as ithad been told to them. Luke 2:8-20

APOSTOLIC LETTERMANE NOBISCUM DOMINE

OF THE HOLY FATHERJOHN PAUL II

TO THE BISHOPS, CLERGYAND FAITHFUL

FOR THE YEAR OF THE EUCHARIST

OCTOBER 2004–OCTOBER 2005

THE EUCHARIST, PRINCIPLE AND PLAN OF “MISSION”

“They set out immediately” (cf. Lk 24:33)

24. The two disciples of Emmaus, upon recognizing the Lord, “set out immediately” (cf. Lk 24:33), in order to report what they had seen and heard.Once we have truly met the Risen One by partaking of his body and blood, we cannot keep to ourselves the joy we have experienced. The encounterwith Christ, constantly intensified and deepened in the Eucharist, issues in the Church and in every Christian an urgent summons to testimony andevangelization. I wished to emphasize this in my homily announcing the Year of the Eucharist, based on the words of Saint Paul: “As often as youeat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes” (1 Cor 11:26). The Apostle closely relates meal and proclamation:entering into communion with Christ in the memorial of his Pasch also means sensing the duty to be a missionary of the event made present in thatrite.(22) The dismissal at the end of each Mass is a charge given to Christians, inviting them to work for the spread of the Gospel and the imbuingof society with Christian values.

25. The Eucharist not only provides the interior strength needed for this mission, but is also —in some sense—its plan. For the Eucharist is a modeof being, which passes from Jesus into each Christian, through whose testimony it is meant to spread throughout society and culture. For this tohappen, each member of the faithful must assimilate, through personal and communal meditation, the values which the Eucharist expresses, theattitudes it inspires, the resolutions to which it gives rise. Can we not see here a special charge which could emerge from this Year of theEucharist?

Giving thanks

26. One fundamental element of this plan is found in the very meaning of the word “Eucharist”: thanksgiving. In Jesus, in his sacrifice, in hisunconditional “yes” to the will of the Father, is contained the “yes”, the “thank you” and the “amen” of all humanity. The Church is called to remindmen and women of this great truth. This is especially urgent in the context of our secularized culture, characterized as it is by a forgetfulness of Godand a vain pursuit of human self-sufficiency. Incarnating the Eucharistic “plan” in daily life, wherever people live and work—in families, schools, theworkplace, in all of life’s settings—means bearing witness that human reality cannot be justified without reference to the Creator: “Without theCreator the creature would disappear”.(23) This transcendent point of reference, which commits us constantly to give thanks for all that we have andare—in other words, to a “Eucharistic” attitude—in no way detracts from the legitimate autonomy of earthly realities,(24) but grounds that autonomymore firmly by setting it within its proper limits.

In this Year of the Eucharist Christians ought to be committed to bearing more forceful witness to God’s presence in the world. We should not beafraid to speak about God and to bear proud witness to our faith. The “culture of the Eucharist” promotes a culture of dialogue, which here findsstrength and nourishment. It is a mistake to think that any public reference to faith will somehow undermine the rightful autonomy of the State andcivil institutions, or that it can even encourage attitudes of intolerance. If history demonstrates that mistakes have also been made in this area bybelievers, as I acknowledged on the occasion of the Jubilee, this must be attributed not to “Christian roots”, but to the failure of Christians to befaithful to those roots. One who learns to say “thank you” in the manner of the crucified Christ might end up as a martyr, but never as apersecutor.
