In the name of Alláh the Beneficent, the

Merciful.

èkáäÇádâÆ ãÁB áäÑ èkáäÇádâÆ ÔÃá® ãäÄá{ áäÈâÏäÃÂáB

O Alláh bless Mu<ammad and the

family of Mu<ammad.

âÉåÒâËáQ Ù áÑ çÁCáÆ â°á·åËáÖ Ù áÅåÒáÖ áÉCáÆÛB

áÀâÃáNåsáB åØëÊãB éÈâÏäÃÂáB

O Alláh, I am asking for your protection

against the Day when nothing like wealth or children will be of use

èÈå×ãÃás èSåÃá»ãQ áÐäÃÂB ÔáWáB åÌáÆ

éÙãB

and only that person will benefit who will

come with a pure heart.

âÁåÒâ»áÖ ãÐåÖákáÖ ÔÃá® âÈãÂCé«ÂB ê¤á¯áÖ áÅåÒáÖ áÉCáÆÛB áÀâÃáNåsáB áÑ

And I am asking for your protection against the Day when a wrongdoer will be

biting the back of his hands in regret and will be saying,

æÚå×ãRás ãÁåÒâséoÂB á°áÆ âVåmáhéWB ØãËáXå×á CáÖ

“Oh, I wish I had chosen the way shown by the Prophet (of Alláh).”

åÈâÎCáÇå×ãtãQ áÉåÒâÆãoå`âÇåÂB

âµáoå¯âÖ áÅåÒáÖ áÉCáÆÛB áÀâÃáNåsáB áÑ

And I am asking for your protection against the

Day when sinners will be known by their faces,

ãÅBákåºÛB áÑ åØã{BáÒéËÂCãQ

âmágåKâ×á¶

and will be taken by their hair and feet.

ãÍãkáÂáÑ åÌá® çkãÂBáÑ åÕãqå`áÖ Ù áÅåÒáÖ

áÉCáÆÛB áÀâÃáNåsáBáÑ

And I am asking for your protection against the Day when a father will not serve instead of his

son,

CæNå×áw ãÍãkãÂBáÑ åÌá® èpCá_ áÒâÎ

çjåÒâÂåÒáÆ Ù áÑ

nor will a son be punished instead of his

father for anything,

ç ä¼ác ãÐäÃÂB ákå®áÑ éÉãB

since Alláh has promised thus and His promise is true.

åÈâÏâWánãmå¯áÆ áÌå×ãÇãÂCé«ÂB â°á·åËáÖ Ù

áÅåÒáÖ áÉCáÆÛB áÀâÃáNåsáB áÑ

And I am asking for your protection against the Day

when apologizing of the wrongdoers will not do them

any good,

ãnBékÂB âAåÒâs åÈâÏá áÑ âUáËå¯éÃÂB åÈâÏáÂ

áÑ

and because of that they will be cursed and will be put in the evil abode (of Jahannam).

CæNå×áw èuå·áËã çuå·áÊ âÀãÃåÇáW ÙáÅåÒáÖ

áÉCáÆÛB áÀâÃáNåsáBáÑ

And I am asking for your protection against the Day when nobody will have control over

anybody,

ãÐäÃã èmãNáÆåÒáÖ

âoåÆÛB áÑ

and the power will belong to Alláh

(alone) that Day.

ãÐå×ãgáB åÌãÆ âAåoáÇåÂB êoã·áÖ áÅåÒáÖ áÉCáÆÛB

áÀâÃáNåsáB áÑãÐå×ãQáB áÑ ãÐëÆâB áÑ

And I am asking for your protection against the Day

when a person will run away from his brother, his

mother, his father,

ãÐå×ãËáQ áÑ ãÐãXáRãcCá{ áÑ

his wife and children.

ãÐå×ãËå³âÖ çÉåCáw èmãNáÆåÒáÖ

åÈâÏåËãÆ èLãoåÆB ëÄâ¿ãÂ

That Day every person will have what he has

earned for himself.

âÅãoå`âÇåÂB êjáÒáÖ áÅåÒáÖ áÉCáÆÛB áÀâÃáNåsáB áÑ

ãÐå×ãËáRãQ èmãNáÆåÒáÖ ãPBámá® åÌãÆ

åÕãkáXå·áÖ åÒáÂ

And I am asking for your protection against the Day when

the sinner would wish that he could ransom the wrath of Alláh descending on him at that time

with his children,

åØãXéÂB ãÐãXáÃå×ã|ᶠáÑ ãÐå×ãgáB áÑ

ãÐãXáRãcCá{ áÑãÐåÖãÑåKâW

his wife, his brother and his relatives who

gave him shelter,

ãÐå×ã`åËâÖ éÈâ[ Cæ¯å×ãÇá_

ã¡ånÛB åØ㶠åÌáÆ áÑ

and all those on earth, so that he be saved.

ÓÒéxÃã æUá®BéqáÊ Ôá«á CáÏéÊãB éÚá¾

No, never can he escape (the wrath of Alláh, which will be in the form of) burning fire, roasting him.

âkåRá¯åÂB CáÊáB áÑ ÔÂåÒáÇåÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆÔÂåÒáÇåÂB éÙãB ákåRá¯åÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑMy Lord, O my Lord, You are the Master and I am the slave, and who else can be merciful to the

slave except the Master?

â½åÒâÃåÇáÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ âÀãÂCáÇåÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâÀãÂCáÇåÂB éÙãB

á½åÒâÃåÇáÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Owner and I am the one owned

by You. Who else can be merciful to the owned except

the Owner?

âÄå×ãÂémÂB CáÊáB áÑ âqåÖãqá¯åÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâqåÖãqá¯åÂB éÙãB

áÄå×ãÂémÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are Mighty and I am low. Who else can be merciful to the

low except the Mighty?

â¹åÒâÃåháÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ â¼ãÂCáhåÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâ¼ãÂCáhåÂB éÙãB

â¹åÒâÃåháÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Creator and I am the

creature. Who else can be merciful to the creature

except the Creator?

âoå×ã»ádåÂB CáÊáB áÑ âÈå×ã«á¯åÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâÈå×ã«á¯åÂB éÙãB áoå×ã»ádåÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Glorious and I am the

miserable. Who else can be merciful to the miserable

except the Glorious?

â¸å×ã¯é£ÂB CáÊáB áÑ êÕãÒá»åÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆêÕãÒá»åÂB éÙãB á¸å×ã¯é£ÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Powerful and I am the

weak. Who else can be merciful to the weak except

the Powerful?

âoå×ã»á·åÂB CáÊáB áÑ êØãËá³åÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆêØãËá³åÂB éÙãB áoå×ã»á·åÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Wealthy and I am the

poor. Who else can be merciful to the poor except

the Wealthy?

âÄãMCétÂB CáÊáB áÑ Øã§å¯âÇåÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆØã§å¯âÇåÂB éÙãB áÄãMCétÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑMy Lord, O my Lord, You are the Bestower and I am the beggar. Who else can be merciful to the beggar except the Bestower?

âYë×áÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ êØádåÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆêØádåÂB éÙãB áYë×áÇåÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Living and I am the dead. Who else can be merciful to the dead

except the Living?

ØãÊCá·ÂB CáÊáB áÑ ØãºCáRåÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆØãºCáRåÂB éÙãB áØãÊCá·ÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑMy Lord, O my Lord, You are the Eternal and I am the transient. Who else can be merciful to the

transient except the Eternal?

âÄãMDäqÂB CáÊáB áÑ âÈãMDäkÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâÈãMDäkÂB éÙãB áÄãMDäqÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑMy Lord, O my Lord, You are the

Permanent and I am the short-lived. Who else can be merciful

to the short-lived except the Permanent?

¹åÑâpåoáÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ â¹ãpBéoÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâ¹ãpBéoÂB éÙãB

á¹åÑâpåoáÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Provider and I am the blessed. Who else can be merciful to the

blessed except the Provider?

âÄå×ãháRÂB CáÊáB áÑ âjBáÒá`åÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâjBáÒá`åÂB éÙãB

áÄå×ãháRÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Generous and I am the miser.

Who else can be merciful to the miser except the Generous?

ÔÃáXåRâÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ Øã¶Cá¯âÇåÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆØã¶Cá¯âÇåÂB éÙãB

ÔÃáXåRâÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Free and I am the afflicted.

Who else can be merciful to the afflicted except the Free?

âoå×ã³é|ÂB CáÊáB áÑ âoå×ãRá¿åÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâoå×ãRá¿åÂB éÙãB áoå×ã³é|

ÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑMy Lord, O my Lord, You are

the Great and I am the insignificant. Who else can

be merciful to the insignificant except the

Great?

êÁEä£ÂB CáÊáB áÑ ÕãjCáÏåÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ

áÕÙåÒáÆÕãjCáÏåÂB éÙãB éÁEä£ÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Leading and I am the

straying. Who else can be merciful to the straying

except the Leading?

âÅåÒâcåoáÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ âÌÇåcéoÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâÌÇåcéoÂB éÙãB

áÅåÒâcåoáÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Merciful and I am the one shown mercy. Who else can be merciful to the one shown mercy except the Merciful?

âÌádáXåÇâÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ âÉCá§åÃêtÂB áYåÊáB

áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâÉCá§åÃêtÂB éÙãB

áÌádáXåÇâÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Authority and I am

the tried. Who else can be merciful to the tried except the Authority?

âoë×ádáXâÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ âÄå×ãÂékÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâÄå×ãÂékÂB éÙãB

áoë×ádáXâÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Guide and I am the confused.

Who else can be merciful to the confused except the Guide?

âSãÊåmâÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ ânåÒâ·á³åÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆânåÒâ·á³åÂB éÙãB

áSãÊåmâÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Forgiver and I am the sinner.

Who else can be merciful to the sinner except the Forgiver?

âPåÒâÃå³áÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ âSãÂCá³åÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâSãÂCá³åÂB éÙãB

áPåÒâÃå³áÇåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Victor and I am the defeated.

Who else can be merciful to the defeated except the Victor?

âPåÒâQåoáÇåÂB CáÊáB áÑ êPéoÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ

CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆêPéoÂB éÙãB áPåÒâQåoáÇåÂB

âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑMy Lord, O my Lord, You are the

Nourisher and I am the nourished. Who else can be

merciful to the nourished except the Nourisher?

â°ãwCáhåÂB CáÊáB áÑ âoëRá¿áXâÇåÂB áYåÊáB áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ áÕÙåÒáÆâoëRá¿áXâÇåÂB éÙãB

á°ãwCáhåÂB âÈácåoáÖ åÄáÎ áÑ

My Lord, O my Lord, You are the High-handed and I am the humble. Who else can be

merciful to the humble except the High-handed?

áÀãXáÇåcáoãQ ØãËåÇácånãB áÕÙåÒáÆ CáÖ

áÕÙåÒáÆ

My Lord, O my Lord, have mercy on me by

Your Kindness,

áÀãÃå£á¶ áÑ áÀãÆáoá¾ áÑ á½ãjåÒâ`ãQ ØëËá®

á¡ånB áÑ

and be pleased with me by Your Generosity and Your Magnanimity and

Your Grace.

ãÉCáËãXåÆßB áÑ ãÁåÒé§ÂB áÑ ãÉCátåcßB

áÑ ãjåÒâ`åÂB BálCáÖ

O the Generous, and Beneficent, O the Almighty and the

Benefactor,

áÌå×ãÇãcBéoÂB áÈácånáB CáÖ áÀãXáÇåcáoãQ

by Your Mercy, O the Most Kind.
