    Introduction & Brief On The Fund

    Norrenberger Finance and Capital Manage-ment Limited (“Norrenberger”) is duly authorized and registered with the Securi-ties and exchange Commission (SEC) as a Fund and Asset Manager.

    The Norrenberger Halal Fund is governed by a Trust Deed as a discretionary open ended collective investment Fund.

    The Fund invests strictly in Shari’ah compli-ant �xed income instruments and contracts. Given the open-ended nature of the Fund, the Fund Manager will continu-ously o�er and redeem units throughout the life of the Fund.

    The Fund Manager shall be responsible for the operations of the Fund and shall e�ect such operations in accordance with the provisions of the Trust Deed.

    Introduction & Brief On The Fund

    The overall primary objective of this Fund is to generate competitive returns on investment in Shari’ah Compliant manner whilst ensuring capital preservation. This objective will be realized through investments in a carefully selected and well diversi�ed portfolio of Shari’ah compliant �xed income instruments and products while leveraging on the bargaining power from pooling funds to earn competitive returns.

    Features

    • The fund is an open ended discretionary fund

    • The fund minimum opening investment is N1 million

    • Minimum opening investment tenor will be 90 days from allotment

    • The fund will be supervised in accordance with Shari’ah law

    • The fund can earn up to 20%p.a.

    • The fund’s activities are supervised by a Shari’ah board made up of seasoned islamic personalities.

    AssetsClasses

    • Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign Sukuk: Sukuk are certi�cates of equal value representing undivided shares in the

    ownership of tangible assets, usufructs and services or (in the

    ownership of) the assets of particular projects or special

    investment activity and entitle the holder to the receipt of

    periodic returns derived from the underlying asset. Sovereign and

    sub-sovereign Sukuk are Shari’ah-compliant certi�cates issued by

    the Federal Government or its agencies (national/sovereign) or

    States or their agencies (sub-national/sub-sovereign).

    The Fund shall invest in Shari’ah-compliant fixed income instruments. The permissible asset classes within the Fund are as follows:

    • Corporate Sukuk: These are sukuk issued by rated corporate national or supranational, local or international

    organisations and multinationals.

    • Shari’ah-Compliant Fixed Term Investments: These are term investments with reputable �nancial institutions

    based on the Islamic contracts of, Murabaha (cost-plus

    �nancing), or other Islamic �nancial contract structures. The

    Fund may use the instrument of Murabaha line of credit with

    reputable �nancial houses, Islamic or conventional. The

    investment outlet by the �nancial institution would be in

    trusted businesses with proven track record of certain yields. • Shari’ah-Compliant Fixed Term Investments: These are term investments with reputable �nancial institutions based

    on the Islamic contracts of, Murabaha (cost-plus �nancing), or other

    Islamic �nancial contract structures. The Fund may

    use the instrument of Murabaha line of credit with reputable �nancial

    houses, Islamic or conventional. The investment outlet by the �nancial

    institution would be in trusted businesses with proven track record of

    certain yields.

    • Murabaha (cost-plus financing) Contracts: Murabaha contracts are stable return contracts based on known and

    predetermined pro�t between the buyer and the seller. The Fund

    will enter into an agreement for the purchase and sale of certain

    compliant assets at an agreed mark-up price, with a deferred

    payment agreement.

    • Ijarah (lease) Contracts: These are contracts for the lease of certain compliant assets to customers. Each customer will pay an

    agreed rent to the Fund for the use of the asset over a speci�c period

    and will also undertake to buy the asset itself gradually.
