100th Year Anniversary of Fatima Mass will be celebrated at 900 AM
every First Saturday in the Back Mountain from June through October
Saturday September 2 - St Therese Shavertown Saturday October 7 - St Frances Cabr ini Wyoming The First Saturday Devotion was requested by the Virgin Mary in an apparition to Lucia of Fatima at Pontevedra Spain in December 1925 The faithful are encouraged to receive the Sacra-ment of Reconciliation and Holy Communion as well as pray the Rosary in order to receive the full benefit of this Devotion

Can you imagine being taken from your home and having to carry all of your posses-sions in a garbage bag This is the reality for many chil-dren in foster homes today
Two of our young parishioners Shelby Pocono and Julia Phillips are working on their Silver Award Project for Girl Scouts and are trying to improve this situation by making first night kits for CASA an organization that places these children into foster care We are looking for donations of gently used suit-cases or large duffel bags along with personal-sized throw blankets We will be collecting these items after all masses on the weekend of August 26-27 in Father Sammons Hall Your donation can go a long way in the lives of children in foster care Please feel free to contact Shelby Pocono at (570)-696-2000 with any ques-tions or concerns Thank you
