THE PERSON Criteria Essential / Desirable Method of Assessment Qualification Level 2 or 3 standard of education (e.g. GCSE or A-level) or equivalent experience. E Holds a relevant applications solution- specific professional qualification(s) or equivalent experience e.g. MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate. E Has a current (V3) ITIL Foundation qualification. E Knowledge & Experience Application solution-specific experience across any industry E Appreciates the wider field of information systems, and how own role relates to other roles and to the Service. E Experience of analysing and interpreting information to develop solutions or solve problems. E Knowledge of the broader activities of Essex Fire & Rescue Service and working with Trade Unions. D Skills & Abilities Ability to identify and resolve underlying problems and ensure the necessary changes are implemented successfully. E Capable of keeping up to date with industry technologies to evaluate and recommend products for future implementation. E Able to monitor and evaluate procedures/processes to recommend improvements and implement them where necessary. E Able to absorb new information and apply it effectively.
