IoT business is expected to grow at a CAGR* of 28% between 2015-2020.
Discover how you can benefi t.
The number of Internet connected devices (12.5 billion)
surpassed the number of human beings (7 billion) on the planet
in 2011, and by 2020, Internet connected devices are expected
to number between 26 billion and 50 billion globally.
Understanding ‘India’rnet of things
One of the most important technologies that will connect all sectors will be the Internet of Things (IoT). With 1.9bn devices expected to be connected in India alone, by 2023, IoT and related technologies assume relevance of signifi cant proportions. Across sectors we will see energy, power grids, vehicles, homes, entire cities and
manufacturing fl oors, computers and mobile devices being connected.
Relatively nascent nature of the phenomenon brings with it the various challenges like technology silos & protocol multiplicity, security and social dynamics which makes a clear case for collaborative approach in implementation.
To accelerate the adoption of IoT and to bring a concerted and result – oriented approach in the fragmented IoT space, IET India constituted the India IoT Panel to play the role of a neutral, credible commentator in the IoT space.
The panel, being a fi rst of its kind in India, focuses not only on technology but the application aspect of IoT in various segments. The IET India IoT panel will be guided by a Global Advisory Body.
The focus is to facilitate discussions that will help in making the inevitable
connected world more effi cient, smart, innovative and safe. It will focus on technology, security and regulatory concerns and the need for nurturing capabilities and talent for a quicker adoption of IoT in all spheres.
It aims to enable all the IoT practitioners (including people from the hardware – devices, portables, sensors, software, business) and IoT enablers (including people from regulatory and training areas, investors in IoT, end users) to work together on relevant areas to make this industry effi cient as well as robust.
Preparing India for IoT
IoT India Congress 2017 is the Platform of Platforms for empowering business outcomes using the Internet of Things. Beyond cutting edge knowledge sharing, this is the only platform that can readily impact businesses / revenues not only for the entire ecosystem of technology business beginning from chip manufacturers, gateway providers, telecom operators, system integrators, IoT platform and solution providers but also those segments / user communities who might not yet look at IoT as a business game changer for them.
We bring together end-to-end ecosystem of the Internet of Things - to work with each other and speed the IoT movement in India. The platform achieves this through CEO meets, product & solutions discovery for SMEs, funding opportunities and mentorships for start-ups and academic projects, idea discovery avenues for VCs and incubators and policy inputs for government agencies.
Our awards recognise thought leaders in the IoT space as well as start-ups doing excellent work. It is also the place to see the
future technologies like Artifi cial Intelligence, Virtual and Immersive Reality in action.
Relevant Government departments, Industry associations and professional bodies in these spaces have already pledged support to this platform. The deliberations from this event will serve as policy and position papers to the government, potentially impacting policy decisions pertaining to IoT.
If you would like to be a part of the 4th Industrial Revolution and take advantage of it, you cannot give this forum a miss.
A platform-of-platforms to bring together the key stakeholders

FOCUSED ON BUSINESS
With 1.9bn devices expected to be connected in India alone, by 2023, IoT India Congress and related technologies assume relevance of signifi cant proportions. Across sectors we will see energy, power grids, vehicles, homes, entire cities and manufacturing fl oors, computers and mobile devices being connected.
IoT India Congress 2017 focuses on the business outcomes that will power these changes in mainstream and largescale adoption of IoT. To enable this, IoT India Congress 2017 has conceptualised a few initiatives which will set in motion, a set of engagements that will hopefully culminate in strengthening the ecosystem by birding technology with opportunity and bring together vast numbers of uninitiated into discovering the power of IoT that can make transformational changes.
Empowering business through IoT

CEO Meets SME Meets Argonaut | Startup + Investor Meets
IoT India Congress will feature an interface program in which CEOs of organisations who would like to adopt IoT based solutions and technology into their existing businesses, or look at greenfi eld opportunities, will be offered focused interaction, presentation and demonstration sessions by heads of key IoT technology and solution providers. These sessions would provide valuable macro, executive level insights into the business of IoT and the opportunities and transformational possiblities so that business owners can take informed decisions on solutions and strategy to be pursued based on their own vision and needs.
SMEs are the backbone of the Indian Industrial Infrastructure. They are the vital cogs in the big Indian industrial machine and hence one of the critical components of the IoT adoption ecosystem. The SME meet will provide small business owners deep insights on how IoT can transform and align their business to modern practices, technological changes and maximise their systems in the times of super optimal productivity.
This provides the much needed interface for new ideas to meet required capital and investments. This brings together startups pitching ideas and concepts seeking investments to scale up or to a set of willing investors and companies who are on the lookout for new ideas to expand their businesses into or derive synergies from a technology partnership to strategically augment to their portfolio of IoT products.
