AS-i 3.0 Master/Scanner for Rockwell Automation ControlLogix/CompactLogix/MicrologixThe Bihl+Wiedemann AS-i Master allows connecting an AS-i network to a ControlLogix, a CompactLogix or a MicroLogix 1500. The set up is carried out in a fast and easy way via Add-on-Profiles. Utilizing AOPs provided by Bihl+Wiedemann, AS-i I/O data and status information are mapped into the PLC processor’s I/O data. Additional Add-on-Instructions copy the data into more simple structures for easier understanding. Diagnostics that go far beyond the standard diagnostics facilitate the simple detection of any possible configuration errors and further issues in the AS-i communication. The diagnostics also allow preventive maintenance and in case of an error the down time of machines can be minimized.
AS-Interface GatewaysBy using the AS-i Gateways from Bihl+Wiedemann, you can transmit digital and analog data, that has been read remotely through AS-i Slaves to the host controller and send the output signals from the host controller to the actuators over the respective bus system. The Gateways communicate according to the AS-i 3.0 standard, and therefore ensure optimal data exchange. They are easily and quickly installed and commisioned using AOPs as well. The user benefits from a wide variety of included diagnostic functions such as duplicate address detection, ground protection and EMC monitoring.
Safety MonitorBihl+Wiedemann provides Gateways with integrated Safety Monitor and interfaces for the most commonly used automation systems. This presents the most efficient method for safely constructing sytems requiring an easy and simple wiring. Employing our “Safe Link”, a technology to connect multiple Gateways safely over Ethernet, even large applications with up to 1922 safety I/Os can be implemented.
