EPOS – relevant issues

- Get the support letter from each national government or funding agency

- Identify the Research Infrastructures we are going to integrate in EPOS (in this phase let’s start with a robust backbone with a realistic implementation plan)

- Start writing WP & Tasks descriptions (i.e., the PP Proposal)

- Optimize Deliverables and identify Milestones (GANTT diagrams and timing)

- Identify a preliminary Management Core Group

Future Actions• October 3rd – Definition of WP leaders and

task’s assignments• October 31st – deadline for sending

contributions to coordinator: WP & Task description, person/months,

• November 10th Definition of partners and associated partners. A2 forms, support letters, .....

• November 12 – first draft of complete pp proposal

• December 3rd 2009: pp proposal submission

Management EPOS governance structure

EPOS Board, with representatives of each financially contributing country. The Board appoints the management and oversees the infrastructure operations. It will promote the participation of other countries as well as will consider proposals to join EPOS guaranteeing open and transparent access mechanisms

EPOS Council, with representatives of the major scientific networks involved

EPOS Provider’s & User’s commission with representatives of interested European countries. It will support the management of the RI to promote open access to all the interested users
