You arecoming in the country that has about 4 millionpeople of different religious and nationalbackgrounds, consisting of two entities (theFederation of B&H and the Republic of Srpska)and the Brčko District of B&H.

There are are many great sport �shingevents behind us such as 27th World ClubFishing Championship (2007), held in Čapljina –Hutovo Blato (Federation of Bosnia andHerzegovina), 16th European Fly FishingChampionship (2010), held in city of Banja Luka(Republic of Srpska), as well as 15th WorldFishing Championship for the Disabled and 6thWorld Cup Championship for Veterans (2013),held in the city of Čapljina-Karaotok (Federationof Bosnia and Herzegovina). All mentionedevents were successfully organized and widelypraised by major of�cials and many sport �shingassociations. DESCRIPTIONS OF COMPETITION VENUESThe upcoming 35th World Fly Fishing Championship will be held on four rivers and one lake.

The competition venues cover a length of 6000 meters, and competitors start places are long about 180meters with an interspace of 10 meters from the left and from the right sides of the competitors.

It is allowed to �sh all kinds of �sh represented with the minimum lenght of 20 centimeters. Thecompetition is organized in full compliance with the rules and propositions of FIPS MOUCHEFEDERATION. It is alowed to use all �shing techniques with the hook without counter-hooks,aggravation larger than allowed hid in �ies – nymphs, and caught �sh are drawn with the landing net(meredov).

Selected practice venues are on the Pliva Lakes, the Pliva River and the Vrbas River.Substitute practice venue (I training) is on the Sana River in the city of Kjuč.

We expect a good weather conditions during the competition, temperature ranging from 17 to 22Celsius degrees and favorable water level of rivers.

1. Competition venue- Pliva RiverSector I „A“ ŠIPOVO

This competition venue is located on the Pliva River in Šipovo about 30 kilometers away from thecity of jajce.

The river is quite fast in the upper course and in some places the depths ranges is from 2-3 meters.In this part, it is best to use the nymph for �shing , while the river is a little wider and slower in the lowerpart.

This river is inhabitated with all kinds of salmonid �sh, but the competition venue is dominatedby grayling .(Thymallus – thimallus Linnaeus)

2. Competition venue - Sana RiverSector II “B” RIBNIK

This competition venue is located on the Sana River at the place called Ribnik, downstream fromthe mouth of the Ribnik River to the town of Ključ.

The width of the river is 25-30 meters, and the length is about 1-2 kilometers.The river is inhabited with grayling , brown trout(Thymallus- thimallus Linnaeus) (Salmo

trutta m. fario Linnaeus) (Hucho-hucho Linnaeus), salmon , and cyprinidal �sh species, of which themost dominant is chub and barbel , and has a very(Leuciscus cephahus) (Barbus Barbus Linnaeus)small quantity of the rainbow trout .(Oncorhynchus mykiss Walbaum)

The 16th European Fly Fishing Championship took place on this competition venue.

3. Competition venue – Sanica RiverSector III „C“ KLJUČ

It is the same as the previous competition venue (Sana River), the 16th European Fly FishingChampionship also took place on this competition venue.

This competition venue is the farthest from the city of Jajce (85 kilometers).The width of the Sanica River is 25-30 meters with an average depth of 1 meter.The Sanica River is very rich in grayling , brown trout(Thymallus-Thimallus Linnaeus) (Salmo

trutta m. Fario Linnaeus) (Hucho-hucho Linnaeus)and salmon , chub in the lower part of the sector(Leuciscus cephahus) (Esox Lucius)and pike .The dominant species for the most parts of this sector is grayling.

4. Competition venue – the Pliva LakesSector IV “D” JAJCE

This competiton venue is located an a beautiful and natural Pliva Lakes, 7 kilometers away fromthe city of Jajce. The Pliva Lakes are about 3500 meters long, and the competition venue begins from themouth of the Pliva River where it �ows into the Pliva Lakes. The width of the lakes on the competitionvenue is 300-400 meters and the depth of lake is up to 30 meters in some places, while the depth is 6-8meters in the �shing sector.

This lake is inhabitated with the following species of �sh: brown trout (Salmo trutta m. FarioLinnaeus) (Onorhynchus Mykiss Walbaum) (Salmo Trutta m.lacustris, grayling and lake troutLinnaeus) (Ciprinus carpio) (Esox Lucius ) (Tinca Tinca), and cyprinid species carp , pike and tench .

The competitors on this competition venue strictly �sh from a boat moving along a markedsector. The best results at the 16th European Fly Fishing Championship were achived with a streamer(strimer) in three versions on a one rod (imitation maggots, the leeches and litle �sh).

5. Competition venue - Vrbas RiverSector V „E“ Donji Vakuf

This competition venue is located on the Vrbas River, downstream of the city of Donji Vakuf,about 40 kilometers away from the city of Jajce.

The lenght of the competition venue is about 6 kilometers, width 25-30 meters, with an averagedepth of 1-2 meters or 3 meters in some places.

The most common species along entire sector is grayling . The(Thymallus thymallus Linnaeus)best way to catch grayling is to use a nymph and dry �y. The Vrbas River is also rich in brown trout(Salmo trutta m.fario Linnaeus) (Hucho-hucho Linnaeus), salmon and cyprinid, while the mostdominant species is chub .(Leuciscus cephahus)

Substitute venue –Sana River – Ključ

A substitute venue is located on the Sana River downstream from the city of Ključ, about 65kilometers away from the city of Jajce.

Characteristics of this venue are almoust same as the characteristics of competition venue fromSector II B (because it is located on the same river).

This competition venue was also a substitute venue for 10th European Championship which washeld in 2010.

Training venues

1. 1st training venue on the Pliva River is located 300 meters downstream from the startingnumber „A“ – 30, Sector I „A“ Šipovo. In this part, the Pliva River is wider, and an average depth is 3meters. It is best to �sh using nymphs and dry �ies.

2. 2nd training venue is located near to the venue in Sector 4 „D“ – the Pliva Lakes –Jajce and hasall the characteristics of the competition venue.

3. 3rd training venue is on the Vrbas River downstream from the venue of the Sector 5 „E“ – DonjiVakuf. The characteristics of this venue are the same as those of the 2nd training venue.

The Turist Hotel 98 is located in the charming medieval city of Jajce widely known by its richhistory and historical heritage. It is an urban and amenity-rich hotel.

There are also facilities for a comfortable accommodation for travelers and diferent kind ofrecreational activities, and also for those who are just passing through.
