That is why for Men’s Health Month (June), we are encouraging men to incorporate healthy practices into their lives. 1. Go to the Doctor - Men make ½ as many physician visits for prevention as women on a yearly basis. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Knowing when aches and pains are something to keep a close eye on will help you look and feel better and live longer. If you don’t have a primary care doctor, consider using a local health clinic as an affordable option. 2. Follow Safety Rules on the Job – Tough men often feel invincible and therefore take a lot more risks while at work. This leads to more accidents on the job. Take all precautions necessary to ensure you and others are not hurt because of this attitude. 3. Drink Water Often & Try New Vegetables – If you’re a meat and potatoes kind of guy, there’s nothing wrong with adding a tasty green side of spinach, broccoli or even a small bowl of lettuce to your meals. Over time, your heart, hairline, waistline, and the ladies will thank you. Don’t Forget The $10 for 10 Challenge is still underway Back in April, STAR began a savings challenge among our employees. To participate in the program, save at least $10 every pay period for the next 10 pay periods and you could win a prize. To track your progress take a picture / provide proof of $10 deposit into your savings account every 1st and 15th. Participation is voluntary but highly encouraged. CEO CORNER I love the STAR men on my team. You are hard working, reliable, brave and a ton of fun to be around. To all the daddies and father figures among us, I send a special Happy Father’s Day & Men’s Health Month! Summer Fun Ideas

Remember when we begged for the sun to come out? With the official first day of summer beginning June 21, there’s no time like today to enjoy some fun in the sun. Besides brunching with friends, here are some other activities to enjoy in the sunshine, shade, or indoors:

• Walking • Bowling • Skating • Pick up basketball • Pick up soccer • Flag football • Frisbee • Bicycling • Hiking • Singing karaoke • Outdoor movie nights

WE SHINE BRIGHT “My relationship with STAR has been exceptional. Over the years I have worked with a variety of staffing agencies, and without question STAR is the most dedicated to ensuring that [the job gets done right].””

Kenneth Clark, a Kimpton Hotels Manager

Dads Are STARs Every Day Our fathers provide half of our genetic makeup. We probably have them to thank for our eyes, smiles, taste in music or height. But above all dear old dad shapes our idea of what an everyday hero can achieve. Our relationship with our father plays a huge part of who we will become. And even if our biological dad’s aren’t in our lives for different reasons, father figures selflessly play as important a role in raising children as mothers. And with that we say Happy Father’s Day to our dearest STAR papas.
