Impact-Based Warnings• Demonstration project in 2012

• Focused on improved communication of risk so that decision makers have better information from which to work

• Use of “tags” within the warnings make key information easier to find and enhance Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) messages

Integrated Warning Team Workshops• Goal is to foster better

teamwork amongst emergency managers, broadcast meteorologists, and NWS during high-impact weather and water events

• NOAA Central Region sponsors 2 workshops a year across the region
