Location!!!

• The Rehmeyers work in the Kudvumisa Foundation located in Swaziland.

• “Kudvumisa” means to praise in siSwati (the language of Swaziland)

• They primarily live in the capitol city of Swaziland, Mbabane.

IT IS NOT ENOUGH!!!

• “It is not enough to just provide HIV testing services in impoverished communities.  It is essential to provide Christ centered compassionate care and provide a means to manage access to health care in these communities.  Our staff continuously pushes the boundaries of who and where we can help, to allow even more people to receive lifesaving care.”

HIV and Poverty

• HIV- human immunodeficiency virus, a retrovirus that causes AIDS.

• AIDS- a disease in which there is a severe loss of the body's cellular immunity, greatly lowering the resistance to infection, sickness, and cancer.

• POVERTY- the state of being extremely poor

When Did They Start?

• Daran and Teresa have served in Swaziland since 2005.

What Do They Do?

• The Kudvumisa Foundation helps to heal and save people in Swaziland suffering from poverty and HIV with a Godly spirit.

• The Kudvumisa Foundation, based in Swaziland, is dedicated to providing quality, compassionate health care and empowering the disenfranchised to escape the grip of crushing poverty in the impoverished, marginalized, and isolated communities of Swaziland.

• They are committed to seeing this generation of children grow and develop to their maximum potential, without the bondage of poverty and HIV.

• Swaziland is the country with the highest HIV infection rate in the world.

• Outreach in Swaziland began under Kudvumisa Trust in 2008 with CHIPS (Children’s HIV Intervention Programme in Swaziland)

Prayer Requests!

• Please pray for the Rehmeyers to have grace to be effective working in a culture opposite of where we come from and to reflect Christ in all they do.  And then continued provision to complete the work they’ve started!

Daran and Teresa continue with the vision

of providing compassionate health

care to these impoverished and

isolated areas while also developing the means for individuals to escape the grip of poverty. They also

continue to share the Word of God to the

people of Swaziland.
