“flying wing to wing.” On July 4, high purity of benzene and toluene were

piped into a tank, marking successful commissioning after the first test run of 120,000 tons/year pyrolysis naphtha hydrogenation and 80,000 tons/year aromatics extraction units. Now the CPP unit not only can produce olefins, but also can produce aromatics!

So far, the 120,000 tons/year pyrolysis naphtha

hydrogenation and 80,000 tons/year aromatics extraction units have run stably for one month, and the yields of benzene, toluene and other products have reached the design standards. Now, on the basis of double means of production of olefins – from catalytic pyrolysis of heavy oil residue and from traditional naphtha cracking – the downstream product chain of the CPP unit continuously extends the olefin products chain and opens up the aromatics product chain. The cracked naphtha which originally was sold at low prices, is now processed into higher value-added products here, which basically realizes the original intention of the CPP project – making “full” use of the crude oil resources.

In recent days, the most important operation of equipment in the chlorine processing device in the new ion-exchange membrane expansion project

in Xinghuo Plant – the chlorine compressor – is now in the commissioning of single machine, which also signifies that the 50,000 t/a ion-exchange membrane expansion project in Xinghuo Plant has entered into a comprehensive commissioning phase.

The ion-exchange membrane expansion project with an annual output of 50,000 tons was a set of newly-built membrane caustic soda plant, which was built according to the needs of the 200,000 t/a organic silicon upstream facility expansion and reconstruction project. It uses the state-of-the-art membrane distance bipolar electrolyzer with natural circulation, which is technologically advanced, energy efficient and environmentally friendly, and improves production efficiency.

Since the device was put into operation, the annual

production of ionic membrane caustic soda in Xinghuo Plant has reportedly increased from 70,000 tons to 120,000 tons.

A wolf is howling at the moon; a wild horse is galloping in the wilderness; a fox is foraging

hard; a flock of crows are collecting forage; a rabbit is pacing a race on the greyhound track; a sheepdog is wandering around aimlessly ... these are real animals, not those characters dressed in animal costumes in cartoons, who only express human emotions and personalities with animal actions. Seton’s characters live in nature, and they are constantly struggling with their enemies in order to survive. They live with us in the same world, and we are all the creatures of the Earth, and we all have noble self-esteem and great emotion.

The animals created by Seton are generally strong and extraordinarily talented individuals, who all have a wise mind and powerful physique but are not barbaric, and they are born leaders: The resourceful wolf king Lobo; the powerful and strong bighorn sheep king Lishi; the sleek and perfect horse king Black Mustang; the smartest, bravest and strongest crow Silver Spot; the most sturdy and beautiful grouse Red Collar...

But they all have a similar tragedy: None of the wild

animals die of old age, and the key is how long they can live and struggle with their enemies? Each animal seems to have a similar tragic story.

Lobo would not escape alone after his companion was killed and died of grief after being captured; Lishi went through numerous risks in his splendid l i fe and was ki l led with tr icks and died with a grievance; Black Mustang lost freedom, and finally committed suicide by jumping from a cliff; Silver Spot was attacked at midnight by owls, and died with his body broken...

The author did not simply want us to see these tragedies and make us feel touched and weep for these dead animals, but wanted us to understand what the dignity of life is.

The human has the dignity, what about the animal? A gentleman prefers death to humiliation! We have deprived animals of their freedom and snatched their lives, should we even take their dignity away?

This scenic spot is located at the region of Manjuelong Village and before the Stone House Hole. Manjuelong, commonly known

as Manjianong, abounded in osmanthus and is famous scenic spot for appreciating osmanthus of the West Lake.

During the time of Hangzhou falling into enemy’s

hands in the Anti-Japanese War, a lot of osmanthus trees were cut down, only several old osmanthus trees around the houses of a few farmers were left. After the victory of Anti-Japanese War, some of them were slightly restored. After 1950, a new batch of osmanthus trees is planted, and the number of the osmanthus trees together with the old ones reaches ten thousand around 1955. The oldest tree of them is of about 200 years, and in the year of full bloom, the biggest plant can yield one dan of osmanthus, which has become an important economic income for the local villagers.

It falls on the days with heavy dew when they are in full bloom, the flower often falls with the wind and is as fine as rain drop. People can be immersed in the osmanthus rain and its fragrance when walking in the clusters of osmanthus trees, which is of a unique interest and charm.
