As a maiden effort, the students ofBBPSRH, participated in the OnlineNational Mathematics Contest- “Clash ofPi”in May 2018.

250 schools participated in the contest.BBPSRH bagged All India Rank 6 andTisshya Sharma and Utkarsh Mittal ofClass VIII secured All India Rank 12.

In the ‘Clash of Pi’ contest held in June2018, School bagged All India Rank 8.Hiya Trehan , VII-A secured Rank 9 andSamarth Chawla , IX B secured Rank 12at All India Level.

The beginning of the new session on 2 April

2018 was marked with Satrarambh. The

Principal, staff and the students attended the

Havan ceremony, chanted the hymns and

negative and untoward energies.

Annual Day on 21 April 2018 with great zeal and

fervour. Renowned Bharatanatyam exponent,

Guest of Honour.

school orchestra presented a musical web ‘Fustrashia’.

Cards’, an iconic masterpiece written by Noble Laureate

Rabindranath Tagore and Rustic Rhythms- a composition

of folk dances.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

BBPSRH organized 22nd Investiture Ceremony on 19 July

2017 for Middle & Senior Department. Mr. Aman Mittal,

IRS, Asst. Commissioner and alumnus, BBPS RH (2006)

was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme

included felicitation of members of the Student Council of

session 2017-18.

The prefects and office bearers of newly inducted Student

Council received their badges and took Oath to abide by

the Rules and Regulations of the school.

The former Head Girl, Yashaswini Singh Chauhan, XII B

apprised the audience with projects and campaigns

undertaken in the previous session and her experience

as a leader.

A team of three teachers and 30 students visited the

partner school, Sct Knuds Gymnasium, Odense,

Denmark from 12 to 26 May 2018. The delegation

was involved in multiple experiential activities like taking

Hans Christian Anderson city walk, converting Danish

fairy tales to small movies, class room observations,

watching Soccer Tournament between two Danish cities

etc.

The exchange program and host stay experience gave

Indian students an opportunity to understand the Danish

culture. In Denmark, the Indian students also celebrated

India Day to apprise the Danish students about the rich

cultural heritage of India.

A group of six Students along with Ms.Bindu Rashmi,

TGT Computers visited NASA from 09 to 20 June 2018.

The students visited the Kennedy Space Center (KSC)

visitors’ complex in Florida USA.

They came across the complete journey of Space

shuttleAtlantis, experienced zero gravity phenomenon

inSpace Shuttle Simulation, visited Rock Garden and

Science on Sphere and participated in the ATX

(Astronaut Training Experience) program.

The other highlights were the tour of Adventure Island,

DisneyLand, Niagara Falls, Statue of Liberty and One

World Observatory.

NEW INITIATIVES

BBPS RH organized the 3Fs –Fitness, Finesse and

Fluency Summer Camp for students of Classes PP II and

I to V from 14 May to 30 May 2018. The Summer Camp

was conducted with a view to engage the learners in

different activities combining creativity, sporting spirit and

interest to make learning an altogether novel experience.

Apart from fitness tasks the students were involved in

English Conversation , Creative Writing , Magic Tricks ,

Gardening, Magic Tricks with Science, Cooking Without

Fire , Etiquettes, Theatre , Story Telling , Calligraphic

Strokes , Art and Craft , Clay Modelling and Dance.

Certificates of Participation were awarded to all the

participants on the last day in a Grand Party celebration.

Yog Yatra, an initiative of CES in association with Mokshyatan Yog

Sansthan (MYS) was launched on 19 May 2018 at BBPS GRH as

part of the Community Outreach Programme. The ceremony saw the

glittering presence of luminaries from CES, BOM, principals, staff

and students of Bal Bharati schools. The benign presence of

Padamshree Yogaguru Bharat Bhushan Ji, founder MYS, was

spiritually elevating. He addressed the gathering with his illuminating

words. Mr. Kanechoro Tokfoku ,World bank and Dr Ishwarachrya ,

Director,Central Council of Research in Yoga and Naturopathy were

other eminent guests who graced the event. In the vibrant cultural

presentations, the students of BBPS units depicted the deep rooted

essence of Yoga in Indian Culture. The ceremony culminated into the

signing of MoU between CES and the MYS, successfully flagging off

Yog Yatra Programme in Bal Bharati schools.

The yoga sessions have commenced successfully at all BBPS Units

in Delhi/NCR from 7 July 2018.The sessions, free for all, will be held

every Saturday and Sunday by resource persons from MYS.

Application of BBPS RH for the license to run

TED Ed Club in the school was approved on

1st April 2018. 60 students have been enrolled in

the club and the Launch ceremony of club was

held on 18 May 2018. Apart from other items, the

cultural programme comprised of recitation of

TED Ed Club’s self-composed anthem. The

students were oriented about the explorations

and the tasks included in the club. It is expected

that the activities will help students identify the

idea they are passionate about, develop public

speaking skills and connect with network of over

3000 TED Ed clubs all over the world.
