Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 8

Revelation 19:1-10 [KJV][1] And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: [2] For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. [3] And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. [4] And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. [5] And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. [6] And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. [7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. [8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. [9] And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. [10] And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 19:9-16 [KJV]

[11] And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. [12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon whitehorses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 10

Revelation 19:17-21 [KJV][17] And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; [18] That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. [19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

[20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

The Return Sequence• The believing Remnant having sought refuge from Antichrist in Edom will pray and

seek for Jesus return Hosea 5:15 Then I will go back to my place until they admit their guilt.

And they will seek my face; in their misery they will earnestly seek me."• He will return by rescuing the Remnant and defeating His enemies

Isaiah 63:1-4 Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson?

Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength?"It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save."

[2] Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress?[3] "I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath;their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.[4] For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption has come.

• He will then return to Jerusalem over the Mount of Olives• He will enter the city via the Temple Mount through the Golden Gate

Zech. 14:4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 12

Golden Gate Photo

The Eastern Gate ("Gate of the Place of Sunrise") aka Golden Gate was the main entrance to both Old and New Testament Jerusalem. It is the oldest and most famous gate of the city, leading

directly to the Temple. It was through this gate that God left the Temple due to Israel’s sinning as described by Ezekiel. Jesus went through here during His triumphal entry and out this gate on His

way to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. It has been “permanently sealed” since 1541.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 13

Golden Gate Photo / HistoryThe Eastern Gate of Jerusalem or The Golden Gate, as it is called in Christian literature, is located in the middle of the east side of the Temple Mount and is the oldest of the

current gates in Jerusalem's Old City Walls.

Jews would pray for mercy at the gate, thus the name Sha'ar Harachamim, the Gate of Mercy.

In Arabic, it is known as the Gate of Eternal Life. In ancient times, it was known as the Beautiful Gate.

Ottoman Sultan Suleiman I sealed off the Golden Gate in 1541, to prevent the Messiah's entrance into Jerusalem at

His coming, but in doing so the Muslims unwittingly fulfilled the first part of a prophecy in Ezekiel.

The Muslims also built a cemetery in front of the gate so that Elijah, expected to return as the forerunner of the

Jewish Messiah, would not be able to pass through the gate either since he is a Kohen - of the priestly line.

Ezekiel 44:1-3 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut. 2 Then said the LORD unto me;

This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. 3 It

is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of

the same. The rest of the prophecy will be fulfilled when the Prince,

Messiah Jesus, enters the Temple Mount through this gate, this time to rule forever.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 14

Revelation 19:1 The multitude of much people

Two groups identified as multitudes have been found in heaven thus far.The martyrs - Rev 7:9The angels - Rev 5:11

This “great voice of much multitude” (Lit.) could be either or both. These together with the elect – the Righteous out of the Old Testament and the Church Age - speak out (note: not sing) God’s praise !!

Note: Scripture never presents angels singing … only Hallmark and Christmas Carols do that.

In scripture only men and women are ever presented as singing…

[1] And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

“Rejoice over her” was commanded when Babylon fell (18:20). Believers are forbidden to avenge themselves (Rom 12:19)

We rejoice over the salvation of sinners – We will rejoice at the punishment and destruction of the impenitent.

Revelation 19:1 Alleluia

Meta tauta: (4X) 4:1, 7:1, 18:1; 19:1. “After these things...” / “After this”The Hallelujahs

Alleluia is the Greek form of the Hebrew Hallelujah: lit: “praise Jehovah”Derived from ‘halal’ = praise - and - ‘jah’ = name of God.

(4X) only occurrences in NT are here in Revelation = “Praise Yahweh.”(24X) in Psalms (Ps 146-150).

First use: 1 Chr 16:4 to celebrate the ark of God returning to ZionSymbol of God’s presence among His peolpe.

It is translated in the Old Testament as 'praise God‘ / ‘Praise ye the Lord’Psalm 106 Psalm 111-112 Psalm 165Psalm 146-150 Psalm 113-118 = called the halal, the praise of God.

Sung for three reasons: God has judged His enemies (Rev 19:1-4); God is reigning (Rev 19:5-6);The Bride is ready (Rev 19:7-10). Rom 8:18-23!

[1] And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 17

Revelation 19:2-3

God's judgments are called true and just1) only he can see the innermost thoughts and desires2) only he has the purity to judge without prejudice3) only he has the wisdom to find the correct judgment and the power to carry it out

Babylon is judged because she corrupted the world; she lead others into sin.Jesus spoke of the offender of the little ones having it better with a millstone around his neck in the sea.

Luk 17:1-3 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! 2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Another reason for rejoicing is the guarantee that God never abandons his own.

[2] For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. [3] And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 18

Revelation 19:3

The smoke rising for ever and ever is an indication that Babylon will never again be established.

“The Dragon Lady” of Chapter 17 has been judged for eternity.Isaiah 34:9-10 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. [10] It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

As long as God endures and as long as the believers reign with Him in glory, the wrath of God will be poured out on those who have rejected God and the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Note: Punishment is not for correction

– it is justly deserved for past actions and choices

[3] And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

Page 10: THE REVELATION OF Jesus Christ REV 19:1-21 The …crosstraining.us › Files_Revelation › pdf › Rev_19_01_21...4 Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 7 Revelation 19 ÆMarriage of the Lamb and

Revelation 19:3

Rev. 14:10-11 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: [11] And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

[3] And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 20

Revelation 19:4

This is the last appearance of the 24 elders. They become the Bride. The 24 elders representing the redeemed out of the Old Testament righteous and the Church worship God together with the Cherubim and natureGod’s throne and altar are related to His judgments;

Rev 5:6-10 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. [7] And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. [8] And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. [9] And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; [10] And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Note: The unique “Amen” “truly, truly...praise be to God”

[4] And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

Page 11: THE REVELATION OF Jesus Christ REV 19:1-21 The …crosstraining.us › Files_Revelation › pdf › Rev_19_01_21...4 Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 7 Revelation 19 ÆMarriage of the Lamb and

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 21

Revelation 19:4

The cherubim join in this worship. Note: two groups fall down and worship before they take up the Hallelujah.

For the believers, represented by the 24 elders, the destruction of "the world" that hated us because it hated Christ, causes praise and devotion from redeemed. Remember that Lucifer was originally one of the Cherubim and that when he fell he dragged down a great number of the hosts of Heaven with him. The Heavenly hosts who remained faithful to God, represented by the 4 living creatures, have cause to be thankful, worship and to praise God that they did not follow the deceiver, but that they remained forever as the symbols of God's power and authority.

[4] And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 22

Revelation 19:5

The voice may be one of the cherubim around the throne. It calls on all God’s ‘bondservants’ to join the praise and worship.

Bondservants –those who choose to never leave [Deut 15:16-17]It speaks praise to God quoting the Old Testament.

Psalm 135:1 Psalm 135:20Two groups of people are called upon the praise God:

* His servants* Those who fear him

Two groups are called his servants in Revelation:* The prophets Rev 10:7, Rev 11:18, Rev 22:6* The martyrs Rev 7:3, Rev 19:2

Those who fear him would then be the rest of the righteous.

[5] And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

Psalm 97:1 The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

One other place in the New Testament using the verbs rejoice and exult (gk: chairein and agallian) together.

Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

[7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. [8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 25

Revelation 19:7-8

Relationship between God and his people is often pictured as a marriage relationship

In any real marriage, at least 4 things need to be present:1) love - without love there is no marriage (contradiction in terms).2) intimate communion - man and wife become one / Christ and we become one.3) joy - if the relationship does not bring joy, it is flawed.4) fidelity - no marriage, no relationship can last or be real without fidelity.

Revelation 19:7-8 Marriage Supper Of The Lamb

The Church; those ‘Born Again’ through and into Christ- Body Of Christ with Jesus as Head and Bridegroom- New Creation of whom Jesus is the First Fruits

Ephes. 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; [26] That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, [27] That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

As in a true and proper marriage:• the bride and groom become one, • where one goes the other goes, • what one does the other does, • what one possesses, the other possesses.

[7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. [8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Revelation 19:7-8 Marriage Of The Lamb

The Marriage Supper Of The Lamb takes place prior to the Second Coming to earth of Jesus to put down Satan and his world system (cosmos) and to establish Jesus’ own kingdom and rule.

The ‘bride’ is now complete – all who are to be included are included. In Old Testament Israel was presented as a wife but was cast off due to her unfaithfulness

Jer 3:1-25 Hosea 2:1-23 Ezek 16:1-63Eventually she is restored and forgiven but is never taken back as a virgin bride without spot or blemish as is the Church

Ezek 36:17-36For Israel, the relationship was based on keeping God’s Law For the Church the relationship is based on Christ ‘fulfilling’ the Law – paying our penalty for our failings.

[7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. [8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Hebrew Marriage

1. Betrothal (shiddukhin): the prospective groom’s traveling from his father’s house to the home of the prospective bride, paying the purchase price, and thus establishing the marriage covenant (ketubah). Usually arranged by the parents. Binding and could only be broken by a form of divorce. Any unfaithfulness during the engagement was considered adultery.

2. The groom returns to his father’s house and remained separate from his bride during which time he prepared the living accommodations for his bride in his father’s house;

3. The groom comes for his bride at a time not known exactly to her; she lived in expectation until he surprises her on his return.

4. His return with her to the groom’s father’s house for the huppah (wedding ceremony), to consummate the marriage and to celebrate the wedding feast for the next seven days (during which the bride remained closeted in her bridal chamber).

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

At the Messianic marriage banquet, all the guests in the kingdomwill share in God's bounty.

Matthew 22:1-14 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, [2] The kingdom of

heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, [3] And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. [4] Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. [5] But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: [6] And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. [7] But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. [8] Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. [9] Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. [10] So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

[11] And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: [12] And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. [13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [14] For many are called, but few are chosen.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Revelation 19:9 The marriage supper…

Matthew 25:1-13 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and

went forth to meet the bridegroom. [2] And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. [3] They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: [4] But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. [5] While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. [6] And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. [7] Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. [8] And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. [9] But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. [10] And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. [11] Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. [12] But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. [13] Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Revelation 19:10

In the early church there was a tendency to worship angels.* In Judaism the transcendence of God was stressed leading men to believe that

man needed an intermediary with God. The angels filled that role.A correct thought – but the wrong intermediary

* The Greeks entered the church leaving a world of thought which had many gods. Many of the young Greek culture Christians simply lowered their former gods to the status of good and bad angels.

* Further the Greeks believed that God does not involve himself in the affairs of man but used 'daimons' (demons) through which he contacted man and controlled nature.

Any other intermediary between God and man than Jesus Christ must be opposed completely.

[10] And I fell at his feet to worship him [the one who was speaking with John]. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

10] “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not”:

“Hora me”: two staccato words in the Greek. Quit that !!! – Stop it !!! – Cut it out !!!This angel was not about to be ensnared as was Lucifer in Isa 14.

Worshipping angels was wrong (Col 2:18) and John knew this. The angel was only a servant of God (Heb 1:14) and we do not worship servants (Acts 10:25-26). John was overwhelmed; and he even repeats this later (22:8-9)!

Jesus permits worship: Simon Peter (Lk 5:8); Thomas (Jn 20:28); and Joshua (Josh 5:13-15), etc.

The possession of the prophetic spirit will always manifest itself in a witness to Jesus. :1) a Christian’s life is lived as a testimony to Jesus and his Lordship.2) the prophet listens to God and speaks the message he hears to men.3) a true witness and testimony of Jesus’ Lordship, looks for and depends on His soon

return – which is the hope in which we liveHope: What we believe about the future that causes us to act as we do today…

Prophecy = a fact of history not yet completed; a promise of God; our Hope

the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Why then does most of the Church ignore prophecy ??

Could it be that we do not take seriously that He is returning for us soon ??2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the

righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Revelation 19:14-16 Cutting words….

From His mouth goes a sharp (and we assume, two edged) sword. (2 Thess 2:8; Rev 2:16; 19:15, 21. Also, Ps 149:6; Isa 49:2).

Rev. 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedgedsword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

[14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeththe winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” is written on His robe and thigh. It was customary to write your General's name and your rank in several places where it would be visible whether standing face to face or on horseback. The officers on horseback would write their name, title and rank on their uniform legs (the thigh area) so that a soldier standing on the ground could see clearly who it was that he was interacting with…

Revelation 19:17-19

Birds of prey are invited to come from all over the earth and feed on the bodies of the slain. It’s happened before:

Ezekiel 39:17-19 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. [18] Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. [19] And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

Satan, his ‘Anti-christ’ leader and his False Prophet are defeated

[17] And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; [18] That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. [19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 54

Matthew 22:1-14And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Revelation 19:18 Meat lovers feast….

The Lord spoke of a great feast to which all men were freely bidden to come. For 2,000 years the Lord has sent out His servants, with an invitation to one and all, For 2,000 years men, for the most part, have flouted the love that invited them and despised the grace that pleaded with them.

The carnal mind, using the filmsest excuses possible, proves itself at enmity against God.

The Lord is the God of patience, but patience will not be mocked forever - The day of wrath has come. Those who refused the call of grace to the banquet of love will become the meal at another great supper, where their flesh will be picked clean by the fowls of the air.Tthe birds of prey are summoned by the angelic messenger in anticipation of the battle of Armageddon and the judgment of the nations, both of which are now to take place. 18] “That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond, both small and great”: “Flesh” occurs 6X in this paragraph (v.18..21);

My Speculation

+

+

+

My speculation:• Antichrist has relocated to Jerusalem following the destruction of

Babylon • Seizing an opportunity of perceived weakness, the armies of the

world march to Jerusalem to do battle with Antichrist Dan 11:44-45

• Jesus returns leading His armies and followers as He left –literally, physically, in the clouds. He leads His procession around the Earth for every eye to see for several days. Matt 26:64

• The gathering world armies quickly unite in an effort to defeat the returning true King of Kings and Lord of Lords

• They gather to stage themselves in the plain of Megeddo• Christ returns to Edom (modern Jordan – Bosrah and Petra area

– where the remnant of the believing Jews have been in refuge.• The Lord marches on Jerusalem, ascending the Mount of Olives

as He approaches.• His enemies are defeated at His word – He speaks, they are

destroyed. The armies are killed, Anti-christ and the False Prophet are sent alive into the eternal Lake of Fire and Satan is bound…

• The earth quake that results as the Lord sets foot on the Mount of Olives opens the way through the Golden Gate and Jesus takes His rightful place, never to relinquish rule over His creation.

Valley of Decision… Joel 3:9-16 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: 10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. 11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. 12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. 13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. 16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. The multitudes who are in the ‘valley of decision’ are the nations from around the world called there by God at this time of judgment that follows Jesus Christ’s Second Coming.

The valley is Armageddon. They are not there to make a decision but to listen to one.

The Lord Jesus Christ, Chief Justice of the universe, holds court for the nations. He renders the decision to which there can be no appeal.

Nahum 1:1-15 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite. [2] God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. [3] The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. [4] He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. [5] The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. [6] Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. [7] The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. [8] But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. [9] What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. [10] For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry. [11] There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the Lord, a wicked counsellor. [12] Thus saith the Lord: Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. [13] For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder. [14] And the Lord hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. [15] Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

Nahum 2:1-13 He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily. [2] For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches. [3] The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. [4] The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings. [5] He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in theirwalk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared. [6] The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved. [7] And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts. [8] But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back. [9] Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture. [10] She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness. [11] Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feeding place of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid? [12] The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin. [13] Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

Nahum 3:1-19 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not; [2] The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots. [3] The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses: [4] Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts. [5] Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame. [6] And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock. [7] And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee? [8] Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea? [9] Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers. [10] Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.

[11] Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy. [12] All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater. [13] Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars. [14] Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make strong the brickkiln. [15] There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts. [16] Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and fleeth away. [17] Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are. [18] Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them. Two Battle frontsIn the invisible world there is a simultaneous defeat of the forces of Satan.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth" (Isa. 24:21).

God will bring an end to all his enemies at the same time. The powers of Satan know that they are fighting directly against God.The kings of the earth clearly have this same knowledge.

The seal, trumpet and vial judgments and signs in Heaven have left no room for doubt in anyone’s mind.

The side they are on is a matter of conscious choice. The Devil, who was not able to prevail against Michael (Rev. 13:7-9), has now put this trust in the arm of flesh, seeking to defy, not Michael, but Christ.

"the incurable insanity of sin, which wars away in spite of defeat after defeat, against a holy God."

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 72

Revelation 19:20-21

The ‘beast’ (Antichrist) and the false prophet are cast ALIVE into ‘Hell’s Lake of Fire – eternal punishment

They are still there, alive, 1000 years later (Rev 20:10). Two are cast alive (living) into Gehenna [vs. Enoch & Elijah who were taken alive into Heaven (Ch. 11).]

The word “alive” might well be translated, "living." This word is not used here in the sense that we use it when we speak of someone being buried alive, or burned alive.

in that sense we mean that life was extinguished by earth or by fire.

When the Bible uses the word here, it means that the Antichrist and the false prophet passed while still in their human bodies

into a continued state of conscious existence in these bodies.

[20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Revelation 19:2121] “And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh”: Antichrist and the False Prophet, the visible representatives of Satan's power, have been dealt with.

The human beings who were in charge of government and who led men astray, and their followers are now to be dealt with.

Their armies are killed dead – the bird’s eat their flesh – awaiting final judgment and eternal punishment

Fowls of the air feast on their fleshFate of the defeated northern army - Ezek 39:12Fate of Christ’s foes at Armageddon - Rev 19:21

Unbelievers, when they die, go to Hades, the unseen world, the (temporary) realm of the dead. Believers go immediately into the presence of the Lord (Phil 1:19-23; 2 Cor 5:6-8). Hades will be emptied of its dead in Rev 20:13.Jesus now takes the throne upon the earth—the Throne of David (Isa 9:6, 7; Lk1:32-33).

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 74

And now for the rest of you…Judgment of the nations"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations" (Mat. 25:31-32).This verse very definitely dates the scene of this judgment of the nations.

It is not at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His believers: that is not His coming in glory.

It is not the judgment scene of the Great White Throne, in Revelation 20.:that scene is before the throne of God the Father.

NOTE: This is the moment that was prophesied to the overcomers of the church at Laodicea. "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne" (Rev. 3:21).

This is a judgment with respect to the earth’s powers at the time and their treatment of Christ’s ambassadors by the rulers of the earth.

This is not the judgment of any of the rulers of the past. There is no resurrection here. This is a judgment of those living rulers who shall be on earth at the time of the great tribulation.

These are the men who followed the rule of the Antichrist and they now receive their judgment, not so much as individuals but as men of power, as those to whom government has been committed at this time and who have abused it, taking it for themselves and for Satan and not yielding it to or for God.

Matthew 25:31 Sheep and Goats…31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

3 classes of people at the judgment of the nations.Mat 25: 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. …. 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. They are called by the Lord Jesus, "sheep," "goats" and "my brethren."

The brethren of the Lord are the Jews. During the 7-year period from the rapture of the Church to His coming in glory, the Lord has been dealing with them in a very special way.

He called 12,000 mean out from each of Israel’s 12 tribes \to be His special agents for the work that was to follow 144,000 in all.

These went out, divinely equipped, to work on behalf of the Lordthroughout all the world.

Multitudes accepted their message and believed in the Lord JesusChrist, and among these there were peoples from all of the nations of the Gentiles.

3 classes of people at the judgment of the nations. The Lord was doing a very special work in behalf of Israel at the same time. In Rev 12 Israel I presented as the woman who is hated of Satan and protected by God. Very definite promises are made to Israel which must be fulfilled.

God said that His covenant with Israel could not be broken until first of all His covenant with the sun, the moon and the stars could be broken (Jer. 33:20-21). There are several hundred prophecies in the OT concerning Israel which have a primary or a secondary application to the dealings of God with His people at this time of fulfillment – His Second Coming in Glory and the 7 preceding years…

The children of Israel were once God's chosen people. There is a period in which they are no longer His chosen people.Israel hase been set aside while God accomplishes His purpose in the Church during this present age. While this purpose is being accomplished, Israel is in the period of dispersion.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 78

Hosea: a life that is an object lesson…Hosea was to marry a wife of whoredoms and was to have three children by her.

She was to be unfaithful to Hosea but he was to love her in spite of all, even going so far as to give gifts to her lovers that she might not be in want and ultimately coming to the place where he went into the slave market and purchased her out of her low-fallen position.

No clearer picture of the love of God could be given to man.The primary teaching revolves around the naming of the 3 children of this faithful husband and the unfaithful wife.

1st child Jezreel = to take a handful of material and throw it from youHosea 1:4 I will…cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

2nd child Loruhamah = "unpitied" or "without mercy." Hosea 1:6 … I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.

3rd child Lo-ammi = "not my people," Hosea 1:9 … for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 79

Hosea: a life that is an object lesson…God has not cast away His people forever..

Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

At the end of the Great Tribulation period, at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in glory, when He will gather His people back into the land again, and will change His relationship to them once more. The other meaning of Jezreel is now brought to the fore.

"Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together . . . great shall be the day of (their planting) Jezreel" (Hos. 1:11); “I will sow her unto me in the earth" (2:23). The names of the other of Hosea’s children are also changed. "Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah" (Hos. 2:1).

The negative "Lo" is taken from their names. They are now called "objects of mercy" or "pitied," and they are called "My people."

This change is to come through the purging of the Great Tribulation."I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor [trouble] for a door of hope" (Hos. 2:14-15).

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 80

Setting aside Israel to reach the GentilesTheme of Romans 9-11"Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world [i.e., by the coming of the Gospel to all],and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles

[i.e., by the calling out of the body of believers into the Church];how much more their fulness? . . . For if the casting away of them

[at the end of the age of law]be the reconciling of the world

[Gk. kosmos, mankind; i.e., by the preaching of the Gospel],what shall the receiving of them be [i.e., God's receiving of them once more] but life from the dead [i.e., all millennial blessings]?"

(Rom. 11:11, 12, 15)Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel,

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of

Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Israel the true return"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one is in bitterness for his firstborn" (Zech. 12:10). This throne of the Lord upon the earth is not only the throne of His glory, it is also, in a very special way, the throne of David. Both comings were seen by Isaiah in one view, the Babe and the King, and the throne of His power was announced.

"Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder . . . Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom . . ." (Isa. 9:6, 7). "The Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David; And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end" (Luke 1:32-33). Also see Isa 61

The Lord Jesus gathers the nations together, not as God of all the earth, not as a rejected Saviour, but as the King of the Jews. His first act is to judge the nations on the single point of their treatment of the Jews. It is to be noted especially that this is not a judgment of the individuals as individuals but it is a judgment of nations as nations.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 82

Brethern…There is a sense in which all believers are called His brethren in a spiritual way;

Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

There is a very special sense in which Israel stands as "the brethren." "Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the

covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever" (Rom. 9:4, 5).

In addition to His brethren, there stand the nations, divided into two companies called "the sheep" and "the goats“ based upon their national treatment of Israel. It would be possible in an assembly like the United Nations to say of various nations:

• Russia, on the whole you have treated the Jews with terror throughout the centuries. • Poland, what pogroms have you not committed upon My people. • Germany, how have you made the name of My people to be brought low. • Spain, what tortures did you not inflict upon Israel in your iniquitous Inquisition. • France has treated Israel well. • Britain has been kind to Israel with brief exceptions in the times of one or two evil

monarchs. • America has allowed herself to be a haven for Israel in the largest way possible.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 83

Sheep then, not now …This judgment scene does not refer primarily to the treatment of Israel during this present age, but to their treatment during the time when the Antichrist is reigning.

The 144,000 missionaries of the cross - 144,000 St. Pauls, will all be Jews. How they are treated as they go to every corner of the world with the Gospel, preaching to every creature on the face of the earth is in question?

They receive harsh treatment in some countries; good treatment in others. The Lord speaks first to those nations who have done well in this respect.

"Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world" (Matt. 25:34).

The nations themselves are astonished. They do not realize the basis of the judgment.

When they ask for an explanation, the Lord answers that as they have treated the Jews, so they have treated Him, for they were His ambassadors.

The result of the judgment is that these nations are those who are permitted to enter into the earthly Kingdom which is now set up.

There is no question of the “salvation” of these nations. They are not all believers. They are not sent off to destruction, but are permitted to live on into the kingdom,

to become the progenitors of those who shall people the earth during the Millennium for the final test.

Some of them will, undoubtedly, become saved. Some of them, most certainly, as we shall later see, will be among the lost.

But they are indeed blessed of the Father to be the ones chosen for such an opportunity as now lies before them.

Acts 17:11 1 Thes 5:21 84

Goats then and now

The other nations are called the goats. • They have and will continue to mistreat Israel.• They spurn the message of grace that was brought by the 144,000

missionaries of the cross of Jesus Christ. • They take the servants of the Lord and put them to death. • They gave them neither meat nor drink, • and when they were in prison or sick gave them no care nor comfort.

So Jesus in judgment announces to them, Matt 25: 41 … Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared

for the devil and his angels: … 45 Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but therighteous into life eternal.

Goats then and nowThe judgment of the nations is ended. Rev 19:21] “And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh”:

This describes the physical, bodily aspect of the judgment of the "goat" nations.

What of their souls and spirits? "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels . . . And these shall go away into everlasting punishment" (Mat 25:41, 46)

Those who refuse the Word and take but the sword against the Word shall perish by the Word. This is the final basis of judgment. God has given us the Bible – His Word.

Those who refuse to hear and heed it shall perish in accordance with its announced judgments.
