Cooking And Grilling Bags FAQQ: Grocery stores usually use an adhesive pricing label that is applied to meat and deli items. Is it safe to use the BBQ bags and Cooking bags with these stick-on barcode labels?A: Yes, it is. Most standard paper barcode labels are safe to cook with as long as they are placed on the clear top face of the bags.

Q: Do the bags leak liquids?A: The bags are leak-resistant and should not leak if they are sealed properly.

Q: Do the bags control odor?A: The bags will lock in any odors if they are sealed properly, which is particularly appealing to customers that are purchasing fish and seafood.

Q: Can I refrigerate food inside the Cooking and BBQ bags to use later?A: Yes. You can keep food refrigerated inside the bags to use later as long as the foods remain fresh.

Q: Can I freeze food inside the Cooking and BBQ bags to use later?A: Yes, both bags can be frozen with food inside to use later. As you would with any perishable frozen food, be sure to follow the correct defrosting guidelines.

Q: Are the bags available in different colors?A: Stock Cooking bags are made with a clear top and a brown or black bottom. Other colors are available as a custom order. The BBQ bags are available only with a clear top and aluminum foil bottom. If you would like to customize your own Cooking bag, please contact the Elkay Plastics Custom department (contact information on page 32) for more information on different col-ors, sizes and printing.

Q: Is custom printing and labeling available for the Cooking and BBQ bags?A: Yes, we can accommodate custom printing and labeling. Please contact the Elkay Custom department (contact informa-tion on page 32) or your Elkay Sales Consultant for informa-tion and pricing.

Q: Should I pierce the Cooking bags or BBQ bags before I use them?A: No. The bags will expand during cooking as steam is re-leased and pressure in the bag increases. This is a good thing since it will prevent the bag from sticking to the food and cre-ate a perfect cooking environment inside the bag. When the pressure reaches a specific level, steam will gently escape through the adhesive seal to prevent bursting

Q: Should I flip the food inside the Cooking bag or BBQ bag to cook both sides evenly?A: No, do not flip the food! One of the incredible features of both the Cooking and BBQ bags is that they hold and build up heat inside, which cooks both sides of the food evenly and eliminates the need to flip the food.

Cooking Bags FAQQ: Where can the Cooking bags be used?A: The Cooking bags can be used in a microwave, conventional oven, or convection oven. They cannot be used on a stove, bar-becue, or grill.

Q: What is the recommended Cooking temperature range for the Cooking bags?A: Ideal cooking performance is achieved at 350° F. Always preheat a conventional or convection oven to your selected temperature before placing the bag in the oven. This product should be never be used at a temperature above 400º F.

Q: What are the Cooking bags made from?A: The face layer is made from a heat-resistant clear polyester (PET) film while the back layer is made from Glassine (brown or black) paper laminate. The adhesive seal on the self-sealing bag is made from an FDA compliant adhesive with a finger-lift cover. All components are made from 100% virgin materials that are FDA compliant for food contact.

BBQ Bags FAQQ: Where can the BBQ bags be used?A: The BBQ bags can be used in a barbecue, grill, conventional oven, or convection oven. They cannot be used on a stove or in a microwave due to the bag’s bottom layer of aluminum foil.

Q: What is the recommended Cooking temperature range for the BBQ bags?A: Ideal grilling temperatures for this product range between 200º F and 400º F. Do not surpass 450º F when using this bag. The bags should always be used with the foil side directly on the grill with the grill lid kept open.

Q: Should I close the Barbeque or Grill lid when using the BBQ bags?A: No. Due to the bags’ special material, heat is trapped inside the bag to cook both sides of the food inside evenly. If the Bar-beque lid is closed and the heat is set to a high temperature, particularly above 350ºF, temperatures inside the grill can rise above 400ºF quickly and weaken the PET film material. The lid can be closed when the Barbeque or Grill is set to a lower tem-perature, but it is not necessary.

Q: What are the BBQ bags made from?A: The top layer is made from clear heat-resistant polyester (PET) film. The middle component is made from non-stick siliconized greaseproof paper, while the bottom component is made from aluminum foil (all FDA compliant). The adhesive seal is made from an FDA compliant adhesive with a finger-lift cover.

TERMS AND CONDITIONSMinimum Order : $100 Net (a $10 small order charge will be added to orders of less than $100).Terms : (On Approved Accounts) 1% 10 days, Net 30.Sales Tax : Sales tax will be charged unless a current sales tax exemption certificate is on file with Elkay.Delivery : Freight prepaid on orders of $2000 or more for a single shipment to the same destination. Orders less than $2000 are shipped freight prepaid/add or freight collect. UPS shipments are prepaid/add. Additional freight costs that may be incurred for inside deliveries, lift gate, residential deliveries, or sort and segregate activities must be paid by the Buyer.

Inspection : Buyer should inspect Products as promptly as practical after receipt. However, unless earlier rejected or accepted, the Products shall be deemed to be accepted 5 days after receipt by Buyer.Returns : Incorrect shipments will be exchanged or refunded after inspection by Elkay personnel if Elkay is notified within 5 days of receipt of Products. Except for custom orders, other returns may be made within 10 days of receipt and are subject to a standard 15% restocking charge. Returns must be shipped freight prepaid. Buyer must obtain return authorization and shipping instructions from our Customer Care Department before returning Products.

Product Warranties : Products are warranted for 90 days from the date of delivery to be free from defects in material and workmanship and to conform to Elkay’s published specifications applicable to such Products. Elkay makes no other warranties, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall Elkay’s liability for breach of warranty exceed the price of the Product involved.Damaged Shipments : Although Elkay pallet wraps almost all orders to protect them in shipment, damage in transit occasionally does occur. If your shipment is damaged, write the details on the bill of lading, put the shipment aside and notify the freight carrier. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to file a damage claim with the carrier promptly after inspecting the shipment.Samples : As an additional service, samples are provided free of charge for most Products listed in our catalog. However, we reserve the right to limit quantities. Samples may be requested via your Elkay sales representative or online at www.elkayplastics.com.Custom Orders : Requests for items not found in the catalog can be made through our Custom Manufacturing Department.
