Introduction to the Way

The pilgrim’s way is a route that connects all the

European countries to “Santiago de Compostela” in

Spain.

The principal route, which comes from St. Jean-Pied-de-

Port in France, consists of 30 stages, although there are

many other possible routes.

A little part of the waySome students of 3rd

grade at I.E.S Ibaialde did part of the way.

We started in the high

school, from there we went to Villava, and then to Pamplona.

During the way, we met some pilgrims of different nationalities. Some of us, were talking with them using English.

We visited a shelter where we met a Germancouple that were volunteers there. They

showed us the premises.

Finally we arrived in Pamplona and we visited a bigger shelter. Our journey was nothing compared with the whole route but it was a sample of what the way is.
